I am so glad that my child was never under her control. I do believe conversations would always be tilted in her favor, no matter how they actually happened.
I used to work for a non-profit in NYC and there was a dry cleaner who donated clothes that had been left every three months to us. Under New York State law, dry cleaners have to hold clothes for at least 6 months (the plaintiff is actually right about that) . So each delivery was clothes that had been left for six to nine months. Without fail, 1-3 people would contact us after each delivery trying to get their clothes.
Seriously? So they knew how long the dry cleaners had to keep it, and who the dry cleaners donated to. They would get their clothes cleaned, waited, then came to you, relying on your generous nature, to give them the clothes and skip the bill? Ingenuous! But did that work?

The organization I worked for is quite big, and has a bunch of different programs serving literally thousands of clients. I'm guessing the 6 months rule is for the 6 months after you drop them off, not 6 months after they inform you it's been 2 years so come get your stuff?
@@StevenCootware I truly feel like due to covid and not working she was broke and haven’t saved her money instead buying clothes every week so she doesn’t wear the same clothes over again . This is beyond laziness. Who doesn't pick up their clothes after 1 year - never mind 2 years? Smh.... I knew the plaintiff lost the case when she said it had been 2 years lol
This woman was using the laundry mat as her personal closet... She has ALOT of clothes and she doesn't have room and she wasn't working and she said I don't need them I'll leave them there.. And now all of a sudden your daughter is taking u to get them after this accident... But it's hard for me to believe she couldn't take u before that day.. Or better yet u were hurt.. Give her the ticket(call ahead and let them know she's coming so she won't have problems) and let her pick the stuff up. She's full of it. The defendant was so cool because he knew she had no legal standing. The end.
I feel bad for her because I think somewhere in her head it made sense, but I also know how much nice clothes cost, and I would never just assume 156 pieces of clothing are safe anywhere other than my closet. 🤦🏻♀️
So essentially the plaintiff spent every spare moment she had, dealing with her drycleaning. Phoning to confirm the clothes could sit there, then they extended numerous courtesy calls (Because she was the only one they were chasing down) to her. She went in to see how long they could be held, and it is all predicated on a lie, because the shop never closed! Is she an actual principal in a real school? The woman has zero credibility, and does not seem trustworthy whatsoever!
(In reference to them talking about The Office and Steve Carrell at the very end of this episode.) FYI: While the UK and the US Office are different in highlighting the cultural and comedic styles of the cultures, the premise and production styles are the same. All that to say that Ricky Gervais and Stephan Merchant co-wrote the UK Office and out of that, birthed the US version of The Office. Ricky Gervais was one of the executive producers for the US Office. Steve Carrell only wrote two episodes for the US Office. A lot of people don’t even know that there is a UK Office or that it came first and that Ricky a Gervais was a huge reason for that iconically hilarious show. The man is a comedic genius.
Oh wow, Randy. I was so proud of you when I heard you opened up your company. Now, a lawsuit.... knowing you as a young child, he was very business savvy....
Didn't this woman say she was a Principal?? From the beginning of this case she has been talking in circles. She is not being truthful at all. I have dry cleaned clothes and there is 30 days that the dry cleaner would hold your items. Principal, you need to be ashamed of yourself and now I'd need to question the examples you are setting for your staff and students smh.
She's one of those very vain people who fancies themselves so much that she actually believes that they actually meant they were "giving her extra time" when the young man said after the 4th of March the clothes wouldn't be there, so she had until then. However she tripped and stumbled and got her story mixed up about the two phone calls too, so she tried talking over Judge Marilyn for a long time there, trying to re-frame the narrative. So no. I think she was deceptive and arrogant, while the dry cleaner kept it simple up until he wanted storage fees... lol. The producers must push the defendants to go for counter-claims of any kind at all, no matter how outrageous they sound- for good TV.
Boy oh boy! This lady feels a sense of entitlement! Hope this put her in her place! Can you just imagine what the poor parents at the school has to endure with “ Little Ms can’t be wrong”..?? Just……wow🥴
She’s a principal but is doing a terrible job explaining her case. Not to mention…she has no reasonable excuse for not picking up her clothes. She’s crazy if she thought JM would rule in her favor.
This is what self entitlement gets you. In the real world, 30 days after you've been given notice that your clothes are ready, if you haven't come in to pay and pick up your clothes, they can be considered abandoned and this laundry\dry cleaner, went way beyond the call of duty, because of Covid and this woman lied in court to try to get compensated for a whole new wardrobe. I bet she gained weight from not working and the clothes weren't even going to fit her anymore!
First she couldn't pick up her clothes because they were closed, then she couldn't do it because she was in a car accident and couldn't move, then her daughter just happened to be with her when she spoke to them with the phone on speaker. 🙄
I rarely go to the cleaners because I’m so forgetful. Like when I go I have to set a reminder on my phone right there in the cleaners so I won’t forget them. Longest my stuff stayed was 1 week and I called the cleaners in a panic and apologized for forgetting. They were so nice they were like no you have a month(which I never knew) but this woman is nuts. What tf make her think she has a right to keep her clothes there over a year
She thought she deserved special treatment and they would just hold all those clothes until she got around to it. 2 years was more than generous. This was entirely on her.
She is making every excuse on the book the bottom line is she is the Principal at a school I find it HARD to believe that she didn't have 1 person that could have gone to pick up her clothes...the bottom line is she should have picked up her clothes in 2019
She’s full of it! Nassau county had much more lenient rules than us in NYC during the height of Covid. Almost all of their businesses were open by JUne 2020. She found any excuse just not to pick up her clothes.

They let her get away for years until they were not making money like they used to before shut down. It’s sad she has to take accountability maybe if she tried to pay something . Even if it’s a lil to show faith and actually told them the truth I think he would’ve worked with her.
She's a Principal? Geesh.
This is beyond laziness. Who doesn't pick up their clothes after 1 year - never mind 2 years? Smh.... I knew the plaintiff lost the case when she said it had been 2 years lol
And this lady's a principal. This just proves they will hire anybody. These are the kind of values she's going to try to instill in our kids.
It blows my mind how incredibly ignorant the Plaintiff is- how she's shaking her head when JM is explaining how legally she has nothing to stand on.
The fact that they brought up "The Office" just shows me more why I love her and this show.
The end.
She was delusional from the very beginning of this case😂
So disappointing for an educator to be so clueless...
I feel bad for her because I think somewhere in her head it made sense, but I also know how much nice clothes cost, and I would never just assume 156 pieces of clothing are safe anywhere other than my closet. 🤦🏻♀️
The car accident really scrambled her eggs
@@graciennepritchett6967 🤣😂😂😂
Is ok she will receive 200 pieces of clothing as a reward for those who now have some clothing due to the donation. :)
she's a school principal?! really?! 😂 I find that incredibly hard to believe
I cannot believe that JMM took this long with this woman. She would normally have ruled by now. This was drawn out way too long.
She looked pretty surprised by how entitled the plaintiff was so I think she let her talk more just to see if she's actually serious 🤔
dramatization in her head she is saying "what an idiot!"
I was waiting for her to scold her for railroading over her so many times. Haha she just gave up
@@MannyBlaaze For a principal I though she was pretty rude to do that. Talking over people is always rude behavior.
She is irrational and I can’t believe she’s a principal/educator. I could say more but…
😄
This lady is hilarious. Two years dear, two years
So essentially the plaintiff spent every spare moment she had, dealing with her drycleaning.
It’s everybody’s fault but hers.
Talk about the lack of accountability and entitlement from the Plaintiff!!!
The plaintiff demonstrates why our schools are such failures.
I don't see the relationship. She has nothing to do with the curriculum.
@@Imissyoulou right
@@Imissyoulou Thank you!!
@@Imissyoulou but she does have something to do with the guidance of the students who make up said schools.
i am surprised they kept the close this long. most will give the clothes away after 30 days. the rules apply to everyone else but not for her
I'm surprised she didn't pull the race card too.
@@getin3949 Huh??? They’re both black lmao
@@getin3949 it’s hard when the business is the same race
@@getin3949 how would she? They’re literally both black that makes no sense
(In reference to them talking about The Office and Steve Carrell at the very end of this episode.)
FYI: While the UK and the US Office are different in highlighting the cultural and comedic styles of the cultures, the premise and production styles are the same.
Why does this judge allow these people to be so disrespectful to her by talking over her!? I just want to slap them quiet!,😡
She had zero accountability whatsoever 🤦🏾♀️
Oh wow, Randy. I was so proud of you when I heard you opened up your company. Now, a lawsuit.... knowing you as a young child, he was very business savvy....
Scott’s Tot’s is my favorite episode of the office as well 🤣🤣🤣
Didn't this woman say she was a Principal??
So no. I think she was deceptive and arrogant, while the dry cleaner kept it simple up until he wanted storage fees... lol. The producers must push the defendants to go for counter-claims of any kind at all, no matter how outrageous they sound- for good TV.
she left her clothes for 2 years 🤦🏽♀️ and shocked they gave it away
Why is no one talking about that it was less than 100$ for 156 pieces of clothes to be dry cleaned ........that is Amazing!!!
She said they had a special deal.
I don't even own 156 pieces of clothing.
Dry cleaners needs to add a late fee and storage fee to his customer contracts/agreements!
Knowing the Judge likes the Office makes me ❤️ her even more
First she couldn't pick up her clothes because they were closed, then she couldn't do it because she was in a car accident and couldn't move, then her daughter just happened to be with her when she spoke to them with the phone on speaker. 🙄
And she runs a school 😮 oh my !
She's asking $30 a piece for used clothing! It's value is $500, not $5000.
I wish the defendant was awarded the Storage fee
I rarely go to the cleaners because I’m so forgetful. Like when I go I have to set a reminder on my phone right there in the cleaners so I won’t forget them. Longest my stuff stayed was 1 week and I called the cleaners in a panic and apologized for forgetting. They were so nice they were like no you have a month(which I never knew) but this woman is nuts. What tf make her think she has a right to keep her clothes there over a year
I feel sorry for the kids at her school.
I don’t even own 156 items of clothing let alone enough clothes to function without said items. Just another reason to wear cotton.
She is totally ridiculous. She is lucky they kept the clothes for 2 years. She didn’t want to pay for the dry cleaning.
Why would you think it's not abandoned after 30 days let alone a year!!
Every excuse in the world 🌍
She is a school principal? No wonder kids struggle with accountability!
The fact that she just lying 🤣🤣
She thought she deserved special treatment and they would just hold all those clothes until she got around to it. 2 years was more than generous. This was entirely on her.
Stood B thinks she can leave clothes at a dry cleaner for 2 years?! You ain't special!
You can tell she think she is
She is making every excuse on the book the bottom line is she is the Principal at a school I find it HARD to believe that she didn't have 1 person that could have gone to pick up her clothes...the bottom line is she should have picked up her clothes in 2019
...This crazy nut's reaction is as if she had the clothes in the dry cleaners for two weeks and they did away with it! wth???
She’s full of it! Nassau county had much more lenient rules than us in NYC during the height of Covid. Almost all of their businesses were open by JUne 2020. She found any excuse just not to pick up her clothes.
