Are you left handed (2:54) or right handed (3:01)? When I first started playing in 1966, it wasn't until 1970 that I switched teachers and started learning fingerstyle - mostly in the folk genre on a classical guitar. The electric my parents bought me when I started lessons was relegated to the closet for a few years. My parents often observed I would zone out - or "veg out" - ignoring all - so mom took to throwing things at me to get my attention - and I would simply duck and keep playing. It frustrates my wife still. Playing and creating transports me to a place of happiness and serenity. The note pad is a great idea - you won't accidently erase that like I once did my pocket digital recorder. I'm a lefty, BTW - and play regular right handed guitar. I figure that made an acoustic fingerstylist instead of an electric guitar player. Admittedly, my guitar playing has only ever been good enough to self-accompany my original songs. I've never been the sort to practice the hours per day required to perfect a song or go pro.
Hi, thanks so much for the comment and your story 😊🙏. I’m right handed. Classical guitars are great, I have a few of them, although they’re only cheap old ones I love playing around with new songs on them. Thanks again!
Ah, daydreaming, my favourite pastime. Staring into the middle distance. My wife asks, "What are you looking at?", and the answer is always the same, "Nothing". The best way is while playing the guitar- it gives your thoughts a soundtrack... 🎶☁☁☁🎶
We have a lot in common. writing songs on a lowden o size and dream all your live, people in the past saying it's not any good he dreams to much. And than I go to Italy to dream even more because my wife is coming from Italy to play also a lot more. The only difference is I think I'm a welder for profession and I struggle a lot to practice enough en struggle to finish my songs. Nice to hear something like this. Ooh yeh greetings from Holland I live in Holland 😂😂
Hi, thanks for the nice comment. Wow, we do have lots in common! I also struggle to finish my songs sometimes, plus I used to live on a Narrowboat made of steel so I’ve done my fair share of welding. Glad you enjoyed the video!! 😊
Well done, when you think of 8hrs work and 8hrs sleep (rare) there is not a lot of time to daydream. If you're living in a city, you should always be aware of your surroundings most of the time or you could end up hurt/dead. It really wasn't like this years ago, but it's a reality check these days.
That’s very true! It’s getting harder and harder to find any spare time these days! I’m lucky because I don’t have a 9-5 job so some days I have more time to be creative but I understand that with work, family, kids, relationships and just general life getting in the way it’s so hard to find these moments of creativity for a lot of people.
Beautiful area, love the music you played throughout.
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it 😊🙏
Your videos are so relaxing.. words can't describe how good your guitar playing sounds.
Thanks so much!! I really appreciate you saying that 😊🙏 glad you’re enjoying the videos!!

“Giving thoughts a soundtrack!!” I love it 😊👍
@@FabianHollandGuitar I have aphantasia (I can't make mental images), so I need a soundtrack to my thoughts to make up for the lack of visuals!
@@geej12ah okay, I understand now. So the music kind of helps you retain your thoughts or something like that?
