I'm using a Zoom A1xFour multi effects pedal for a vibrato on the low end paralleled with the Boss SY-200 synthesizer for a high end soft pad. These sandwich in the natural resonance of an electro-acoustic hammered dulcimer for an incredibly rich tone.

My cedar top steel string is the loudest guitar I’ve ever heard and other guitar players always comment on the tone. Was my very first guitar 31 years ago and it’s overdue for a refret. I can’t wait to play it again. Great guitar

KM184 is my goto for acoustic guitar as well, I think that mic is a perfect match for acs gtrs imo.

Hello Fabian ! Greetings from sourthern USA ! I want to know if you know of any case that would fit a resonator concert size acoustic guitar ? It's my new ortega and kind of a 🦛Hippo, its 42 inches long and 19 at the wide part about 6 inches thick and i'm not having any success. Any thoughts or suggestions ? Love mine. Aside from acoustic recording, I can connect it to my old 70s amp (line out) and record from the turntable, using the old amp's phono preamp, to making my records 'portable'. Damn, that's a nice guitar. You're getting a great sound!

Yeah, I've been hooked on finger style playing my 6/12 string acoustic electrics through my pedal effects just like this... Love the natural full sound through the effects, but sometimes you have to compress and tighten the range to get it through some pedal effects without artifacts... Anyway, I liked the feeling and emotion of your playing... 🙂

What is the genre of music at 2:40?

I learned to play by mostly making notes on the guitar and went with the flow of those notes to build upon it. I Learned to hit a bass note or cord to keep the timing and feel of the song alive. I never knew what I was doing was a thing, and then I just found your lesson here and realized hey I guess I stumbled across a bone fid system of creating music. I love your music it is the type of music I got pulled into playing the guitar with. Thanks for the tips and guidance on this musical journey.

You will not believe this; I have been practicing a song by Travis Meadows for over two weeks now. Actually two songs, one is called “Learning To Live Alone” and the other is called “It Gets Better” It is in open tuning, I found out open ~C but there was still something missing. I also found out that the e string needed to be tuned to d. No tutorials anywhere. Today I went back to this video and now I know what it is called lol. Cadd9. Check out Travis Meadows, he has a story to tell, amazing!!

So, finally commenting using my proper content creation account 🙂 This was really useful and is similar to how I do things but I am definitely gonna be stealing a few of your ideas... the one-take video is what I always go for so this was just right for my needs. Still deciding whether I am gonna go with a condenser or ribbon for the one mic setup! Also love the small forest of guitars in the background 😀 Have you done a video on post-processing these one-mike takes? Mix and master... or just master?
