@foxmotors1 there's a group called baem, they have a website with old baem newsletters, there's one of them that have info on how to make plugs, corian as insulator for instance. also, you can get micro plugs, for under 20 bucks a piece. the ignition system, they probably use points in most, but look up TIM-4, it's a transistor ignition for model engines, free schematics, artwork and sources. the timing, much like the real thing.
Can you please share the engine schematic, I'm planning to build an engine like this but I'm kinda confused how the fuel goes to the valve and how the exhaust goes through the valve to the exhaust
I have a few questions, if I may ask: 1. Is this powered my RC fuel, or gasoline? 2. How many strokes is this engine? Looks like a 2 stroke, seeing that no oil is present. 3. How much experience did you have to make this? I feel like designing one in my free time, if that's possible. Thanks!
I would bet it is a engine that is run on Glow fuel. Some folks use glow plugs but have no spark plugs & the wires are made to look like it is a spark ignition. With Glow fuel the timing is done by the way it is set up. A more easy way !
You need a milling machine, a lathe and knowledge to work with them. Then you should buy a building plan and start to work ;-) I'm also working with self-made engines, i did it at the same way !
