Mia is a great artist, but the only reason her music seems so "global" is bc she uses black london influence where they mix American hip hop, with Jamaican dancehall/reggae, and afro beats because those are the groups of that black diaspora that migrated there. She also uses her own Sri Lankan culture often, but a majority of her music is simply "global" black music. It's really not that big of a phenomenon

Found Mura Masa on Soundcloud in 2015 when he dropped his Somewhere Someday EP. I felt like I had found something that I wanted to keep all to myself but couldn't resist sharing his tunes with all of my friends. Whoever wrote the algorithm that somehow made Love$ick to be the next recommended track in my listening session, bless you. Love from India.
Alex, or Mura Masa, is such a talented guy. It's so cool that you also quickly mentioned Majestic Casual, as it was through that channel I discovered him. I've followed him since then, and yes, Love$ick was the breakthrough for him into the mainstream scene, but many of his songs before the release of Love$ick are just as good if not even better.
I seen the guy at sub club back in 2015 and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to despite the lack of crowd at the time, dudes blown up since then!
