*Did your body change after pregnancy? Did you return to your pre-pregnancy size after giving birth?* If so, how long did it take? No wrong answers! I'm curious what will happen to mine. Should I buy new clothes now or wait a while?
Our bodies are all amazing no matter the shape or size!!
Wait. In 3 months I was back to my pre baby weight and in 6 months I was already lighter and smaller than before baby. Im 33, breastfed and gave birth via c section as well
I felt like things in my body shifted around a bit after pregnancy, like my hips and breasts are certainly a different shape. I went back to my pre-pregnancy weight fairly quickly after giving birth (only a few weeks) but this is normal in my family and I definitely didn't do anything special to "bounce back" or whatever. (I also exclusively breastfed and my son was almost 8 lb at birth) BUT my pre-pregnancy clothing didn't fit right again until like a year after my son was born. So don't get rid of your fave clothes just yet! I almost got rid of a bunch of lululemon leggings during pregnancy and I'm glad I didn't.
@@hundhundkatt Thank you for sharing!! I've heard similar from a few friends. I'm antsy having all theses clothes that don't fit me right now.
I had my son when I was 23 (now 25) and I bounced back immediately. I had no stomach the minute after I gave birth. BUT my metabolism isn’t as fast now (if that’s even related to post partum?) and I feel like it’s easier to gain weight now, which I have. My boobs got saggier and didn’t shrink (I didn’t breast feed) but my hips got wider as well. I used to be a size 27, now I’m a 30. Give yourself a year or so to “bounce back” I’d say! It could be shorter or longer than that! No matter what, we’re incredible for growing and birthing humans and that’s what’s most important, but you know that :) congrats Julia! Honor is lucky to have you as her mama
I actually got a lot lighter but unfortunately not in a healthy way! With my first child it took one week, with my second it took 3 months. I didn’t realise just how much extra you need to be eating to nourish your body while you’re breastfeeding! I ended up having to buy more clothes but in smaller sizes, however I’m currently trying to gain weight so that I’m back to my pre-pregnancy size. It certainly wasn’t something I was expecting to happen!
Oh my gooosssshhh the sweetest parents. The clip of Nick playing and singing to her and you getting emotional is so beautiful.
I just 🤧🥹🤧🤧🤧
I literally tested up
@@itsblitzzz right! I was feeling silly tearing up, then I heard your sniffles and was like cool cool we’re in this together mama 🤣🥹
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
😭❤️
“Why’re you crying?” Nick, we’re all crying! So sweet, Julia. Blessings to your little fam. ❤
His voice sounded so tender in that moment 🥹
Yes!! Before he even asked Julia why she was crying or before I knew she was crying, I was crying!!! Lol 🥹🥰 so unbelievably sweet.
i legit almost cried at that part
Nick is becoming more camera friendly. Loving this transition ☺️
This honestly just makes me feel grateful to be alive. Holding hope that we can all have enough resources and support to build families, have peaceful & connected moments with the people we love, safe homes, good food to eat. So so lovely.
This made me cry 💕💕💕
❤
The world is totally going down the drain.
Good food and stuff soon will be history. Pray to god in jesus name and repent!
I'm not offensive at all just wish u all the best! Everyone here! Be prepared! God bless 🍀
The way Nick played guitar for her was so cute!! She’s so lucky to have you two as her parents. 🌞
Yes She is 💯
He plays for her every day, she seems to really like it! 🥹 Thank you for the kind words
You and Nick are so giggly and smiley 🥹 parenthood looks hard but these moments filled with laughter and tears surrounding your baby girl just seems like the best thing in the world.
I've never had a baby and I'm just 21, however I'm very much interested in how pregnancy changes the body and stuff. I want to be a mum in the future, but I've never seen or been taught about all these little things about pregnancy and not knowing makes it scary and just a daunting experience when it shouldn't be. Honestly as a clueless girl, I couldn't be more grateful for you for sharing so much of your own privacy with the world. I really appreciate you and your content, Julia
I'm not a medical professional but look to the women in your family for an idea of how your body might change if you have a baby! I think genetics play a big role in what happens to your body.
@@kittychasesquirrels I wish I could, sadly none of my aunts and cousins had any children, and my mum doesn't talk to me about any of those things. I normally look up to other women in my community, from classes I take and associations, :) but mostly online I find the most transparency
It's all very particular. Genetics and self care and how many pregnancies you've had and how you delivered and the size of the baby
all play very much into it!
Taking good care of yourself before, during and after pregnancy helps!
For me, being active, eating well during pregnancy, using virgin coconut oil on my skin after every shower, having twins and exclusively nursing them for six months were huge positive factors.
I would say don't let people scare you. Every woman has a different experience.
The bond you have with your baby and her daddy playing his guitar and singing to her will stay with her forever and she will be a beautiful well balanced loved child ....I wish that for all children to have parents like you
I am so appreciative of these videos you have been posting about motherhood! Thank you so much!
Thank you for the kid words! Thank you for being here to share them!! ❤❤❤
I've been watching you for years at this point and JUST found out I'm pregnant for the first time. I cannot describe how comforting it is to see you have your baby and share these beautiful moments with us. It makes me less scared. Thank you. 💜
Congratulations!! Don't be afraid, it's going to be the best thing ever ❤️
I always thought that you are an honest person with a big heart. Now, watching you as a mum in those raw, unfiltered moments you are more stunning than ever. You are a gift for all of us and your family❤️
This is very kind. Thank you. 🥹❤️
The small guitar moment was the best thing that happened in my day
This has to be the cutest video I’ve ever seen, crying right along side that cute little song. That’s intense, going right back to dinner. You’re an inspiration frfr, Julia ❤
Nick being a dad is the best thing ever!!! 🥺 I love you guys!!
The image of you cooking dinner with the sound of Nick playing for the baby in the background is my new definition of peace (and love). I cried with you. So happy for you and your family, you are truly an inspiration.
Julia, this was by far my favourite video of yours. so cozy and full of warmth. it felt like such an intimate safe space while watching. also more free - flowing than ever and less structured. like a home - video or a memory you share with us. I love it!
You were made to be a mother. It is so beautiful seeing you in this stage of life!
That wonderful eye contact between daddy and baby while he played for her made me tear up. Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing all of this with us. I used to watch your videos as a form of escape and you've helped me be so much kinder to myself thru the way you give yourself space and recognition in all you do and how you allow everyone else to be themselves as well. I truly love you guys as parents.
I always advocate for buying new clothes if you can afford it. I think that having clothes that fit your current body helps mentally. Three years later and my body has fluctuated some since but never gone back to "normal."
Agree! I gained a lot and am still having a hard time losing (4.5 years later!). Just trying to show myself grace and clothes that fit are the best
Love love love that Nick is singing and playing to her. She was so calm and focused on him and the music. She is beautiful❤
Well, I never expected to think Nick singing about her farts is the most lovely thing I’ve ever heard. But here we are. Ya’ll are such a sweet little family! 💜
Also, I’d have been pumped to get Maldon Salt, I think it’s a fabulous idea.
Literally crying over your beautiful family and sweet life!!!! I’m sooo happy for you, Julia ❤️ Thank you for sharing these glimpses with us!
That was SO beautiful and heart-warming to hear Nick singing and playing guitar for the baby!! I’m sure your heart was exploding with love just experiencing that! ❤
You seem “lighter” love how you are embracing mamahood, I’m so proud of you!
Every body changes with motherhood, I’m not sure you ever return, but you can still have a beautiful body, but different, but embrace that too, it’s an honor denied to many!
Nick playing to Honour was so so so sweeeettt! Also the little story about why you have so much salt truly speaks so many volumes on your personality. I appreciate the part of you that goes on the hunt for the best socks, the best salt, the best water bottle and all that research fuelled jazz. Then the fact that you wanna share all of the favorite and best things with other people is so sweet and loving. You continue to be my favourite person on the internet and every video reminds me exactly why! Sending you n your family all the love! ❤
OMG, Nick looks sooooooo happy and proud as a dad. And the way he was playing and singing for her and you crying...awww. So much love for you guys!!! So cute!
Nick's voice and guitar playing are SO beautiful! I want to hear more!!! Your daughter seems to LOVE it and it's so sweet!!
Ugh I loved this little glimpse into a rainy day in your casa. It seemed so cozy 🥲
Julia, you were the first person I watched on youtube as a sort of public figure here. You helped me through one of the most challenging and difficult times in my life. It is such a joy to see you so happy and blessed as a mother. It brings me such warmth to see you happy. You're such an amazing person. Thank you and blessed be to you and your darling family
I cried when Nick was playing and singing to her 😭 it was such a beautiful and precious moment 🥺
I’m so extremely excited for this chapter of your and Nick’s life! ❤ the video of nick singing to the baby warmed my heart 🤍
Omg you guys made the cutest baby, not surprised! 💕💕
*motherhood looks good on you 💫💕
Omg seeing Nick with her is so precious! I wish I had a dad!! 💕💕💕😭
This has to be one of my favorite videos you’ve ever posted ❤ so wholesome and sweet to see you just living life with your family.
1. You look incredible!
2. Nick playing for her and singing to her is the sweetest thing 🥹
The tidbit of Nick playing the guitar for her has my heart in shambles. Nick definitely looks more vibrant now that this beauty was born!!
motherhood looks so beautiful on you :,) so happy for you julia & thx for the content, it's so relaxing
What a precious child you have created 💗 Good job Julia and Nick. I was crying right along with you 😂
You guys make being parents look so great
This was just so beautiful on so many levels. I’m so happy for this little soul that found her way into your lives, so happy for you and Nick to share such a love for each other and for Honor, and so happy you decided to share that with us via video 💕
I don’t even want kids and I teared up so much watching 😂💜
You guys are literally the sweetest! I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, but soak up all that baby love while you can ❤
I had my last baby in March, and I’d give anything to have those newborn cuddles and coos again.
The moments with you and nick throughout this whole video made me smile and feel so comforted. Seeing you as parents makes me so excited to be pregnant someday!!
I cried when Nick was singing too. So sweet. You are doing awesome, mama.
One of my favorite videos ever. I definitely teared up when you cried! You guys are absolutely wonderful and I love seeing the amazing chemistry 🧡 I'm 9 months PP from a c section and still can't fully get rid of this pouch 😅 So you're doing great!
Nick playing for the baby made me pass away. She paid so much attention!!!
awwwwwwww daddy singing to her made me cry too how beautiful that was omgosh she's really growing and getting expressions and soon she'll be talking and laughing she's so beautiful and im loving watching her change and grow with every video and post
Aaaah man, I felt a few tears well up when Nick sang the fart song (😅) to Honor. 😭 You guys have a great thing going there - super precious times and you are clearly a strong parenting team who can still laugh through the tough parts. So happy for you. ♥️
Such a sweet video 💞laughing and playing and joking just so wholesome and sweet.
My only child is now a freshman in highschool school 😭 during these teenage years my non negotiable self care at 33 years old has been a once a month massage alqays the nect month in the books/on the family calendar. I'm not into hair and nails, I'm sober, and don't have many vices that I would spend $ on but that monthly massage from a small business has been life changing. Literally. I lost my mom in March 2022 and I've been seeing this masseuse monthly since august/september 2021 so the process of hospice, boxing up her home, through all of it this woman has been there and i appreciate every session we have. I was on the table planning what to get her for Christmas last week. I wish every mom, woman I general, was able to gift themselves self care in any form that makes them feel like a better, stronger, happier woman. If today it's just a daily shower then Scrub a dub dub mama lol
You guys look like you came out of a movie 🥺🤧 I think everyone cried with you when Nick was singing to Honor, so precious! 🤍 Also, even though I'm not ready to have a baby I'm so curious with those stages of pregnancy and motherhood, looks challenging and beautiful!
I love how Nick had joined your vlogs. Love getting to see the two of new navigate this ‘hood together!
Have repeated that section with Nick playing and singing quite a bit now. Such a lovely, simple, sweet moment. I would totallyy listen to that song if he were to develop it, he sounds like he’s got a great voice too.
It makes me so happy seeing you and Nick parenting! It’s just so sweet. And thank you for sharing your pot sticker experience- very relatable! 😊
You are really my first inside look into newborn and pregnancy and post pregnancy. Like I actually appreciate you posting about this time in your life as its really interesting to see a modern parent. Really youre the first time ive been interested in learning the ins and outs of early parenthood. So thankyou, its quite educational
I love the intimacy that you shared (now and over the years). excited to hear more about all that you're learning with motherhood~~ xx
The way I cried when Nick played guitar. The love your family has for each other is beautiful.
🥹 this made me so nostalgic for when my first son was born. I am so glad to see y’all really drinking in this new season of life together. What a sweet family 🥰🥰
Your family is just soo sweet. She is just everything!
parenthood looks soooo good on u guys 😭🤍 the part where nick played guitar i IMMEDIATELY teared up. my dad used to do that to me when i was a kiddo and honestly seeing it as an adult, i can’t wait to have that with my family 🥺✨🤍 so happy for u both!
I'm loving watching these videos because my baby is also 7 wks old and its fun to watch others going thru the same thing, the daily ins and outs and feelings and emotions. Thank you for sharing such raw footage. Best of luck to y'all with your beautiful baby
You look beautiful. Your video was great. Almost made me cry and laugh it was just a fun video. What a team you guys make, Nick really seems like he’s enjoying himself. Damn girl I felt like hugging you’ll with like a group hug and just one little pinch on your daughters awfully cute cheeks. Enjoy every moment it’s so precious and goes by way too fast.
I appreciate you not shaming anyone else's body, even though YOU look fantastic! So happy to hear that you're content with it, too
Julia, thank you so much for sharing your journey post-pregnancy. Your channel has been a huge influence for me as I've learned to overcome disordered eating and trust my body to know what it needs, and seeing you go through pregnancy makes me realize I, too, will be able to have a kid and trust my body and everything will be okay. Your daughter is so precious and your home is full of love and light. I'm so happy for you.
Omg literal tears at work when you say I just love her so much🥹🥹🥹🥹 you are the sweetest mom. She is so lucky
Hi, Julia. I cried too, when Nick was singing to Honor. So beautiful.
I just have to say that you look absolutely amazing, and I don't think we have ever seen you happier. Enjoy your time together with your daughter!
I was almost T-boned by a vehicle this morning on my way to work. I was so shaken up and crying so hard, I had to go home. After I had calmed down, I wanted to watch something to calm my nerves a bit more and honestly, thank god this was posted when it was, it couldn’t have been better timing. Seeing such beautiful moments like this makes you appreciate life a lot more, especially when mine could have been taken away from me so easily this morning.
I really do hope I get the chance to experience moments like these with my partner in the future, you just never know what life throws at you.
Congratulations Nick and Julia ❤ she is absolutely gorgeous.
So beautiful and thank you for sharing you life with your beautiful family, and showing us the overwhelming love that comes over you and any given time when you look and your new born child. I was blobbing all the time with my first child. I think the term “love hurts” came from the love you have for your child it literally hurts your heart you love them so much.
YOU ARE DOING AMAZING MOMMA❤️
You look amazing, I’m so happy you’re feeling good and enjoying this awesome part of your life! 🥰 it can be hard to have such a huge life change where literally everything changes. You’re doing so awesome with it! Also you’re little girl is tooo cute! ❤🥰
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, she’s adorable. You both are making wonderful parents. I am a new subscriber as have only recently discovered your channel, and am thoroughly enjoying watching your old ASMR massage videos, they are so relaxing, I am sure they are helping me sleep better. So happy for your new blessings. Your little baby girl is so precious 🥰wishing u all the best.
Oh Julia!! You crying thinking about how much you love Honor while Nick sings to her! My heart!!! 🥺 I have a little boy about 2 weeks older than Honor and I cry regularly about how much I love him. It’s like… the days are really really hard, but at the same time I know I’m gonna look back on these memories as the best days of my life. Like these are the ones you think about when you’re a little old lady in your rocking chair. I hope I can keep that in my mind even when I’m having a rough day. Thank you for sharing your most precious memories with us ❤️
Thank you for letting us in to see these beautiful moments. I am so happy for you both!
Also your baby girl is so cute, she really adore her pappa playing to her. Lucky kiddo to have such adoring parents.
Aww this is my favourite video! She is so cute. Love seeing you both as parents.
Hey congrats! Thanks for sharing your journey with your baby girl.
I started crying when you did hearing nicks song. That was truly beautiful and I’m so happy for you guys ❤
Omg nick's voice is amazing! And u guys are so cute! Love how happy you all are!
Why did the guitar moment make me tear up??🥲 So happy for your little family!
Wow Julia! You look amazing and you and Nick are wonderful parents. Beautiful family.
Crying and laughing and loving everything about this video! You're doing great 💖
You guys are such great parents! My eyes leaked when Nick played and sang to Honor. ♥️
For potstickers, I don't follow the instructions exactly. I first heat them in oil for a couple minutes then add the tablespoons of water and cover for several minutes so they can get soft. Then I take off the lid and let the water burn away. You add more oil as needed to keep them from sticking while also giving them some crisp. Tongs tend to work better than spatulas.
I enjoy watching your videos so much. It’s aesthetically pleasing 🥰
Your body looks amazing seriously dude!!!
I'm 5 months post partum..before pregnancy I was underweight and now my body is soooo different...I'm almost the same weight I was when i gave birth haha although I barely eat! I'm tall so it doesn't look bad on me but it's...something to get used to on top of all the other changes motherhood brings hah!..getting a few outfits to feel put together deffo helps! Xxx
P.s. couldn't agree more about the shower thing...I always try to have a shower every day...I tend to bring my daughter in her bouncer chair into the bathroom if no one is around to hold her!! Xxx
This was the most beautiful video every. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I'm due at the end of next month so it's so crazy to me to see you with your daughter and realise it's going to be us in a few weeks 😭🥰 You look so happy and she's a really cute newborn 😘
Absolutely love seeing you all so incredibly happy & content 💓💓💓🇬🇧
Wow she really loves Nick playing the guitar! I could so see her being really into music. It’s very sweet
You look incredible! So nice to see you looking so happy x
You're such a sweet mother😭
I wish you and nick all the best, amazing mama🥺❤
Never this early, I wish you all the happiness you deserve in this new phase of your life.
Oh my god I just cried my eyes out. First when Nick played the guitar and then more when you cried. Maybe I was just a bit jealous and wanting to go back to when my girls were babies again. Maybe it was just relating to the overwhelming love that we have for our kids. I think you guys have become such a team and are doing an amazing job. What a lucky girl you have.
When you said "I just love her so much!"
😢😢😢
I thought that was the sweetest thing ever! I absolutely adore kids and I felt the emotion in your voice💜💚💙
Thank you for sharing about OSEA! I just ordered some different products to try including the jumbo sized body oil. Im currently 12 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child in 5 years. I have been breastfeeding non-stop from my first born, through my second pregnancy to tandem feeding a toddler and a newborn and now still feeding my 2nd child while preggo with my 3rd 🥱 shoo im tired and my skin is suffering from head to toe!! Im hoping this is the last product line I ever need to try. Also, I just wanted to say that your body is gorgeous and you look good in whatever you are wearing. The love you have for your daughter is palpable. When you cried, I cried too! You are an amazing mother and your daughter is going to have the best life. Congratulations mama!! 🤗💕
