- "50 to 1" is about a misfit group of New Mexico cowboys who find themselves on the journey of a lifetime when their crooked-footed racehorse qualifies for the Kentucky Derby. Such a great trailer! I was already excited to see #50to1the movie featuring #ChristianKane but this just makes me wish it was March already!! I don't pay theater rates to see many movies anymore but I will be there opening day for this one! Looks great!! Amazing cast and a great story!
A lotta people don't know that New Mexico is a State of Our Union much less that the worlds' richest Quarter Horse race is run at Ruidoso Downs each Labor Day. This was the track where Mine That Bird received some of his experience and where I learned to enjoy the King of Sports.

I truly would love to see this movie when it comes to my hometown, of Fresno California. From what I have seen in the preview of this movie,"50 to 1" it isn't all about horse racing it also deals with the relationships with all of those that are connected to each other, by their relationship to the horse. To me, this is a really good film to see!! I absolutely, can't wait to see this film when it comes to my town!!! As for Mr. Stoner's remark about,"horse racing, being a blood sport", thru out history horses have been raced, used in battles, delivered messages back and forth, as well as helped to transport mankind from back East to the West, as well as all over the United States, & all over the world!! Mr. Stoner, what do you think of the cat and dog shows? Where they are breed and cross breed to get a specific types, which can lead to genetic deformities? What, about the livestock shows? That deal with, cows, pigs, chicken, ducks, rabbits,geese,hogs, what do you think happens to the livestock after the show, Mr. Stoner? They, are breifly breed if at all, then quite possibly they are on someone's plate for breakfast or dinner.
Saw #50to1 in theater twice and still plan to purchase the DVD. It's a wonderful feel-good movie that's a blast to watch. The best part, of course, is watching #ChristianKane in action. But the 2nd best part is that it's a true story where the underdog actually wins for a change.

Good afternoon. In a "50 to 1" scene, a gentleman during the Pre-Derby party says: "This year we have owners from England, France, Dubai, Ireland and even from New Mexico!" (laughs). You know who opened that door?: Venezuelans Gustavo Avila (jockey), Juan Arias (trainer) and Juan Quintero (groom) when they traveled to Louisville in 1971 to win, against all odds, 97th. Kentucky Derby with Canonero II, a horse born in United States and bred in Venezuela. His owner, Pedro Baptista (RIP) couldn´t travel due to financial problems. Their performance was very similar to Mine That Bird´s one. Greetings from Venezuela.

OK, when Christian Kane left the tour for The Librarians, I cancelled my plans feeling the $2500, could be better spent else where since I was out of work. The movie has never aired in Minnesota (punishment?) so for more than a year now I'm still waiting, and I will until Spring when it's released on DVD. I love the trailers AND WILL WAIT AS LONG AS I NEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! #Kaniac ;)

LOVE "based on true story" movies!! This trailer gave me goosebumps, rooting for the "underdog" ;) looking forward to it's release :) I can see some humour too, something we can all use, every day :)
My daughter and I were there. 5 minutes before post time she went back to the betting window and put 10 to win on Mine That Bird because of Calvin Borel riding.
She won $505 and we have the pictures.
I was disappointed in how silly the movie was. I felt the people involved and the horse deserved a more dignified story presentation. The silliness between the girl Alex and Chip was unnecessary. And they weren't very kind to Bob Baffert's likeness or his personality. There was no need to have that character in the movie. And I get so tired of people that make horse movies that think that horses make horse noises constantly, whinny here, whinny there. Doesn't happen.
I would love to see this movie, or buy it and add to my movie collection.
You see, I grew up on Upper Nicola reserve, my dad Billy McLeod owned ranch hay fields. So my play mates were horses, as I was an only child. Mom had me late in her life.
So looking forward to this movie. Christian Kane is a phenomenal actor/singer and always gives his best at everything he does. I know it will be amazing!
