All of these saints were sinners who repented and turned to God.
_"I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."_ - Luke 15:7

All these saints continued to slaughter innocent people simply to force their own religious belief. That's not "righteous" that's just pure evil power.

Seems to me these so-called 'saints' were just vile people who committed atrocities but were forgiven and even venerated simply because they changed their tune and, somehow further advanced the reputation, power and reach of Christanity. While others, who do no harm, care about and help those around them, or do other good deeds but don't further advance Christianity enough or within the notice of the righ people etc, are not worthy of sainthood. Good to know. 🤔🤨

I think is important to note that salvation thru accepting that christ died for your sins can take a person to the light. That is the main message of catholics and christians. Thru looking for God we can all be better people no matter how sinful we are because he tells us and touches our hearts. Have a blessed day🙏🏻

The point of the faith is not sainthood and most Protestant denominations do not even recognize saints. Christianity has many sources which describe all the faithful as “saints.” Most canonized saints were incredible individuals who did nothing to advance Christianity but lead by example. Many of them were martyred, or suffered inconceivable privations. I myself have known at least three people whom I could call saints. One was a doctor, one a choral director, one a nursery school teacher. I would call them saints because they had a light within them which I wished to emulate. These documentaries which take a critical view of known history are great, to help us interpret reality, but they should contain some balance.

There was also St. Kevin of Glendalough (Naomh Caoimhín de Gleann Dá Loch) who pushed a woman, who was enamoured by him and kept pestering him, despite the ascetic saint wanting to be left to pray and medidate in peace, into a lake, drowning her.

The Bible defines a saint as anyone who is a believer(Christian), while the Catholic church defines a saint as someone the church deems worthy because of great things they have done, sacrifices they have made or powers they have been witnessed to possess.

The Catholic church's drip with blood. They did not have a problem with selling indulgences(permission to sin in exchange for money).

Side note: saints in the Catholic sense of the word, are a 'FICTION' created by Constantine the Great, who was Roman emperor from AD 306 to 337, in an effort to reconcile pagan and Christian belief systems. Catholic saints took on pagan demigods superpowers. Protestants refute this fiction and other pagan infusions, instituted by the Catholic religion, as very obvious and heretical departures from biblical doctrines. In the following verse saints are 'interchangeably' used as believers and / or parishioners, not a 'deceased' individual. Acts 9:32 Meanwhile, Peter traveled from place to place, and he came down to visit the believers in the town of Lydda. Catholicism is 'Not' a Christian religion, rather it is an amalgamation of paganism and Christian bits and pieces with the pomp and circumstance reminiscent of European royal processions. The Catholic religion overtly agreed to modify their doctrine to satisfy the demands of CCP.

I hope god is real just so I can say there is one worse with money than I. The creator off all but needs your money. That has always been perplexing to me and a bad joke.
