They do not have the right to request this individual’s details and indeed even as a police officer, details they can only be requested if there is reasonable suspicion an offence has been committed. This clearly isn’t the case here.
I hope the psychological burden aint too heavy for you. I know you have had to deal with all the stuff you have seen. I know a retired firefighter who suffers from ptsd. He was medically retired. I pop round two times a week & go to the shop for him.. My neighbours say im nuts as think he is a weirdo. They dont know anything about him. He told me personally that he was a retired firefighter & he has never mentioned it again.. It aint on me to tell the neighbours.. Shame is on all of them though, Not I 😊
