Just purchased "How to Set Traps and Counter Punch". Iv'e bought a bunch of boxing instructional downloads over the last two years as Ive been getting into the sport. Have to say this one is a masterpiece. It's like being the star pupil in the gym and getting all the answers right from jump. I mean the knowledge packed into this instructional is like what would be imparted to you during 45 hour long classes LOL - I'm not even remotely kidding. Even better its all on video that you can replay and replay for years to come. Of course you have to go drill now but thats just how it goes. There's literally an explanation of how to perform all the most common counters ( and some not so common ) to every punch that ever gets thrown at you. It's like a manual of how to play chess with your fists. Thank you Coach Anthony and Fast Eddie Chambers for sharing this with the world. I cant tell you how much I appreciate it.
Thank you so much for this testimonial I will be posting this on my Instagram tommorow be on the lookout @coachanthony If you use Instagram Your support is appreciated and Im veru happy you found the value in this ❤🥊👊🏽
I never get a chance to comment. As a martial artist and boxer I can honestly say your instructions are so intricate and precise. Keep doing what you're doing.
I probably know all of the counterpunching, but I don’t know man. Your passion for the sport and the way you explain, brings something extra... I’m gonna buy it, great content to have, probably learn more and pass on...
I coach myself and appreciate the quality tips here. Looking forward to trying out the one about holding the pad face down for the body shot, got a couple of good kids struggling with bringing the shot up.
I would also like to see him do a full video not just a couple of minutes but a full video on different types of bag work always always wanted to see more of Coach Anthony training the bag especially for people like meyou don't always have the ability to go to the gym so I have a bag at home
Boxing like Wilder is great if you have his freakish knockout power, his height and reach, and his athleticism. But that's 1-in-100-million levels of rarity. Point is, Wilder isn't a bad boxer, he knows damn well what he's doing and he's developed a highly effective game that's based on his attributes
@@kirklandau2826 Fury trained on how to avoid and take away Wilders ability to do anything with that right hand and he really couldn't do anything Wilder isn't horrible but he's not that good of a boxer
@@CoachAnthonyBoxing Yo Coach Anthony can we get the same type of video content strictly for Southpaws in the near future. No has it, it will ge a golden opportunity for you if make exclusive videos for us SOUTHPAWS.
See the reason to practice all techniques in the Art is to learn all escape angles without taking a step. Simple skipping and bouncing on your toes. The part where he states you can't through a full uppercut is true if your feet are planted. Plus, your not bouncing shifting your weight between both feet in a shorter stance. This open stance is basically a striking pivot before wind up in the hops. However, if you are conditioned properly you should be able to travel near the pocket shipping hips anchored shifting I to different angles sizing up your opponent IQ. Showing him how long you can skip near the pocket catching him on his heels. Basically, surprised you were there first.lolol. Gr8 video. I luv the Art.
4:10 & 6:56 u can tell eddie thinks too much, and thats perfect for boxing. hes always ready for the return shot. kinda like ppl confuse speed w timing
I workout at home a lot on my heavy bag for some years, I’ve sparred some, but I do it to stay in shape, I know you said this was for more advanced experienced boxer, but I’m sorry fam, I might buy your video, your videos are excellent plus it helps me with boxing knowledge/strategy when I watch fighters now
I counter left jabs with over hand rights. And I follow up with all my left jabs either with a right cross, or a left hook, or another jab or jabs, and I keep my feet moving around my opponent most of the time or all of the time while I'm throwing these punches.
A counter versus setting up a counter is 2 different things a great counter puncher counters counter. and that is set up by baiting a jab to bring the opponent in or just opening up
Coach Anthony, I know it is proper technique to slip to the outside of a punch but I was curious if there any positions or specific situations where you might want to slip a punch by moving to the inside. Sometimes slipping straight punches from either side to the outside feels like an extra step or extra energy. Especially because my coach wants me to push off my foot for every slip but it feels awkward to do so at times. For example it feels more natural to keep my feet planted or even step on the inside to slip a jab and counter with short uppercuts on the inside where as when I slip the jab by pushingoff my left side I find it impossible for me to close the distance or even slip properly to the outside without feeling off balance. Hope I was clear enough for u to get when I mean. Thanks for all the content. I cant believe you just give this gold out for free.! Thank you.
Coach Anthony sir could you possibly give some insight on boxing defense from a MMA stance where we can't blade our stance. Or suggestions perhaps on best dealing with punches from this kind of stance. Mostly to deal with kicks from both sides and the wrestling exchanges is why most MMA fighters tend to be open stances. Just curious on your take. Love the videos!
Been a fan of Boxing since 1971, still hit the bag myself. Boxing and Yoga are 2 things you can do all your life. Thanks for your videos I enjoy them.

Coach said dont start with this video first, learn the fundamentals or you will end up boxing like Wilder.
Against The Pope haha mmmm not quite. Unless you have his size ans body type and crazy mindset.
