Guy's cousin was in a bad place and was contemplating suicide as he thought the world would be a better place without him...Guy spent many long hours talking to him and he's in a good place now...Guy wrote this for him and others who are feeling fragile...Also he has lost a family member and a friend and band member to suicide...From which he wrote Choir which won 'Australian Song of The Year.' Guy writes about life and it all comes from his big heart. I'd suggest his live performance of Choir...also Battle Scars which he wrote in part as a tribute to Veterans. Love your analysis and your show of support for others, as always Brad. Guy writes his own lyrics and they are always brilliant. A must listen to song by Guy Sebastion is Battle Scars acoustic version home front for me this is his best song the lyrics are probably the best I've heard.
You need to watch where Guy goes to a school where the choir is singing his song "Choir" and they ask him to sing his latest song which is his latest song (this song) that he wrote. The reaction of the little children is heart breaking. Guy is one of the best writers and singers in the world.
He reached a lot of kids that day. So much need for someone, even in young people.

Try Before I Go, that really showcases what he can do vocally and emotionally too. Been following him for years now, he is a gem!
Guy and his wife Jules have also set up a foundation in Australia called The Sebastion Foundation to help young people struggling with mental health issues. Jules brother unfortunately committed suicide, so did Guys best friend who he wrote the song 'Choir' about, but Guy also found out his cousin was struggling thats why he wrote this song to let him know he's never alone.

Seriously, one of the best singer/songwriter musicians on the planet. He’s written some beautiful very profound songs and his runs are amazing. Choir was written for a musician friend who committed suicide, Battle Scars, live from his home studio, sung as a tribute to the ANZAC veterans is mind blowing, Before I go, just to name a few. Live in Australia born and raised my whole life grew up with him and his songs are anthems and j Australia on FM radio. He is a legend and I just feel so connected to him and his music because we are both Aussie and his music just speaks to me

His songs: Choir (written for a friend who took his own life) and Believer (written for his wife) have tremendous impact … he has the passion and fabulous voice to make these so powerful. Believer was written for his wife and this song was written for a relative who was struggling with mental health issues. Choir was written as a tribute to his friends who died. Guy's songs are always so meaningful.
Brad - He made his US debut during Season 3 of American Idol during the Final 3 results night.....a section of the show u like to fast forward thru. Coming up (for us on Idol Recall, during the HOUR LONG results show), Tamyra performs Star for the first time, Guy Sebastian performs, Tamyra is interviewed and it's announced that Tamyra wrote the winner song and her album was coming out, and performances Raindrops Will Fall (in original key)....when it was debuted this past week it was lowered as she had the flu.
