Nigel comes off as incredibly well spoken, likeable and professional. In one interview alone you can clearly see why he has had so much success post wrestling career. The exact kind of guy any major company would want as a commentator and an ambassador
I would say the double of Aries/Strong vs Briscoes and Nigel vs Bryan is maybe the top.....5 back to back matches on any wrestling PPV ever? I really can't think of anything else of the top of my head
Chris, you deserve a firm handshake for mentioning the Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe match. I was worried it would be missed but you didn't disappoint. If anyone has not seen it, THAT is a wrestling match as stated by Taz.
The card trick he did is the same trick he did many moons ago in Colt Cabana’s Wrestling Road Diaries, I remembered watching it and geeking out over his magic tricks . Man I love that dude
His documentary is very good & Nigel was a great in ring talent. His commentary is very good. Nigel is so likable I will support him in all his endeavors. Great job CVV on getting this conversation with Nigel Mcguinness! Thank you for being one of my weekly podcast I can’t miss.
One of my favourite interviews that you have done Chris (and that is saying something as you have delivered some fantastic ones). I truly believe that Nigel is "Awesomeness personified". Thank you again for the great content Chris.
His commentary at Forbidden Door was beautiful. When he was pretending to sleep at Bryan doing the surfboard stretch then praising the hell out of it when a woman did it in another match was magical.
To me Nigel McGuiness and Mauro Ranallo were the best commentators on NXT. Their voice and chemistry were the panicle of Black and Gold NXT. But the best will never last forever.
Fantastic interview. I never really watched much Nigel when he was wrestling, briefly caught some of the Desmond Wolfe run. But he seems like such a fascinating individual. He's endured a lot and he wears those battle scars with a smile, the sign of a life well lived. I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you.
I ❤️ Nigel's close up magic, & quite frankly imo he is like shades of Shin Lim. He is that good, and of course cannot forget how good he is on commentary as well. This man truly deserves his 💐 F A N T A S T I C interview Chris 🙏🙌👏
Saw this interview pop up, and it was instantly a stop everything and watch moment. For whatever it's worth, the number one match I want to see above any other is one last match between Nigel and Bryan. And I'll be keeping my eye out for a magic show next time I'm in LA.
Nigel McGuinness, you're a national treasure. Awesome to see you swagger out at Wembley like you owned the place, and the magic at the end of this was so brilliant.
Nigel has been a favourite of mine since he held titles in ROH and because it wasn't really available in the UK we had to wait for tapes... this is before RUclips was really a thing... That match at Unified with Danielson... Wow... I've obvs seen Nigels WWE Documentary where Bryan, Seth and Joe amongst others speak so highly of him. Last night I found Nigels documentary he made during his last run. There were tears on more than one occasion. I really hope he gets a few more matches in if he is able to. Thanks Chris 😀
Without a doubt my favourite interview / guest - only knew of Nigel mcguinness in TNA and then the commentary work but how great was he in NXT and the heel work he’s doing on collision - the crying standing ovation, everything with Christian Cage and all the calls leading back to his career - just perfect!
Thank you for interviewing my 1A/1B favourite ROH wrestler. I am so glad to have him on AEW commentary if he doesn't get back into the ring again. Although I am still hopeful that he can have one more match with Danielson. Maybe as part of a screw job. His never-ending feud with Danielson always entertains me.
Great interview, Nigel has always been one of my favourites and to see how successful he is on commentary now is all the more inspiring as I'd love to be in the same position myself one day.
love you Nigel, been a fan since myspace days, think about your matches often. The best memories of my teenage years watching the 2000s indys wrestling. that era and scene made me love wrestling again
I knew Nigel when I worked for the HWA when he was getting started in wrestling. He gave me some personal advice I've still kept with me to this day. Great guy
I was at that match in Liverpool and I'm so glad it still gets brought up. It was absolutely insane. That whole show was so hot, but the main event was wild. People forget how into ROH people were back then & this is before it went super mainstream and had household names after TNA bombed in the 2010s. TWC and Alex Shane deserve a hell of a lot of credit for bringing that show to the UK and the ROH roster from back then was sensational.
Ive always been a fan of Nigel, I sent a dm a fews back just thanking him for everything he's done for the business and he responded. After that I had even more respect, but now after hearing the term clam digger GOATED. 😂
One of my favorite all time wrestlers. ROH during the 00s was my favorite time outside of being in my pj's watchin pipers pit and Mach hitting Rickey with the ring bell
Yooo! Koko B. Ware was the first wrestler I thought about too when Nigel told Chris to think of a random wrestler! Needless to say that magic trick at the end tripped me tf out!!
The Myth The Legend himself Greatest AEW in Possibly best Commentator of All time Nigel McGuinness …. Best Interview ever by CVV Truth in the Details 🫡🙌🏾🔥Let’s get to that 💪🏿💙‼️☝🏾
I see Nigel as kind of a cross between The Brain and Larry Zbyszko on commentary. He's got the hilarious one-liners with the in-ring experience and the dry wit, and he's a pure heel. He really is fantastic. By the way, there is an excellent doc about Nigel and Bryan's rivalry here on RUclips by Joseph Montecillo. I highly recommend it.
Im so happy Nigel is doing so well. His documentary is very good but whenever I watch it feels like Nigel wasn't doing too well for a while and I was worried about him then he finally got the commentary job in wwe and I was overjoyed and relieved because Nigel finally made it to WWE, maybe it wasn't the wwe dream job of wrestler, but it was still the company he wanted to be in and a roll he was great at. Never understood his release from wwe. I was very glad AEW had a spot for him and they want to be the company that gave him a chance to make a comeback and wrestle at Wembley
Man, his magic at the end really does make you wonder about the whole deterministic talk. Like was he able to tap into what choice Chris was always gonna make? I love that wonder!

Nigel's ribs towards Brian will never get old. You can tell the respect is present in both Brian and Nigel. A feud that'll never truly be settled.
This
Nigel comes off as incredibly well spoken, likeable and professional. In one interview alone you can clearly see why he has had so much success post wrestling career. The exact kind of guy any major company would want as a commentator and an ambassador
I like his speaking voice, along with that accent 😂. (Yes, Chris, his voice is 👌sooothing....)
Best Commentator in the Business Nigel McGuinness 🫡🙌🏾‼️💪🏿🔥☝🏾
The ending broke me. I'm confused too, bloody brilliant.
That makes two of us!
That was so much fun, very entertaining a,man off many talents
That was absolutely jaw dropping. Absolutely incredibly done!
@@ChrisVanVlietdid he ever end up telling you how?! Man I love the mind boggling feeling of the How!
"You think you have a free choice but you actually don't."
Spoken like a great card magician.
That magic OMG, he made a combo finisher with that number, pad, tshirt reveal.
My brain hurt so bad, in the best possible way. I love that I know so little about magic tricks. This made my day
Nigel’s match with Danielson at unified 06 is my favorite match of his, give it a watch absolutely beautiful match
ROH was the greatest.
That’s what I care about 🔥💯🙌🏾‼️💪🏿

Thank you sir! 🤝
the magic at the end was INSANE omg i cant even begin decipher how he managed to do all of that
Who’s here after he made his in ring return at all in?
This is actually unreal, what an awesome dude Nigel McGuinness is .
I saw Nigel McGuinness in Memphis do a magic show, it was a small crowd but the show was awesome! Cooper says hi Nigel!
We remember you! We say hello! Thank you for coming and supporting that magical evening in Memphis ❤
Nigel is an absolute legend and gentleman. Thanks for the interview, Chris! Love your stuff
That Wembley pop for Nigel was earth shattering and felt so special, sitting with that crowd, was a really cool experience.
Yeah, was awesome being there for that pop. The guy earned it.
Nigel constantly digging into Danielson on AEW Collision is hilarious! 🤣
What's wrong with digging the Clamdigger himself 😆
Yo the magic at the end of the episode is amazing!
Nigel is that dude. One of my favorite chats on this channel for sure
Nigel is a Wrestling Legend that casual (WWE) fans don’t know about. His matches against Bryan were epic
The card trick he did is the same trick he did many moons ago in Colt Cabana’s Wrestling Road Diaries, I remembered watching it and geeking out over his magic tricks . Man I love that dude
That magic stuff Nigel did is wild
I loved Nigel commentary in NXT & NXT UK and I'm loving his commentary in AEW
His documentary is very good & Nigel was a great in ring talent. His commentary is very good. Nigel is so likable I will support him in all his endeavors. Great job CVV on getting this conversation with Nigel Mcguinness! Thank you for being one of my weekly podcast I can’t miss.
Absolutely fantastic interview, could listen to Nigel forever, he's such a smart, interesting, well spoken guy. Another great interview Chris!
One of the goats. No surprise that he is as good at magic as he was at wrestling, and is on commentary.
Nigel McGuinness and Christian Cage is a GOATED commentator-wrestler combo! 🐐🐐
One of my favourite interviews that you have done Chris (and that is saying something as you have delivered some fantastic ones).
I truly believe that Nigel is "Awesomeness personified".
Thank you again for the great content Chris.
Greatest wrestling commentator for me.
That was legitimately one of the coolest magic tricks I've seen. Layers upon layers man damn
Nigel is the only commentator in AEW I like and enjoy hearing from. He is a treasure to that company.
He's leaps and bounds better than Sockface.
I fucks w Excalibur
Let talk abt that 🫡‼️🙌🏾💙💯🔥

Great interview, Nigel has always been one of my favourites and to see how successful he is on commentary now is all the more inspiring as I'd love to be in the same position myself one day.
Fantastic interview with the best commentator working today and awesome magic.
Three things I'm grateful for : Chris, Van, Vliet. Thanks for the picture in Cleveland!
Definitely love Nigel's voice. I agree, Chris!
love you Nigel, been a fan since myspace days, think about your matches often. The best memories of my teenage years watching the 2000s indys wrestling. that era and scene made me love wrestling again
The MAGIC at the end!!! 😱😱😱👏👏👏
I got to meet Nigel at an AEW Collision show last year. He's a very kind and soft spoken man.
That was sensational
This was such a great interview!
I love these Chris interviews with the pro wrestlers 😊. Chris is the bomb.... I'm sure he knows that lol.

My gosh, Nigel belongs on commentary. He's got one of the best voices ever
Superb interview as always Chris 👌 Nigel is true great 👍
This man is an absolute charisma machine. Idk what it is about him but he's so wise and magnetic.
Nigel just took it too a new level of awesome!
I can’t wait for the second interview in a year or so!

The fact that he returned after this interview is wild
Dude, that Koko B. Ware trick was INSANE!!!!
Yooo! Koko B. Ware was the first wrestler I thought about too when Nigel told Chris to think of a random wrestler! Needless to say that magic trick at the end tripped me tf out!!
