i dont understand how you decide which axes should be primary, secondary and secondary world orientation. Could you please explain further? I´ve been following your series for a while and i always encounter this problem
It doesn't really matter which one you choose, the key is consistency. When the animator selects all the fingers and rotates them around an axis they should all go in the same direction. Here he points Y to the next bone in the chain but I've seen many people choose X instead, as long as it's consistent it will be okay :)
@@w.a.l.l.a.c.e. what about the positive and negative values he was talking about when orienting spine fingers legs. Do rotation value really needed to be in positive numbers when curling in?
@@robinnegi2671 It depends what makes sense to you but still the consistency is key, when I personally would animate closing a fist for example I'd try bringing the values for the finger rotation up first but if you want it to be negatives then that's fine as long as it's all consistent

Your channel is the most helpful for 3d learning (especially for those of us specializing on characters). Thank you so much for this series!

i love how you casually drop a bullshit during the tutorial 😂
I am not getting it well with Joints orientation, can anyone recommend resources that I can consult to get it clear? Thanks
Where is the first episode?
that totally don't work......
I follow the tuto step by step but when I orient the joints, that's don't do the same thing than you
