I learned more from your videos than from my 3D courses at school, I know is not that much but it’s what i can afford to send you. Thankful to found your channel!
wow... dude you are outstanding. makes me feel selfish. i should donate too. i agree, he is teaching excellent rigging skills. i worked in animation and his stuff is excellent.
I found this series at the perfect time when I was struggling with the rig on a personal project. Can't wait to jump in to the rest of the videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
My pleasure! These Maya videos were probably some of my most arduous to get done, so I’m happy that there are some people like you out there who find them useful!
Awesome tutorial! I just would like to point out, if you didn't know, you can change the joint size globally by going to Display > Animation > Joint Size. Brings a popup menu with a slider. Keep up the awesome work
If you want to select a whole chain to chnage the radius or whatever, type: select -hi- ENTER in the small MEL window on the bottom left and it will select the entire hierarchy and then you can edit everything
Projected centre is broken... on my main PC Maya 2024 does not snap, on my laptop it does, none of the people asking on the autodesk forms get straight answers hopefully it gets fixed (probably wont) great tutorial!
This series would have been solid, but it ended very abruptly with a lot left to be done. I feel like I wasted a lot of time on the rig I made when I probably could have made a faster, simpler, and more effective rig. There's some good stuff to be learned from this tutorial, but it's unfinished and walked into it thinking it would have been a complete guide :/
Buddy you are awesome techer I love to watch your Evey video it's quite interesting to watch but didn't get time. One day in loops I am sure . By the way I am a Teacher 😅

Yeah I’m aware :). But as you will see in future videos, particularly with the spine, it’s good to have custom sized joints :)
MAN U DESERVE MORE SUBSCRIBERS, I'VE BEEN LEARNING TO RIG MODELS AND THIS SERIES IS THE BEST!!
Share to whoever you think would love this stuff :)
Thank you for this specific method, it works around Maya 2024's projected center bug!
Dikko, you are a legend!

That was the plan but then I had a baby, and never had time to dedicate to the last few vids.
@@Dikko Ultimately, I appreciate the series and the time you put into teaching it. Congrats on the baby.

Maya 2024 , Projected centering not working at all
Having the same problem. I guess it's a bug
I found that using the middle of the gizmo to move the joint around, instead of the arrows made it work
