Hello Dikko. Fantastic walkthrough you've put out there. Learning a lot from it 😎 I have a question though... What is the difference between using the Connection Editor vs applying constraints? 🤔 Thanks in advance 😁
The connection editor is more limited in that 1) you need transform properties on the driving attributes to affect the connected object. 2) it’s harder to create a connection with offset values. That’s where constraints come in. With constraints, you can drive the rotation of something in the direction of the controller, without making sure that everything is perfectly lined up. Constraints if used incorrectly can get really messy very fast, so it’s important to understand when it’s best to use them
My uni Students are being taught in Maya so I needed to Produce some refreshed content on the topic. Will be back to Blender content as soon as this series is done
@@Dikko I have been using Maya since version 4.5 on Irix and Window...now I switch to Blender...because the trend and development for the mass is bigger than what industry standard aims for...I hope Autodesk will listen to the users more..

Really awesome series and has been helping me so much when it comes to rigging for a project deadline, much appreciated.

@@dodeedada I agree! I wouldn't normally touch on Maya again if it weren't for the need for me to teach it and create some up to date resources.
