As castanhas não se dão bem no Brasil pois em geral o clima não lhes é favorável. A castanha exige um clima mediterrânico. Mas talvez em partes dos estados lá bem do sul do Brasil tais como Rio Grande do Sul ou Santa Catarina... haja um clima parecido! Mas experimente plantar umas castanhas num vasos pois, protegidas, germinam e crescem facilmente. Devem aparecer castanhas à venda no Brasil vindas de Portugal ou de Itália por altura do São Martinho ou do Natal.
