      @@travishorton8290 No. Take it from someone who lives in a country with high tax rates and better public services, it's much better this way. The average level of happiness is much higher, than in the US. Building a nation on the principle of economic self-interest is inevitably going to create much more misery. Care about people other than yourself. Tax is only theft if you don't want your money to help the most disadvantaged in society - you have to actually be a nice person first, who is happier with a higher average level of happiness in the whole society, rather than having a bit of extra money to spend on yourself.

      @@hophumberstone socialist nonsense. I don't know where you are from, but please stay there with your government-taught value system.
      What if I don't use any public services except roads and insignificant stuff like that? Why should I have to pay for others when nobody pays for me? That is if you are dumb enough to actually believe that your stolen tax money actually goes to "help people" rather than lining politician's and corporation's pockets. It's theft because one cannot choose to opt out. It's theft because if you do not pay, they throw you in prison. Taxation is theft.

    Also our little country of Germany has free healthcare for everyone.
    It's just simple morals:
    If people get sick and cannot afford treatment, I don't want them to die miserably in a gutter.
    We also basically have free school- and university-access. If your you are capable of getting a degree but your parents cannot pay for it, why should your carreer be ruined? Why should someone less qualified get the degree, only because he has rich parents? This is bad for the individuals AND bad for the companies.
    These are just things that everyone needs to have access to, so funding them with tax-money improves the country as a whole.

      Germany doesn't have free healthcare for everyone. It has universal healthcare with public and private options, and is almost as flawed as the US system.

    • @DevineAbyss
      @DevineAbyss 2 года назад

      @@derfriede That's not really an accurate statement.
      Everyone in Germany has the right to fall under universal healthcare.
      1. If you work, you pay a percentage of your income. If you receive low wages, you will still be fully covered by healthcare.
      2. If you don't have work, you will receive financial support from the government. This financial support will also pay for health insurance and you will be fully covered.
      3. If you are studying at university and below 25/27 years old, you will be insured for free over your parents and be fully covered.
      It is really hard to not be covered by health care in Germany, no matter your personal circumstances. If you fill out your forms, you are golden.
      You are however right, that it is possible to opt for a private health care plan. This is however fully optional and sadly currently only serves to give cheaper rates and more benefits for the wealthy.
      Still, pretty much noone in Germany is without health care, no matter the income or circumstances. Every normal/important procedure is covered, noone will quickly go into debt because of health issues. Our system is far superior to the shitshow that is the USA, where hospital costs worth 10.000$+ or even 100.000$+ will not be covered and put people into financial ruin. We don't have children, that cannot get a life-saving procedure, because they familiy doesn't have the money. That shit doesn't happen here.
      Since 2009 every German citizen is obligated to have health care insurance. It is not optional and more than 99% are insured.

    • @derfriede
      @derfriede 2 года назад +2

      @@DevineAbyss i personally know people who were without healthcare. And because i moved to Germany (ie my parents didn't work in Germany) despite being under 25 at the time, i had to pay for a cheaper private insurance because i couldn't afford the more expensive public option until I got a job. And I didn't qualify for help because I was both a citizen, and my parents hadn't paid into the system. On top of that German bureaucracy serves to gatekeep social services. A friend of mine would qualify for ALG I, but hasn't gotten it yet because he has panic attacks thinking of going to the Arbeitsamt. And because he didn't go there until a couple of friends helped him, he didn't have insurance for much of the corona pandemic.
      I do agree that more people are cover, but liberalisations of the healthcare system here has also lead to major issues in terms of getting the treatment you need. The ERs at most hospitals have a huge staffing issue. Nurses are underpaid. Care is rationed based on if you have an extra private insurance, or just the standard public insurance. Even things like dental care, which is just as important as medical, especially for general health issues, are woefully covered without a zusatzversicherung. Painting it as free healthcare is just not the entire truth. And the system is being undermine with each year with every new liberalisation.

    • @DevineAbyss
      @DevineAbyss 2 года назад

      @@derfriede Well yeah, that makes you a special case since young adults are usually covered by their parents, but your parents werent "normal" German citizens. If they had the mendatory public insurance, you would have been covered.
      Furtheremore: if you want to receive money, contracts and benefits... you obviously have to go to the place and receive them. You usually only have to do that once and maybe hand in some follow up papers once a year. That's really not too much to ask. If your friend cannot even do the most mundane and nessesary tasks, he should maybe apply for psychological aid. That is hardly a problem with the system.
      Staffing issues do exist. The tries to create a union for nursing staff failed (partially because of the nursing staff though). I agree with you that privatization of basic infrastructure is a very very bad idea. The German system only works because doctors/hospitals have to arrange their fees in discussion with the insurance companies. This keeps prices lower. You don't really want private insurances, private transportations, private doctors in private hospitals with private tools all earn high profits, payed my sick and poor individuals with no alternative. This stuff needs government oversight.
      Of course the German system can be improved upon. I would especially like the private sector to be closed so even that the wealthy have to pay into the public institutions aswell. But it is working pretty well in general (nurse wages and amounts aside) and usually almost noone will die from curable desease for monetary issues or be plunged into debt. And since the government has the last word, if the nurse situation deterioates any further, they have to act anyway. The German system really is orders of magnitude better than the American system. It is not even comparable.

Elderlies are having certain stains on their buts and get packaged socalled food you would not feed rats, while these taxes are also wasted on socalled migrants and tax-snatching politicians. It has always been implanted in the minds of the danes that taxes are for the greater good and welfare. What welfare we have is due to prosparity from capitalism. Politicians being socialistic wants a limit on how much companymanagers are allowed to earn, lessening the welfare of the working class, just due to envy of the managers being skillful. I wonder where those taxes the managers would earn beyond the limit you by law end. Yep, in the pockets of the politicians.
