This is the DMP Car Design 12.3” Android Radio Screen Upgrade for Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, and Porsche models. The display is offered in both 10.25” and 12.3” and includes a wide array of new features which integrate into the car as well as a newer generation feel to the interior of the vehicle. The screen is made with the intention of keeping the interior of the vehicle as OEM as possible for a seamless integration which keeps a similar design as the rest of the vehicle and does not look out of place.

I had Audio Dezign in Middletown RI. Install the 12.3 on my 2012 W218 CLS550 after the OEM screen went kaput. Everything works well but it doesnt come with detailed instructions, so I recommend having a Pro do the install. All in it was $500 cheaper than a remanufactured command screen.
What about the 360 degree cameras. Does that only work in NTG mode or does it also work in the Android side?

Hi Josh, you can only change the boot up logo animation, check out our video on how to do that! Showing when the doors are open/closed are not yet available
After watching lots of videos on Android installs I trusted you and went with DMP Car Design 12.5 screen and Ambient light on my 2011 Mercedes CLS AMG.
I have to say I have never in all my experience dealt with a company that is so customer orientated and willing to help. I had about 20 emails and a couple of whatsapp calls and they fixed my issues. Nearly all was my mistake....eg not connecting the audio cable which I thought did not need to be done. This was done with about 8 hours time difference too as I am in Ireland.
I just wanted to say this as these guys, and you, seem to be really good guys......Tomas and Wendy from DMP Car Design and their installer who was on the phone to me during his own install....................and good guys need breaks too

@@k.haynes231 I still have the car and Android unit and it is still working 100%. There is lots now available on Banggood etc but I would not trust those especially as it is not a cheap item. With a proper store that actually installes them too you have very good backup AND advice if needed.
I've had this in my c300 for a couple of year it use to show my temp settings but I had to factor reset and can figure out how to reconnect to the app

Hi great video really clear im from the uk and just bought a 2016 cla with that head unit it connects to my phone both on apple carplay and from the normal screen but no sound comes throw when I connect throw the original car bt it works fine with sound ? Hopping u can help thank you .

Hi, do you have any speackers problems? When i call with android screen bluetooth, only left speacker working, you have that ? And when i call with Mercedes bluetooth, only right speacker work… but when i listen the music all speackers work… do you have any solutions? 😅

Hey, buddy! I'm facing an issue when using Android Auto. When I receive a call then a blue call screen appears when being in a call. So I can't use Google Maps while talking. Any thoughts? 😁
On a 2016 GLA 250, will all the steering controls work when using the new screen, like pickup/Hangup a call, volume, mute.

I have a 2014 E550 4matic Sedan! Is anyone having a connection problem with phone calls on the DMP Android 11? When someone calls me or I call them they say they cant hear me? It don't happen all the time, but it does happen and they have to call me back, or I call them then it's clear? Is there a setting on my iPhone 12 max pro or a setting on the Android 11 that will fix it? I had the front camera put on my Benz and when I put it in drive and the camera was scrolling but there was a setting to fix it so Im wandering could this also be a setting for the phone calls?

I installed a similar device on my Mercedes-Benz x350d power. I bought it last year, I think it's the same product but with an older software version. Unfortunately when I changed the display, my FM and DAB receiver no longer worked, while still assuring me from the seller that it was perfectly compatible with my NTG 5.0. I've been without a radio in the car for a year. I'm thinking of going back to the old original system. Did you have the same problem?
Would it be possible to talk to the manufacturer to see if it is possible to update my device and whether to run my FM/DAB radio?
Hello, the first step would be identifying who the manufacturer is of your screen and getting into contact with them. Our DMP screens do not cause any FM or DAB receiver issues and I've never personally experienced any such issues through the use of the screen. I would look through your old purchase invoice and find out where your screen came from and then go from there.
Drone lab, did you try to use other NTG? Maybe you´ve got the wrong setup. In my first standard-setup, the original screen didnt work properly. I took another NTG-setup, and it worked...

Yes. Sound will play through original speakers and all OEM functions will still work

Does the Navigation on the main screen (whether it opens google maps or waze) need connection to my phone to work ?
It will require an internet connection. That could come from your phones hotspot, a SIM card, or another WiFi network.
Who can do installation in the west coast (Los Angeles) ?
Also on your video I can see you have Wi-Fi connection doing the driving the car how possible is to have all the time Internet connection mine show you off online even if I connect to my iPhone with my hotspot can you tell me how to do it thank you very much
If you connect your screen to your phones hotspot, you will have internet access as long as your phone is in the same proximity as your radio.
Hey my NTG menu doe not display when i press it but when i put it in reverse it works. Is there a fix for that ?
You need to access the factory settings to change your NTG mode. This should solve the issue.
The backup camera shows no video...we need the factory code to change the input. Can you tell me that code or tell me where to get it?

Does the 12.3 screen overlaps the RPM gauge?? I’m trying to decide if I should go with the 12’ or the 10’ screen.

There is no way to change the resolution of the screen. The resolution is an HD 1080p display.

Using the internet will require an internet connection. You will either need a SIM card, hotspot connection, or wifi connection. I suggest connecting your phone via Bluetooth and playing internet radio through the phone to avoid having to connect your screen to the internet.
My 2014 Mercedes-Benz C350 does not come with a reverse Camera. Is there an add on camera that will work with the Android screen in this kind of scenerio?
Yes this will support a aftermarket camera
Hi, I have this screen with android 11 installed and I’m getting a 3 second delay via the apple CarPlay. This applies to when changing songs and calls. Have you experienced this? Thanks in advance.

I just got it. it's great but why does it have that side screen when you go to the Mercedes-Benz screen
The original NTG screen only displays in the size it was originally designed for (the OEM screen size), so the Android screen will automatically fill in the space which is not used.
Can you do split screen with navigation and an OEM NTG function?
No. The OEM NTG function cannot be split screened.
Does it need an internet connection for google maps on the road ?
Yes you will need to connect to the internet. This is done either by a wifi hot spot on your phone or through another wifi source. You can also use maps without an internet connection through Apple Car Play.
Hello, I have the 12.3 in display in which I love. The only problem is that I can’t get back to my OEM display or use my OEM cameras. Is there anyway someone can help me with this issue?
You need to access the factory settings to change your NTG mode. This should solve the issue.

Yes you are able to turn the screen black while listening to radio. However, if you adjust the volume then the screen will turn on again.

Do you need to be connected to the internet to use google maps?
Hi Matt, you will need an internet connection to use Google maps on the android screen. However, you can use Apple Car Play/Android Auto to mirror your phones GPS navigation onto the android screen. This does not require your android screen to have an internet connection and it works very nicely for navigation.
You can upgrade the android version on the screen?
Yes you can. You'll need an upgrade file to upload to your screen via USB drive. We can provide this file to you. We'll also be releasing a new video showing the android 11 features. Thanks!

hello, I already installed an android on my s204, (10.5) , but I have a problem, when the car dashboard lights or I start the car engine, there is a background noise in the speakers in AUX mode .. . .. very unpleasant.... but when I turn off the AUX mode, everything is ok. Hi Fabio, check the connection between the aux cord and your system to make sure everything is solid. The fact that all other systems seem to function properly it points toward an issue with the actual auxiliary cord. If all connections are solid you might want to get a new aux cord entirely.

Nope 9/10. They are very good, not lag at all
Any content streamed through the Android unit is perfectly synced and will not experience any audio lag. However, playing a video from your phone via Bluetooth does have an audio lag.

If you are playing audio with video via Bluetooth from your phone, there will be a slight audio lag. But not if you play video audio direct from the screen.
How do I change the music app to whatever music app I use ?

When someone call me, It go to the Android microphone or the car microphone ?
The OEM car microphone will be used. You can also switch the audio input/output to prioritize your phone while you talk.
There is a 3 second audio lag when fitted, is there a way to remove this?

My rotary knob stopped working in NTG menu. It still works on Android and on native GPS. Does anyone know the solution?
I recommend to first do a reset to the stereo. See if that helps.

@@joaoeduardo14 there are two holes on the left side of the screen. The top hole is the reset button. Enter a pin for a few seconds to reset it.

I have a convertible, can this be seen in the sun when the top is down?
There is a screen brightness adjustment setting. In my experience, I can still see the screen through direct sunlight.
