Both LA Fitness and 24 hour fitness have the same trans gender ID policy. WE need to cancel at those places also.

I walked into Planet Wokeness to cancel my membership. I was notified that I had to jump through hoops to cancel. So, I asked if my membership would be cancelled if I walked into the locker room and took a video. The answer was yes. So, I took my phone into the locker room and took a video. I showed the video to the staff. My membership was immediately cancelled. That was easy.

I worked there 10 years, after I left, 3 great managers were fired. Not sure if all 3, but I do know one was fired for “ transphobia “! She was not at all. She did sue and win! 👏! PF was a great place to work til all this. I would not go there now, I wouldn’t just take a picture if I saw a man in the girls locker and showers. These idiots want to be women …. I wanted to get my kids swimming lessons at the YMCA here in FLORIDA of all places. I heard some things about the Y's national policies and called to ask. I spoke to a manager who was very nice but told me that members were free to use whichever restroom/locker room that corresponds to the "gender they identify with". I thanked her and told her that I am a Christian and want to protect my kids from predators and perverts, so I'll pass.

Boycotts are great ways to tell companies that we don't approve but I'm a bit uncomfortable with the idea that people should be ashamed if they don't participate. There are, of course, more dramatic ways of protesting, beyond just stopping your support of a company that you never gave money to anyway..... perhaps people could organize some nude marches. If they can go naked in women's spaces then we can all go naked anywhere we want!

Same here! In my 50’s now, sometimes I have to use the locker room at the gym, I wouldn’t feel comfortable in there in front of strange men. I know the majority of the ladies at my gym wouldn’t either. Many are also senior citizens, our generations never had to put up with this crap in the past. Give the trans their own room, keep them out of the ladies room, don’t we have rights also?!
It angers me that the comfort and feelings of a few "transgender women" matter more than the comfort and feelings of all the biological women/girls for which this space was designated.

I had a membership with them for 3 days. On the 3rd day I was in the locker room, looking for a scale. Couldn't find one, so I went out on the floor to see if it was maybe around a corner or something... nothing. Went back in the locker room and an employee was cleaning the sink counter, and I asked where it was since I couldn't find it. He said, "YYYYEEEEAAaaahhh we don't have scales in the gym because some members can find them intimidating, SOOOOOooooo...."
I said, "I see." And walked to the front counter and canceled my membership. When they asked why, I said "Because I made a mistake and thought this was a gym."
this doesnt compare. not having a scale isnt a reason thats an excuse the world is full of scales. this story isnt a snappy gotcha. men in a womens locker room is a reason.

My daughter actually had her friend video a guy who would follow females into the ladies bathroom and then followed my daughter in. Her friend videoed him getting undressed and moving his hips to make his penis swing. They showed the video to the lady working the counter and the lady threatened to have them arrested for illegal videoing inside the ladies bathroom. My daughter and her friend cancelled their membership right then. One month later both got charged on their credit cards for another month. They called the credit card companies and had them stop payment to PF. PF then sent them nasty letters and claimed they turned them over to a collection agency. Luckily, her friends Uncle is a Lawyer specializing in business law. PF finally decided not to fight it, but it hit my daughter and her friends credit score hard.
This made me sad. I am 77 and I wish my junk would swing. I haven't seen it since January, when I mistook it for a second naval.
Sue them for damages for credit score lowered impact .

when did we all forget two wrongs dont make a right? they didnt have to have a credit hit. they could easily have cancelled, made their feelings known and left. if they had taken the simple step of cancelling it they could have disputed this kind of thing and it cant stick. it stuck bc they ran away.
pf didnt have to "fight" anything. its your credit not theirs. you agree to pay a bill and if you decide not to no "uncle" can change that. if they won something legally there would be no trace on their credit scores.
just bc someone else does something wrong doesnt alleviate you of your own responsibilities. be an example. go about all this right and you are righteous. do things wrong and you are just as bad.
You got to dispute it with the credit companies too. They are legally required to remove it within 30 days after notification.

I went in the bathroom at my Planet Fitness in Oceanside California and there was a guy in there standing naked on top of counter top taking pictures of himself in the mirror . I told the management but nobody went in there to check out the situation and deal with it .

PF lied about my cancellation! I cancelled this past weekend and the girl processing this refused to put the reason why. She made a series of clicks with her mouse, I electronically signed the cancellation, and peacefully walked out. I called customer service when I got to the car to report the reason and learned that the the girl put a note on my account that I accosted her, calling her f*ing stupid and aggressively demanded a change in their policy. That never happened. She had to have went back into my account to write this note as she NEVER typed anything in front of me. I asked for contact information to make a complaint. Planet Fitness gave me a non-working email.
They are the WORST

Hubby and I cancelled our membership as soon as the desk staff confirmed they allow men in the women's locker room. I'd feel safer going into the men's locker room, at least my husband would be there to protect me. 🤦

Yeah but it's really cheap & people love cheap. A lot of poor & lower middle class love Planet Fitness because... End of the day, they're not training for the ideal physique. They just want some exercise or the doctor told them to go to the gym. I mean, there's in-shape people there too though. The cardio machines are garbage but they get the job done. I felt depressed going there but it seemed like no one cared about that stupid alarm & you get a modern, clean, & maintained shower & locker room. It's just hard to beat for that price & I think most locations don't deal with this insane ideology & no one really cares or listen to what PF the corporation even stands for. Heck, most gyms don't even enforce the stupid alarm rules.

Hey, there is a great planet fitness in Red deer Alberta Canada that is not affiliated with them in any way, they are in fact in a name copyright lawsuit with the big corporation.
I cancelled my membership after the alaska story came out. They asked what they could do to keep my business and I said, ‘provide a safe space for biological women who do not have to run the risk of being subjected to a penis without their consent.’
They told me they would cancel my membership and that they hope I’m able to ‘get on board’ with things…🙄

My son works at a PF here in the deep south and he said that even we aren't immune to the men-in-women's-bathroom Issue. His boss is frustrated because his hands are tied and they have been instructed not to engage with customers who ask questions or complain about the trans policy. My son has started carrying his Bible and keeping it open at the front desk while he works because he identifies as a devoted Christian. He's happy to get fired at this point and is already looking for another job but other than his large Bible sparking good conversation with customers, management hasn't said anything to him about it.
i live in Georgia and my PF has the signs that allow you to use whatever room you want are here. I have never seen any monkey business, but will take no chance. the problem is finding a gym without that "open" policy

Our company is nationwide, we as employees are asking the company we work for to cancel everything that has to do with planet fitness. We are requesting independent gyms and reimbursement when we go…the process has started for us to sever ties

I cancelled my membership yesterday even though it was the least expensive place to continue my physical rehab. Just like I boycotted Target for the same reason, it's the right thing to do. Lets go back to local mom & pop stores.

My husband and I canceled our memberships last week.
My wife and I joined Planet $hitne$$ for 2 years She had a Male Janitor that was walking in on her & other people and Planetfitness did nothing. They let Criminals that got out of jail and homeless people join & use the planet fitness address as their residence. Worst Gym ever. I personally use to belong to Holiday Spa which became Bally's who then became LA Fitness. I also worked out at a Small Gym on the 70s also Gold's Gym Worlds Gym then where we moved. Had to Join Power House which was a longer trip after Planet Fitness did nothing for my wife. They changed to Pure Fitness. During COVID We just built our own home Gym. I have a story about the lunk alarm! I was a member a long time ago and when I was brand new to the gym, maybe my first week, I was doing circuit training and I was doing the step part of the circuit when the lunk alarm went off. I didn't hear any major grunting or weights dropping or anything like that but I certainly heard the alarm. It startled me so bad that I fell off the step and twisted my ankle really bad.

This could be so easily fixed: 3 bathrooms: Male, Female, Sexually Confused ( then all the trans/whatever they identify as that day) can all hang out together. Problem solved.

I’ve been saying for three years now that something is wrong here. PF lets high school kids to come in for free. While this seems like a good thing on the surface keep in mind these minors are able to use the locker rooms. I’m a middle aged man and to be completely honest with you it scares the absolute hell out of me that I could be in the MENS locker room changing from my work clothes to my workout clothes and a 14 year old boy could come around the corner and now I’m catching a charge because he saw me in a locker room changing.
That scares me to death. The ymca has separate boys, girls, ladies, men’s and family locker rooms and they will not allow minors in the men’s or adults into the kids.
Also as a father what about the predators that want to expose themselves to minors. Why wouldn’t they just wait in the planet fitness locker rooms waiting for kids to come in? I would not let my kids go in there alone.
I cannot for the life of me understand how it is at all acceptable for this to occur.

Before Covid, my husband was kicked out of Planet Fitness when he questioned the safety of women and girls when they were changing in locker rooms with men.

A few years ago I was looking for a gym to join and checked out a Planet Fitness near me. I made an about face as soon as I saw signs that they serve free donuts every morning and had Pizza Fridays. What a joke.

My city in Canada has a independent planet fitness, no affiliation at all with the corporate one in this video and the owner of my gym is pretty old school , non woke and constantly bemoans the state of the large corporate gyms in the country, he has spoken about his rivals( corporate planet fitness) and the junk food they push.
