I'm a coaster enthusiast but I would prefer to ride it down instead of walking down all the way from the top using stairs. Not to mention getting onto those stairs to begin with when stopping on the lift hill. I love coasters but I don't like stairs
Apparently it did, if the block section was clear. The brakes on the coaster uses air brakes. Meaning if they lose power then they lock up. Maybe there is not enough power or a fuse blew. Who knows, and you certainly don’t know.
@@thelis4uNow if there is no train at the mid-brake run and it stops. Then something is wrong especially if the next block section is clear. The train at the lift hill stopped because a train was at the top of the hill, you really need to watch the video and read what I wrote
This story is Good news. I work in the amuesment industry. The Roller Coaster did exactly what it is programmed to do. Nothing bad to report here. it's just like anyones smart car if the sensors since a problem with the engine the car will address you and tell you that it needs maintenance modern coasters are designed the exact same way as your car.
I have ridden SheiKra many times in the front seat and the few seconds where you are hanging over the edge looking straight down is thrilling but over quickly. I can't imagine having to climb out of the seat to escape at that height!
I mean to be fair it is kind of daring.. it's a trained procedure but how often do they actually have to perform the procedure and how often do the workers have to go up that high for that long to rescue.. I get it seems a little over the top but it's not a everyday occurrence to have to do that, and it surely isn't very often people are having to be rescued at bush gardens.
0:45 “and the daring rescue” As a coaster enthusiast this makes me cringe so hard. Breakdowns can happen at any moment, and any time it happens the riders are in no harm. Riders are evacuated safely down the catwalk and into the hands of ride ops, maintenance technicians, and park security. It’s just funny how they describe it as some rare occasion.
why do you think it stopped near a staircase that is used for workers to climb up and escort people down. it didnt get stuck in a random section of the ride where theres no way down. its designed to stop there if need be in order for people to be able to get off. this is a safety measure, news anchors constantly scare people on purpose and its so annoying.
It stops for safety measures I was there when I happened I watched it stop then they don’t let people on until they make the ride go around with no people in it a couple times Busch gardens has a lot of safety measures it’s a really good park
Man I just rode this ride twice today. It's fine. It's a man made machine. It's like a car it will break down no matter how well you take care of it. Yeah it sucks that you get stuck but I'm sure they were more than compensated for it.

most likely a block fault. The other car in front of them was a bit close so it probably just stopped to make sure it doesn't hit the other one on the way down. block faults usually end up and evacuations if they can't get the block fall off within 15 minutes. Yes, that’s it. The ride did not malfunction, and the riders were never in any danger whatsoever. Ride evacuations happen all the time at any safely operating theme park.

I recently this summer got stuck at the top of Sheikra’s incline towards closing time. The thing is still having technical difficulties. It was terrifying and they played this super loud alarm that made the experience worse. Thankfully they got us off but we had to ride it while the loud alarms were going off. They should tear the motors down and rebuild sheikra. It’s getting too old..
Stopping on the lift hill is actually the exact opposite of technical difficulties - it can stop for a number of reasons, the vast majority of which are either directly related to safety systems operating normally or ride operators stopping the lift manually. SheiKra has run safely for 16 years and has a long life ahead of it - 16 years is not old in the theme park industry.
It is fine tho? Did you not notice that both trains stopped in an area that you can evacuate people easily? That’s by design. This coaster did exactly what it should do in this situation, which is shut itself down.
The Cars are too close too each other. I think that’s why the Computers stopped the cars. There are sensors on the cars and the tracks letting the computer know exactly where the cars are at all times. There is a programmed minimum distance between cars. If that minimum distance is breached the computer overrides operator input and stops the coaster alerting the operator that there is an issue with the ride that can be life threatening “Minimum Distance”. I got stuck on something similar. Yes it’s terrifying. But they were In no danger of sliding back. The hooks under the cars were firmly be held by the lift chain. Or so as we were told after the fact.

Thrill Ride Central Exactly. Rollercoaster lift hills generally take direction from Otis Elevator in their approach where if the chain is to break on the hill or elevator it will lock itself in place rather than fall, that's why on a coaster you hear the "click, click, click", that is the coaster train going over anti-rollbacks
