  • The odometer on my 1991 Trans Am has been stuck on the same mileage since I bought it back in 2019. After some research I found a common issue with a specific gear within the odometer that can be easily replaced. This should also work on 3rd gen Camaros as well.

Ordered the same kit and installed per the video. First time in nine years now I am putting miles on the car lol. Seriously, thanks for posting this video. Very helpful! Love the intro and love the 80s music as well!

VERY helpful video, i have very low mileage on my 3rd gen firebird, i thought my odometer broke one time cause i was going fast over a rail road track, and my rear view mirror come flying off, i look at my odometer and it was to moving, my knight rider dash covers the stock dash anyways, but it still feels good to me that it still works after all these years.

Very helpful video. I accidentally took it too far apart, removed the gold back panel, and now the needle doesn’t go back to zero automatically like yours does. Do you know how this can be fixed?

Will this kit work if you have a speedometer that only goes up to 80 mph? I have an 86’ Firebird with the 305 and I just noticed last night my odometer and trip odometer aren’t working.

I don't think it will work. The product description specifically says odometers that reach 120 or 140 MPH.

Do you have the kit for a Canadian car that reads in kilometers?

Is there a lot of prep work as far as tearing down the dash or anything to get to the gauges? I got to do this in my 86 trans am.

Not much. It's pretty straight forward. There's a few videos on here showing how to do that.

And this, kids, is how you go from 151k miles to 128k in just 5 minutes :-D
Sadly they only sell kits for MPH, not KPH...
