BEST short video GREAT editorial along the way. (Mistakes too) No screaming ROCK & ROLL or whatever! you get an A+ very informative. thanks for doing the video.
This is an awesome video! Thanks so much for posting it! Great visual detail! Awesome tips, like the roller and an X cut in the domelight hole, and using excess material for speaker covers! I also like the epoxy tip to help preserve the original. But most especially, I like seeing the removal and reinstallation to get to the project itself! I feel so much more confident about giving this a go now on my own bird!
I'm so glad I found your channel, I just bought my second car. 1991 3rd gen Camaro. I saw it and just had to have it. Your channels helped me understand a lot that needs to be done on it!
Thanks for the video, I like how you point out how you could of done it better (like with the corners). But you will be the only one that will notice that. It still looks great, way better than the sag! I don't see many mistakes with your videos but when you feel you've made one you point it out so we can learn from them and not make the same ones. Even though I only learn from doing it wrong the first time. Lol
Good video, you should put a link to where you got the clips. For anyone that has damaged 82 to 90 speaker covers the 91 and 92s have plastic instead of cardboard.
This is a better idea than buying an after market headliner. I bought one and it doesn’t fit exactly the same which makes the dome light not fit. It also started sagging a year later.
the hawks motorsports abs plastic headliner are a must. it was a direct fit for my 87 gta. Its better to get the plastic one instead of doing all this unnecessary work.
Would you happen to know in which position the t top mounts are in? I took my entire car apart 6 months ago and I’m finally putting the car back together.
Anyone know a good way to paint the buckets where the lights sit Ik they should be black so I wanna paint mine anyone have tips lmk I’m pretty sure satin black would match
Is it possible the headliner backing foam can crumble while driving with the t tops off? When i drive with the tops off something gets in my eyes and i cant see. It also gets all over the dash and i have to wipe it away after the drive. Im thinking a new headliner is the fix as the stuff falling is almost a sand consistency.

Making an attempt at this process myself and after watching this video I am now more confident it will be good

Videos have helped me so much. Wish I had a guy like you to help me work on my bird.
I would like to thank you very very much for making such a detailed video. I would also like to thank you for saving your original❤
Thanks for the clear direct to the point video. I need to do this on my 4th gen formula, it's a big help!

Great job and great editing. Thank you.
Thank you very much my friend for help us in helping me a lot to remove the interior from a 1987 Pontiac God bless you
Man I wish I hadn't have torn mine out. Mine was in the same shape as yours. Great video tutorial.
looks like a 90-92, i never seen t-top headliner with clips that is very helpful. Great Video.
@1967 Chevelle LSx Great News, Thanks!
Looks so hard but worked out well thanks for the posting .
Thank you I am working on this now.!
Hecka easy to follow thank you so much for sharing!
Awesome video. I’m going to try and do this on my 4th gen

Good idea with the resin to stiffen the board. I'll probably try that soon. I don't have T-tops, though, so it will take a lot of resin.
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH I WANTED TO DO THIS TO MINE SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great repair job. Thanks for the share
Love them '86s
I love this car! It’s my favorite car to ride! And to fix a car like this is 1 heck of a project!😎😎😎😎🍩🍩🍩🍩☕️☕️☕️☕️
Beau travail
Where did you get the new sheet metal nuts?
Bought a 86 Camaro IROC Z with the 5.7L. It needs a lot of work. At least it runs and drives.
Awesome job man! Someone done that on my bird before. 😁
Do you have one on the 1979 Chevy impala chevy body style.
That was a good vid, great job man.
Very nice thumbs 👍🏽 up
Can you do a video on replacing the door panels inside with possibly a different cardboard or plastic
Nice job, it looks quite good for a first try. Im thinking of doing the same, what kind of glue was it that you used? Does 3M spray on adhesive work?
I replaced my 3rd gen Formula hard top headliner for a with an ABS backed headliner and it fit fine.
I've heard some horror stories about the ABS ones. Stock is always best if you can save the parts.
I just wanted to buy a new headliner but this seems like a better solution. The ones I see are all plastic.
This is a better idea than buying an after market headliner. I bought one and it doesn’t fit exactly the same which makes the dome light not fit. It also started sagging a year later.
Thank you! I have a saggy 91
What type of epoxy resin would you recommend?
any fiberglass resin and some woven fiberglass cloth works.
Pls make video how to regulate T tops.
Do you have a video on the delete plates and your rear view mirror set up?
it's a sun visor delete plate and a stock mirror.
Did you added resign on both sides or just the back side?
just the backside, but add resin to any area that is weak basically
Did this add a lot of weight to the headliner?
maybe added 1/2 a pound or so.
very minimal.
Thank you so much. give me a couple weeks I'm going to post mine on my RUclips. Looks great 👍
You got one more subscriber from me
What exactly was the stuff you used on the pad? Fiberglass without the fabric??
yes, it was just fiberglass resin
you can add Fabric if needed.
👍you the man!!!

I prefer to keep original parts alive. Especially when my headliner was perfectly savable.
Good video
Would you happen to know in which position the t top mounts are in? I took my entire car apart 6 months ago and I’m finally putting the car back together.
They’re the things the cams are attached to.
Is that a Volvo 262C Bertone I see???
yes, mr brother's very nice build.
Anyone know a good way to paint the buckets where the lights sit Ik they should be black so I wanna paint mine anyone have tips lmk I’m pretty sure satin black would match

we talking about a new headliner or the stock one?
@@3rdGenGuy its the stock original one
How much material did you buy?
3 Square Yards just in case i needed extra. 2 sq yards will be enough for 1 try.
What type of epoxy resin do you use, most of what I’m seeing is for tabletops and crafts..
Bondo fiberglass resin. very common
Awesome, thanks! That turns up better results than just ‘epoxy resin’.
How many yards did it take
I only used the resin. you can use fiberglass fabric maybe 2 SQ yards or less
Perfect
If I pay you will you do mine? I recently had a stroke and it left me unable to use my left hand.
call up a local interior shop. not expensive to have them do it
I have a mist fore but can't figure it out
hopefully your headliner isn't causing a Misfire.
I wished i saw this video before ..
I'm missing my whole headliner
Lucky, I’ve spent the last 20 minutes trying to get rid of the bolts on the headlight just to get rid of my rotted headliner...
