They probably don't mind being loaded in the boxes because they know it means they will be able to fly when released.

Never understand people who find joy in keeping animals in captivity as if there is some form of benevolence at play . Ask the pigeons how they fell about having a human overseer.

Since you can't understand why people keep pigeons, I would suggest you give it a try. I started with the street pigeon and then I saw Rollers in the sky rolling, and I fell in love with the breed. In most cases the birds are kept nicely and are feed with quality grain. I have seen lofts that are nicer than some homes. Also Jeff, if you turned out the domesticated pigeons they would die from starvation, predators or disease. I don't think you would want that.. Build yourself a small loft, raise a few rollers and let them fly and you will be amazed, and perhaps change your mind about keeping mans feathered friend..

Maybe you missed the beginning. Man has kept pigeons since about the beginning of time.

Bill Burnside this is the sick delusional thought process that needs to be cured. Pigeons don't need you to do shit but leave them the Fuck alone and while you at it try not destroying all the natural habitat.

+Jeff Weeks I wish someone would drop you off in nature and let you "survive" with the wild pigeons.

Pigeons have evolved alongside us, and have benefited as much from us as we have from them. Learn your history.

We take wild animals and domesticate them for our own sick pleasures because we are bored . Wtf is a pet

Calm down you demented bugger. Pigeons have evolved alongside mankind for 10,000 years. They have served as food and as pets, symbols for piece, as messengers, and they have taken the parts of the world we have broken and made them their own. Pigeons have benefitted from us just as much as we have from them.
