I make my pigeons watch this every day to remind them how good they have it living inside!! Lol. Great video sir well done!!
Lol 😂
I have a lot of pigeons on my high street and I wish I had falcons there to scare them off
I heard what your pigeons replied back to you. Sorry, can't post it here!
@@samsen3965 You certainly know very litlle about pigeons and you must be very biased.
In a loft where pigeons freely can go in and out, pigeons spent 80%+ of their time inside the loft. Which is understandable because outside a pigeon is ALWAYS treathened by birds of prey. The risk of having the loft open of course is a cat entering the loft and nature taking it's course. Which, I suppose, you probably might prefer.
@@leunisvandewege9651 Big Bang Bless You!
man that pigeon is crazy skillful.
Legend says the pigeon was a graduate of top gun.
And the falcon is… actually his homie and they are practicing for the real deal.
Holy Shit 😂😂
😂😂😂
Pigeon was breaking that falcon's ankles with them jukes!

The pigeon was not fast, but skillfull 😊
Right
THEY ACTUALLY HAVE THE SAME SPEED IF THEY FLY STRAIGHT.. THE FALCON IS FASTER WHEN IT'S DIVING AND PIGEONS HAVE MORE ENDURANCE.

That was as nail biting as any action movie. Both birds are Ariel acrobats.
But gotta hand it to the pigeon. It’s bad enough having to find your way home from a race or a training exercise, but throw a hawk in the mix when you’re already tired and the pigeon has to really dig deep. A great shot video, and exciting , and with a happy ending. Nice one 👍thanks.
pigeon not only fast but they have a lot stamina than falcon. they have a high success rate escaping falcon. of course not all is lucky and get caught. in the long run the falcon give up when they get tired.
Pigeons are the prey that falcons likes the most but they are also the most dificult
to get too. Awesome!!
1:05 Mike Tyson shows up. Falcon writes a letter of apology
Glad the pigeon made it! Pigeons rock.
How do you know the paloma made it? The video ends just as the falcon is looking like it's about to catch it, and the paloma looks like it's getting really tired.
Did it? It didn't show the end. I hope it did though.
I saw the hawk make a mistake and the pigeon get some distance away.
Ya Allah tera shower h pigeon bach gaya ❤
Hawks are my favorite thirds in the whole world there, so cool, I love hawks
Looks like a prairie falcon, by the size a tercial , most probably about 2 years old , by the colouring on his plumage from the Arizona. 😁
What a chase super fast pigeon 🕊️🕊️🕊️❤️
that looks like a falcon to me and not a hawk but I could be wrong.
Hello How are you ? I love and like pigeons, when I leave school I always feed them forever, thank you very much for sharing❤🎉
good video.. good morning friends.. nice to meet you🙏🙏🙏🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Thrilling chase and superb camera work.
Awesome video.. as real as it gets! I hope this story is gonna get picked up by Pixar or Hollywood!
Bravo ma belle pigeon . Championne courageuse , endurante....
Bravo mon beau pigeon. Champion courageux, endurant... (masculine word)
What incredible filming!
Like the cheetah and the gazelle!!! Cheers for the pigeon this time.
Great video! Hawks are nightmares for pigeon fanciers; I saw something very similar when a cooper hawk chased a top quality high flyer for a few minutes and every single one of us were petrified and praying that this bird could escape the chase; it would have made a very good action video clip the way this very young bird escaped the claws of the hawk by quick maneuvers . It did not take more than 2 minutes but for us as if it was half an hour. We decided to use this one for breeding as it proved capable of saving himself from the number one enemy out there.
Exactly hence why I release my birds with hawk season if the bird gets caught it wasn’t fast enough or smart enough so it shouldn’t carry it’s offsprings as easy meals I only pick the fastest strongest birds so they can compete with competition and other birds 🦅
The pigeon busted a few moves on him and escaped! LOL
Awesome video thanks
Video stops too early
The pigeons are really smart
Heart wrenching moment for a pigeon owner like myself

Still praying that pigeon is not exhausted.. Skills to survive ..
I hope that Pigeon made it home. I hear that a falcons chances of catching its prey is under 30 percent. Godspeed Pigeon
Oh they catch easy when they don't see the falcon coming. I've only seen one falcon kill of a pigeon and it happened so fast before I could get my camera out to file, the falcon killed him and started flying back home with him.

No, it's a pest. Falcon is the hero here.
They are both heroes. Depends on which side of the fence your view point is.
I never knew falcons kept homing pigeons.
Habe ich so noch nicht gesehen. Danke fürs teilen. LG Thomas
We need bird simulator to experience this action!
Pigeon: I’ll hit the brakes and he’ll fly right by
Speed vs maneuverability and endurance ! Go the pidge !😎👍
Falcon has nearly has much endurance and nearly as maneuverable. Pigeons are extraordinarily acrobatic. If a falcon catches a pigeon, it will catch it easily. If a Pigeon escapes a falcon which is about equal in chance, the pigeon will do so easily.
I had a pet Pigeon and they are way more smart then most think they are. I saw it many times out wit things after it.
Extraordinary film work. Well done.
*Me screaming at my phone*
"Don't touch the ground! Whatever you do, for goodness sake DO NOT touch the ground!"
Pigeons are great acrobats, and that hawk is doing pretty good also.
The title literally says the bird is a falcon-
@@AcademicJaedon Yes. You are correct the title Literally did say it was a Falcon.
I've raised many different breeds of pigeons most my life. Hawks, falcons can typically catch most pigeons but they'll be LUCKY to get a racing pigeon in the air.
but they hit them on the ground easier than lighter weight birds

At high altitude the falcon has an advantage, but fair play to the pigeon for countering every move.

La paloma activo su modo insano 🤑
WOW ! This IS Top Gun !
Here is that I must to say long live pigeon
Plot twist: the pigeon waz a parkour performer and hired the hawk as the cameraman
Pigeon voyageur ?
We Know How Pigeons Handle This Type Of Attacks And More And Still At loft that's The Reson We Love More Then Us To Them ❤
I Know What We And Others Make For Attacks When They come over for The Reason We More To Then Us With Other ❤
My neighbour had racing pigeons years ago. He had them out training one day when a peregrine falcon tried to catch one of the neighbours' birds. Anyway the falcon drops in from way above the training flock and singles out one pigeon. The pigeon immediately heads down as fast as it could with the falcon in hot pursuit. The pigeon travelling at massive speed flew right through a closed glass window, punching a dinner plate size hole in the glass. The neighbour found the pigeon walking around in the room where the window was without a feather out of place.
Right to you! Amazing.
This is just awesome intelligent pigeon
That pigeon is a winner 😊
Hawk pov documentary: GO HAWK!
Pigeon pov documentary: ... GO HAWK!
I’m a falconer. We know that STRONG homing pigeons will always fly faster than a Peregrin … in level flight.
The peregrine has to be in a steep dive or
At least shallow angled down flight to catch a strong homer.
What we see is typically the Peregrin gets in a couple of high speed stoops, if the falcon misses (experienced homers jink and escape very consistently), the homer just flys away at a higher speed that the falcon can manage.
Many cheer for the pigeon. 😃
Barn pigeons don’t do so well.
This pigeon flies like a barny. If it were a strong homer, it would just speedily fly away from the falcon.
Most Utube wildlife videos are set ups.
Looks like an adult female Lanner to me ruclips.net/video/YkmDKswh1PA/видео.html
Excellent explanation!!! I agree.
Yep, in level flight a healthy homing pigeon will outpace a Peregrine.
@@windymiller6908 Looks like a Prairie falcon (Falco mexicanus) much better at pursuit flights
i'm not native to english, is the "its homing pigeon" referring to the falcon actually owning the pigeon or did the pigeon die at the end?
Amazing 👏
Rooting for the underdog , er pigeon in this case . Great Job Pidge. P.S. That was the name of my first pigeon .
This is also a very dangerous task even to the predatory bird. It can also suffered serious injuries while trying to catch the pray.
Pigeon had some moves.
Great Escape
On chase modes like this pigeons have a high chance of escaping the falcon
But when the falcon dives prey is totally defenseless
Wow nice pigeon
If that wasn't an open country that pigeon would have pissed all over the falcon. Pigeon had some good flying skills. RIP Pigeon.
@@Zombie_Longwinger it ain't even a Wood Pigeon, it's a Feral Pigeon let out of a basket out of shot and in open view to the falcon, so basically it's an easy catch for the falcon, a fish in a barrel, plenty of falconer's catch feral pigeons and release them like this , notice it's a solitary pigeon and not in a flock, if there was trees, shrub's and buildings it probably would of out paced the falcon with speed and stamina and escaped.
@@stephenphilpott6772 I didn’t say it was a WoodPigeon reread my last post it’s a homing pigeon

How do pigeons practice those evasive maneuvers?
is instinct. I have seen a very young highflyer escaping the attack in altitude with lots of evasive movements; it was terrifying for us watching it and not being able to help that little guy

A falcon owns a homing pigeon?!? Wtf?!?
Has there every been a pigeon that figured out how to fake out a falcon by diving toward the ground?
Based on this videos and some others, the pigeon seems to rely on its speed to get away from being hunted.
God saved pigeon.
But why God don't help Falcon?
@@jethalal8417 lol..killer vs inocent, mental approach always goes toward innocents...
Both of them are innocent, it's nature and that falcon is only trying to eat and survive
It's natural selection no innocent no killer
Pigeon saved pigeon. He put on a clinic; on how to win a dogfight.
The legend says....
A fresh racing pigeon is a better flyer than the falcon. But a racing pigeon coming from a race will be dead if they met a falcon along their way
I don't agree. Pigeons can maintain the same speed for hours while a falcon/haw is only fast during short distances. If they attack from above they have more chances.
This pigeon doesn't know the hawk. To film the video the raised pigeon was given to the hawk
Wonderful pigeon

The pegion said you need more practice 😅
Yesterday falcon ate pigeon in my garden. You can watch my video
Not a hawk, a falcon. Notice the lanky pointed wings, the rapid wing beats, the amazing agility. If you freeze at around 0:48 it doesn't have the typical facial mustache of a peregrine, but it does have trailing leg straps suggesting it's domesticated. I'll throw out a guess at a gyrfalcon, or maybe an atypical peregrine?
That predator is awfully fast...
I'm doing a video project on Pigeons - may I use a clip of this, with your persmission? (+ would credit you of course)
