Jaya’s mother, Elizabeth Ramsey is another very good singer. Danced really well too. She sang a lot of Bobby Darren songs. One of the early jazzers. Clearly the path setter for Jaya KZ….all of them are intellectually and musically indebted to Elizabeth Ramsey
There's still something you haven't seen from KZ, she have a secret talent she showcased in the song Close To You.

Just a trivia for everyone, JAYA is the Queen of Soul of the Philippines and influenced by most of the black american soul-gospel-jazz-r&b singers such as Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker to name a few. That's why her attack is like old-school. On the other hand, KZ is considered as the "Empress of Soul" of the Philippines. Everytime she sings, she always put her soul -- it means she just not sing but she sings in the service of the song. She can sing any genre because music is her life and she learned a lot from her singer influencers.

Jaya is soul personified. It would interest you to know that she is deaf in one ear yet her ear for music and improvisation is not diminished. This is a true tribute to Nina Simone. KZ as always is impressive. Glad you like this. 😁

Jaya is the Queen of Soul and KZ is the Soul Supreme. They are both good. They have this singing ability that sets them from the other singers.
