- I finally tried my micro fpv quad with the new m10 gps module.
This is the first time I have seen an fpv quad land by itself ,I know I am behind ,but it is still unbelievable.
Build:
Motor: FullpeedRC 1104 7500kv (later i change to 1204)
Propeller: Gemfan 2540 flash
AIO flight controller: NamelessRC 412T AIO
VTX : Rush tiny tank 5.8ghz
Camera: Foxeer Razer Nano
VTX antenna: Foxeer Lollipop 3
RX: Happymodel 2.4G ELRS EP2 nano (ceramic antenna) - (later i change to ELRS with T antenna)
Frame: AlfaRC Fi-115 2.5"
GPS: FlyFishRC M10 Mini GPS Module
Battery: 450mah 2s GNB
Gear:
Goggle: Skyzone and Eachine Cobra X V2
VRX antennas: Menace Pico Patch and Realacc Pagoda
Transmitter : Jumper T8SG plus V2 carbon edition
ELRS Module: Happymodel ES24TX Micro
very nice analog footage, how did you record the video? It seems like the video is scaled up to a higher resolution, right?
Skyzone cobra x v2 goggle was used to record the dvr and yes I upscaled it ,because youtube tends to degrade the quality at lower resolutions. 1920x1080
@@TargetFPV Nice, how did you upscale? any software?
@@nmrlab3807 Nothing extra just stretched out and rendered in 1920x1080. I use VSDC free video editor
awesome tiny quad
Thank you!
Aren't these tiny M10 chips the best investment! 👍
You might wanna reduce the speed at touchdown a bit. I have GPS rescue working perfectly in my 5 inch, but I always took control of the quad before it landed autonomously. GPS rescue saved my quad at least 4-5 times by now. I never take off without 8 satellites.
The m10 is a great thing, but for me the gps is interesting in itself. I have already lowered the descent rate ,but I still need to lower it a bit. Of course it's better to take control at the end ,but I was so impressed with this landing that I just blinked. Now I have 2 extra m10 mini gps modules one I will put on a flying wing the other maybe on a plane (with inav). Interesting how much technology is improving nowadays (everything is getting smaller)
@@TargetFPVyou're right! These things have become much smaller and efficient. I have a TBS Discovery 10 inch drone running Ardupilot, and the gps module in that (M7 I suppose) is much larger and heavier. It also has a compass. Now Betaflight doesn't even need a compass and that itself is interesting.
Awesome build! Could you show us what parts are in this build? :O
Hi! I just wrote the build in the description.
woow. what camera do you have? the quality is soo damn good for an analog video
This is the Foxeer Razer nano camera.
@@TargetFPV ok. Thank you so much
What cam, props and frame? They look cool
Hello! I just wrote the build in the description.
@@TargetFPV thank you!!! Is razer nano a good camera? How does it handle dark or night flying?
To fix the wobbliness, you can adjust the angle mode pids :)
Köszönöm a tippet! Annyira nem szeretnék belemélyedni ,most ennek is örültem ,hogy leszállt magától. :)
It doesn't have to be fixed. As long as the drone comes back. Its just used for rescue not for smooth video
Stage 1 throttle and mode only kick in on real failsafe. GPS rescue or stage 2 of fail safe has a hover throttle value you have to enter
It was maybe a year ago that I tried gps rescue and I didn't set the stage 1 part. I sucked twice on failsafe because of it and ended up walking. I had tried it the previous weekend and it just dropped on failsafe. I read up on it and some videos finally explained properly how it works. Now I just tried the return home switch to see if the landing part really works. Next will be the failsafe test. But this is just curiosity and experience and trying out the tiny m10 gps. Anyway thanks for the information ,because it is useful!
how you have so clean analog lol. have capacitor on that lil 2s bird?
Hi! It has a capacitor, supplied with the aio.
interesting :D@@TargetFPV
Awesome, what quad is this?
Thank you! This is a custom built quad on an AlfaRC Fi-115 frame. It runs on 2-3 cell batteries. It currently has 1104 7500kv motors but I plan to change to 1204 to see if it will last longer in the air. I had gps on it before and the rescue worked ,but now I tried it with newer gps and betaflight. This self landing really surprised me :)
@TargetFPV thought so. I have the same, except i went with 1204 6500, had some old iflight xing2s. Also went with aio 25amp and walksnail. 87 grams no batt. Heavy compared to toothpicks but half the weight of the new 2.5s coming out. Going to swap out to some 1404s i have lying around, still will be under 100 grams, with HD. Cheers.
@@TargetFPV How much do the the total parts list roughly cost?
@kratzeni hard to say, it was all leftovers from other builds. But i imagine under $150 usd. The frame, motors, and 2540s, was amazon. The aio is 1st gen 15amp flywoo used in the tiny trainer, WS 1s was from black friday.
@@TargetFPVthats really neat. Well done.
What altitude mode did you use and what was the height? Looked like 25m or more.
Hello! I used fixed altitude mode and set it to 50m for this flight. I forgot to write it out on the osd sorry. There are some tall trees around here so I wanted to be sure. On the failsafe test (other video) I set it to 40m there.
My gps rescue doesn’t really work my drone wants to dive at the ground and then go up and bob around i don’t understand im new to the hobby. Does anyone know what could cause this?
Hello! First I would try using the default settings and activate it with a switch to see what it does. There are many factors involved ,what type of drone (hover throttle), do you have enough satellites (8 maybe) is the home arrow pointing the right direction etc. If the drone does this on failsafe then the hover throttle is not set correctly ,but I could be wrong. There are separate videos on gps rescue setup and a description on betaflight site worth looking through.
People don’t have to learn how to land anymore 🤯
Personally, I see the landing as a mini game. If you manage to land it nicely, it's an extra pleasure - for me at least ;) But maybe someone else can use it, so now it lands by itself with a switch! Of course I have to slow down the descent a bit. If it had landed a little further down on the concrete at this speed, I might have taken it home in pieces. :)
А где ты его ккпил? Хочу такой же приобрести
Это квадрокоптер, собранный на заказ из частей. Почти любой квадрокоптер может сделать это, вам просто нужен модуль gps и прошивка betaflight 4.5.
