Thanks so much for the big shotout Matt! I appreciate it a lot! I have the same problem, over the last weeks too much work in my job, Hope it getting better soon....
You deserve it, my Friend!! Always love your Videos!
Carmine 🚂🚙
Thanks for the hat (and chocolate!), yours should be on the way soon, or almost there I hope!
I have faith in you catching up. Just finished up the Axail Unamog 10 Orange body White interior and inner bed. My local hobby shop don't have any servos in yet. Good Luck
Thanks Ken!
It was a pleasure to help with this build
My most sincere gratitude, you nailed it!
Looks really sweet man.. Thumbs up cant wait to see final product and test.. As for lockn diffs and stuff i myself would go full all locked everything everwhere.. True 4x4 wagon fashion..
Thanks for the tips!
Oh sweet ride Sir....Think Id lock the centre diff and go super thick in front and rear just to give it a bit more "give" !! but that depends on how much traction the surface has, as you know all round full locked turns like a double decker bus on tarmac but on dirt its not too bad.
Thanks for the tips!
Paint work looks awsome not to mention that the rig looks way better than that other guy's LOL.Maybe you could show Josh how to build a scale looking rig that function as good as they look.
Oh man, I hope it functions half as good as Josh's!
Dragbolt was cool, hang time,,,eehh not so much, but this mayhem I believe you just created a new scale market. I'm definitely doing a similar rig. Looks great.
Gosh, I think it would be so cool to see PL release something like what we're building.
Holy Crap!!! Wow!!! I'm in LOVE with this!!! I have been chomping at the bit to see what you have done!
🤘🤘🤘😁😁😁
Thanks very much!
Lock the front diff, rear shouldn't be an issue because most of the time if you're going forwards up a hill or accelerating the rear wheels are the ones with the traction and weight so it's the front that will unload and spin. Keeping the rear unlocked will help with steering. Might be worthwhile testing removing the front sway bar too or at least loosen the retainers so it acts like a softer bar. Great looking build, definitely looking forward to seeing the weathering go on.
Thanks for the tips!
Happy May Day! 😲😋 LATE....
That's looking GOOD Matt! 😎👍👍
Makes me love the Power Wagon Body even MORE.
I have been friends with Matteo since 2012. Thanks for shouting out his fine Channel.
Carmine 🚂🚙
Thanks Carmine!
My vote would be locked front and center. Mostly locked (thick fluid but not completely locked) rear. That way you don’t have a bound rear tire pulling the truck over backwards but still have mostly “locked” traction.
Oooh, I like it!
LOCK THEM ALL! The rear just feels like it should have been tube with bedside panels but it does look good the way it is and your work stands out. You've got me wanting this body on my crawler.
I had to go for the simplest route, and tubing out the rear would add more weight where I don't want it. Forward weight bias is a measure for success.
Take a servo mount and place it on the front side of the shock and it should end up between the back of the headlight and power wagon emblem.
Sorry, what's this about?
@@scalebuildersguild i guess a ghetto body mount I would make to have the body mounted down. But I'm sure you've already had something but your sleeve.
Superb super cool. I think the hulk would be jealous. Awesome. 👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟✌
Haha, thanks!
I love your cut scenes! Cracks me up everytime! Tge rig works great!
Cheers!
Awesome work as always. Can't believe how good it looks keep it up dude.
Thanks so much!
Great progress really digging this rig
Thanks a lot!
Matteo’s videos are the reason I got into rc crawling! How crazy to see you sporting that hat.
He's an amazing person!
Personal opinion would be to lock the front and rear but leave the center diff. open for balancing power , front to rear.
Hmmm...
Never thought I would want one of these, but I am seriously thinking about one of these. Great job so far!
I think it's going to be a super fun truck Wes, you might want to check it out.
Wow I love it !! That is a bad A$$ looking power wagon !! Great job i'll be watching for more
Thanks very much!
Looking great matt! I would lock all three, gotta be able to get over the rocks!
Right on, thanks!
BADASS! I love the way this truck looks!
Thanks!
Sweet paint! Power Wagons are awesome. Go full locked 4x4. Open diffs and crawling sounds like a recipe for losing. Good Luck.-"Angry" Dave
Thanks Dave!
Looks so sick bro!! Outstanding paint job! I have an airbrush I need shake the dust off and try that proline paint. Definitely cool and inspiring!! Hats off you you sir!!
THanks Dean! Airbrushing is where it's at. Will I see you at BTF?
Scale Builder's Guild unfortunately I can’t make it. I have too much work lined up.....I’m hoping to make it out next year!
I love your attention to detail !!! Super niCe!!
Thanks very much!
Looks great!!! Why better than the other guys truck!!
Who even cares about the other guy, right?!
truck looks really sick, that texture of green and the black is workin for me, cant wait for the finished product
Thanks very much!
Nice hat!
Ha, thanks!
No need to apologise. Just no more pictures of jeeps🤪😂 looking really cool I like it. Lock the rear open front diff 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
I like my Jeep though!
It looks awesome.
You could get away with locking the front and center. Run thick oil in the back. Reason for this...if it's a concern....is the "push-straight" effect a locked rear has. Here's my reasoning(slow); I can go pretty darn far with my front diff locked and pretty much make most if not all the same climbs as having both front and rear locked , ok?..ok.
(Fast)only locking the front on my Summit gives the fastest laps on my roundy-round with the whoopty-doo's in the one big jump. On the corners the front locked diff gives you more precise/control steering and pulls the rig through without unloading the inside tire or any "pushing". It's worked with every rig I've ever had not just the big ones.
Thanks for the tips Tom!
Looking great man. I'm in the same boat trying to balance work, RC, and creating. Keep up the great work!
It's difficult, but worth it!
Whatever excuses from a Canadian are not needed everyone knows that we are the cold north we have a no worries be happy mentality......... most of the time until we get in our 1:1 cars that is. 👍🏽great job on the paint I might try salt for my Chevy build.
Give it a try, it's a fun way to paint.
Matteo's videos r great, so are yours!
Thank you!
i'm very excited to see the comparison d:)
Me too!
Power wagon is looking pretty good. I think locking center and rear for sure locking the front could get a little bindy. Like where you are going with this one
Thanks for the tips!
OMG have you seen Josh's rig... it's not looking as good as i expected it to be, i had doubts but that really isnt my cup of tea.
I really like how the powerwagon is looking now, wish the bed was not bowing out near the mid area, but overall... love it!
maybe i will do something similar, but use a fiberglass hard body hehe
Thanks for the comments!
its best to do what your most confident and confortable with to have a more positive results.
This is true, thank you!
Love the videos, love the work. Sweet rig
(lock the rear and the center, with super heavy weight infront)
Thanks for the tips!
Man, what a cool hat👍👍👍💪💪💪
Sure is! Nice guy too!
Sweet paintjob👍👍No expert on ultra4 but maybe lock center and rear? Front open for maybe beter and tighter cornering?
Sounds like a plan!
Love it Matt keep it up.
I will, thanks!
Looks good.
THanks!
That thing looks great!!
Thanks!
Great work man👍
Thanks so much!
Lock the front and rear in such a way that you won't break it. I love this much more than Harley's. Just my preference
Not breaking will be key!
Home run !
I’ve used a real rust paint , salted over that and activated it after scuffing and salt removal..... the rust creeps!
Sure does! I love real rust.
Wow that is so cool!!!!🏁🏁🏁👻👍
Thanks!
Definitely lock the center diff for sure.
Cheers!
Scale Builder's Guild lol
Looks great like they all do. Seems like a lock rear would function best all around
Hmm, most are saying to leave the rear open-ish.
I waiting for weathering 😎👍.... PS Matteo nice guy actually, I need to ask him a cap 🧢 too 😂
Hope you like the weathering!
Scale Builder's Guild 😎
What a great review~!!🤩👍😁
Thanks!
Lookin good! Lock the center at the very least 😉.
Right on!
Looks awesome, I am going to have to pick up a pl power wagon body. Keep up the hard work and make Harley resign
Thanks, definitely get one!
Locked center, ultra thick diff oil in front an rear
Thanks!
Nice job with the paint, id think you would want at least center diff locked but I'm not ultra4 expert
Totally, not sharing my final setup, but I'm pretty excited!
Paint looks freaking awesome man! I would go full lock on the diffs
Cheers!
Looks, Killer!!
Thanks!
Haha I can totally relate to your situation, trying to get all this done before proline... My 3D printed 79 ford build, my son's 78 blazer ascender, and for further insanity I just added a barrage sumo build?!?! What are we thinking?! Oh yes and our "real jobs" :O
You'd better get to work!
@@scalebuildersguild I was thinking the same... How do you have time to reply here?! Get to work!! Wait, I dont have time to reply?!?!
Hi Matt. I am going to be a Pro-Line by the fire this coming Friday and Saturday. My question is, when will you and Josh be comp-ing your new rigs? me and some of the guys from my crawling group would love to watch you guys hammer it out! Ray
We did, did you get to see any of it?
@@scalebuildersguild Unfortunately, not. Just finished watching your recap video. Looks like you guys had fun. From the looks of it, you could have used the Voltaren cream I offered you. lol. No pun intended.
Nice video
Cheers!
Yeah, door handles. So you got that going for you.
Seriously, it looks great but what is the bent frame look?
Trying to fool Josh into thinking it's broken... ;)
@@scalebuildersguild Do you think it will work? I think he is on to you.
I like your Matteo’s rc hat
Me too!
@Matt: lock the center and put some 500.000 or 1mil. wt diff oil in the others... you'll like it!
Thanks for the tips!
Lock everything?!?!😈 really get that positive traction 🧗🏽♂️
Any traction will be positive.
in my opinion yours win in style. i just prefer the style. i am just trying to figure out how to mount my power wagon on my 10.2 with no body clips.
Very cool ,lock both diffs and heavy weight the center diff
Cheers!
What is it that you do for work? Is it really work? The Rig looks pretty Awesome..
I'm a film editor and work mostly in advertising.
AWESOME😀👍
Thanks!
I locked the front diff's on my yeti and broke three VP axles. Maybe use silly puddy.
Ha, good point!
I'd lock all the gears, definitely looked close to the race tractor
Cheers!
Put 500k - 1 million weight oil in the front or lock it, 500k - 1million in the center, and 50k - 200k in the back for the best overall performance. Definitely don't lock the rear.
Thanks for the tips!
Toight. Yesh, toight like tiger.
HAHAHA
How did you mount the body?
It's a hard mount in the rear, as the cage holds it in place. A couple well placed screws will hold it on up front.
Dont apologize, we know your Canadian.
HAHAHA
Looks great ...it looks scale but the tires look too large ...don't get me wrong it looks just great ....
Yeah, that was always going to be a problem with taking this chassis and doing what we did. Josh's is more in proportion, but I'm still happy with the end result.
Lock the center diff leave the front open and drive it a while...then decide if u want to lock the rear end...!?? Just my cents
Good call!
Lock the front is all I would do
Haha, yeah, front will probably stay open-ish.
Stickers make it faster! MOPAR or no car!
I hope the stickers arrive in time!
I’d be interested to see how much salt you sprinkle on. I assume not much
No, not very much at all.
Lock front back and center
Okay, thanks!
lock the center diff and 1.5 m weight oil in the back 500k in the front.
Cheers!
@@scalebuildersguild Norm!
Leave it open with 500,000 in the center 10,000 in the front and rear
Just a little lock?
I bet Matteo has tats that say, ' I'm that Tamiya guy'
Wich body is this. I, ll pur it in my Slash.
Pro-Line PowerWagon - it won't fit on a Slash without a lot of heavy modifying.
@@scalebuildersguild Thank you.
You need to be able to lock and unlock on the fly,, Have the locks when you need them, not locked, When you don’t. Tough to do, but you sorta look like a smart guy. You can finger it out, I think?
Nah, way too complicated to set that up, and not necessary.
Please type the name of that chrome paint pen you've mentioned a couple of times. Not sure if its your Canadian accent or my shitty ears or a combination of both...
Tractor Truck is looking bad ass. The brazing work really looks great painted. Shows that not everything has to be bought off the shelf...
Molotow. Thanks for the kind words!
@@scalebuildersguild Thank you! I have some things I want to chrome and I've seen the results of that thing a couple of times now.
Harley... resign 😀😀😀
Add 2-speed transmission for speed, or whole traxxas summit drive line.
You can do it!
Nah, it'll be plenty fast already!
Lock the center and rear
Cheers!
Lock the entire drivetrain .... center and a front aaaaand the rear
That's a lot of locks.
First, sweet 👍🏻
Congrats? ;)
Lock the door...
HAHAHAHA
2:10 Too much!! ;)
Hahaa
