Dasarath Oja was a renowned band player at his time. He has his own band party. He was so popular among the people as a great musician in the band as well as a great human being. His family consists of his wife, two sons, and one daughter. He brought up his kids in a very good way, with a good education. Now they are well established in their own field and married. The elder son is a renowned doctor in Delhi, and the younger son is a professor at a reputed college in Guwahati. His daughter is pursuing higher studies after masters in another city. He lost his wife a few years ago. After the death of his wife, his younger son brought him to Guwahati to live with him. But he feels so lonely over there.
Nowadays, his children don’t allow him to play in bands. In fact, they did not like it, as they thought it was a matter of their reputation and social status. The changes of society nowadays, make these band parties or the band players outdated but Dasarath Oja worshiped his art and his band party. He sacrificed his whole life for the band. He lives with their band. negligence of a band party in his own house from his own family members in his own daughter's marriage. He felt so sad ,deeply hurt with his emotions, met a cardiac attack and lost his life.
Bajona is just an example. Nowadays, modern society is neglecting lots of traditional art forms in our culture. Changes are natural, but preserving our own art and culture is our duty too.
