    C'mon this is very n-i-c-e. 💜 exactly like a luxury apartment. You met the goal perfectly. Love all of it but also the speaker that you can pull out from the cabinet was a great thought item. 🎶

    Since we sleep for 8 hours and are awake for 16, it makes sense to have the dining area where the bed is. The 3 fold table gives options and added openness if needed. Nice van build.

    Great layout, lighting might be to bright at night over couches if no dimmers. I would consider amber light over couches or perhaps a small partition between sink/ counters and couches with reading lights and usb outlets. And heat controls.

    Beautiful and such well-done video James and Max! You totally captured why I’ve been obsessed about designing my dream van for the past few years! Love the craftsmanship and thoughtful design and would love to see more of your work and talk about working together! Just a heads up to Patrick too that the link doesn’t work:( So, please let me know how I can get in touch! Again, your short film was magical to watch and great delivery by you guys!

    Beautiful build... absolutely bespoke. I would love an awning, and it would need some racks for the back. But those can be added later. The only thing I didn't like was I do like a table option up front with two more seats for other passengers. But for a single or couple, this van is great.

    Did I get it right that the toilet slides into the space in the kitchen instead the bathroom??? For a very small van conversion that represents basically a one-room situation it might be acceptable. But this Sprinter is quite large.
    Nevertheless, I like the interior aesthetics - reminds of some diners (in a positive way).

    • @bindingcurve
      @bindingcurve 4 месяца назад

      Water from the shower will get into the slide and you will have issues. And a lot of time the shower turns into a closet.

    • @rockymountainbuilds
      @rockymountainbuilds 4 месяца назад

      @@bindingcurvethis was a big consideration for us. Another factor was that the shower pan has a 3” lip on it and it would raise the toilet height to at least 5” taller than it would be on the floor. It made for feet not touching the ground unless you’re 6’ plus. There is the option to keep the toilet in the shower and have the privacy, and then move it whenever you decide to shower. It fits with plenty of room!

    • @michaelscarfi3196

      @@rockymountainbuildsyes the heater is in the other room I get that so how is it recirculating the air from the van area with the door closed. That’s what I don’t understand.

    • @rockymountainbuilds
      @rockymountainbuilds 4 месяца назад

      It pulls air from the cabin area but there is a gap under the partition door that would allow it to pull air from the living area as well. Either way it is effective at keeping the interior warm!@@michaelscarfi3196

    • @NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures
      @NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures  4 месяца назад

      I believe the return is the gap underneath the partition wall between the cab area, but I might be wrong

  • @Brigand231

    Love the intro and the build is fantastic, though I would prefer some kind of external water fill. The hose fill requires the rear to be open, which would mean losing all your heat to fill or added labor to fill a jug from a hose to gravity fill (and still losing some heat going in and out with a jug or bucket).

    • @rockymountainbuilds
      @rockymountainbuilds 4 месяца назад +1

      Fortunately with the 35 gallon tank you shouldn't need to fill very often and run into this predicament! We could certainly build one that way for you if you were interested. Thanks for the feedback!

    • @NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures
      @NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you very much for the feedback. Their intention was to make it as winter capable as possible so no external water connections, but I do understand your point.

    Such a beautiful van! The wood is gorgeous and the slate bathroom 🤌 But Aw man, the toilet should slide into the bathroom, not the kitchen/walkway 🥴 It’s right there at that wall. Weird design choice.

    I’m wondering about snow storms and having the solar panels up top. How do you keep power if the panels get covered with snow when it snows storms for several days nonstop?

    • @rockymountainbuilds
      @rockymountainbuilds 4 месяца назад +1

      Like everything with solar, you need to wipe them off if they are covered in snow. They're made of glass so the snow slides off easily. This van also has an alternator charger that charges the battery while the car is on.

    • @bindingcurve
      @bindingcurve 4 месяца назад +1

      Two problems with that. First a lot of the time the shower stall ends up becoming storage. Second, ensuring water does not get into the slide and causing all kinds of problems. It's a VAN and if you are that squeamish, there are all kinds of small C class campers (there is NO such thing as a B+) that may be a better fit.

    Why 3/4 inch wood. Very sturdy, but what's the weight difference from 5/8s.

    • @NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures
      @NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures  4 месяца назад

      A lot of Van builders are using light ply, which is three-quarter inch and it’s about 30% less than store-bought three-quarter inch ply
