I’m a woman trying to string my Echo for the first time ever and I appreciate the ease, but also the silliness because that’s about how it went for me.
Wow, thanks man!. I have been taking that thing apart for 4 years to put string in it😳🙄🤔😕!. If only i would have read the manual!🙄😅. Thanks again and glad there is youtube!.✌🏻
Enjoyed the video. Saved me time and frustration. It also was humorous to watch. Thanks for posting and not caring it wasn’t professional. It got the message across !
Nice explanation. You were spot on. I know you helped a lot of people. Here is a tip to make your trimmer line last longer. Wet your line and it will be less brittle.
Typical wife, husband not home, called him and he gets so anxious telling me how hard it is. I said don't stress, I'll watch a RUclips video. I found your video. He never knew this way. I'm like, next time you need it changed I'll do it for you... and he is my Mr. Fix it. THANK YOU.
Thank You!! I had taken everything off, forgetting I had the speed load. Love that y’all kept it real and didn’t do multiple retakes to make it look “professional”.
Thank you so much. I’m a pretty girl maintenance woman but only for my house. This was so helpful. I got tired of people halfway doing my yard so decided to edge it myself and ran out of string. Of course my husband is 71 and not about to try to learn how to or deal with it. So I said you tube teaches you everything. Behold you can through with the perfect tutorial ❤😂
I wish I would had came across your clip earlier...saw one clip of a guy showing to re-string but had to take out the spool...so I naturally did the same...Me love you long time!
Thank you, you saved my husband's annoyance with manual that he makes me read. You're standing it up was the solution so that the clockwise turning made sense. Yeah
Yo. I just searched this thinking i might find a better/quicker way. Yo man you helped out. I was always winding that spool by hand. Now it took me 45 seconds. Thanks man!!
Love it man. Just bought one, thanks for the advice! I'm like you, "I'm sure there's an easier way but this is the way I'm doing it now." Appreciate the advice buddy.
You a lifesaver we were trying to figure this ish out all summer the yard and stuff done got crazy out here in NC and I’ve been watching videos on how to feed a string in there and all every one says is you have to push the buttons first But you finally broke it down for me you the first one to say just look to make sure you see the light and fit it through then you push the buttons to get it twisted in appreciate Wish Many Blessings On Your Life & Family G
If you face the head toward the ground when you are winding the string on, it will not wrap around everything. Gravity will keep it hanging toward the ground and tangle free.
Charlie, great video, just got my Echo, and got very frustrated with trying to replace the trimmer line. And I work for Oregon Chainsaw, so we sell all these stuff. But I’m their global logistics Mngr, so I’m clearly not an expert like you! Thank you again!
THANK YOU! I do our lawn but never use the weedeater because of reloading it and everything! I’ve started using it today and am super confident DUE TO THIS VIDEO!!
Hey bro just wanted to say thanks you explained it very well I had my echo for almost 30 years it finally went to weed eater heaven lol I bought the echo 2620 I think it has the same head on it! Thank you for your time Brotha 😎👍job well done on how to string it!!
Awesome video and i have to say a little entertaining you are also the first one to ACTUALLY say the direction to turn the head others just say turn it the video can make things appear backwards so Thank You awesome job.
Oh my gosh! I love this weed eater but I actually had the drive housing upside down and after a couple of minutes the string blew out and I had to start over. THANK you for making it look easy. It's whackin away. I sure wish I'd put 40 feet of string instead of 12! lol
This is a great tutorial and I did it just like this HOWEVER now when I give full throttle the line lengthens without intending (without bumping bottom) and I have to stop and retract some line. Wondering if tension wasn’t tight enough when putting the line on? Anyone have a suggestion? Thought? Thx 🙏🏽

My man, you are a genius!! No more “three hands needed” to balance spool, keeping line snug…cool!

MY TRIMMER MANUAL did not describe how to load the trimmer. Thank you!
If you face the head toward the ground when you are winding the string on, it will not wrap around everything. Gravity will keep it hanging toward the ground and tangle free.
