This episode is a game-changer as Jay finally tackles one of his most anticipated tasks - removing the old roll cage that originally came with Charlie. Watch as we meticulously slice away the tube work, a crucial step in lightening our car's load.
But the work doesn't stop there! We then take on the challenge of securing the rear end to the chassis table, setting the stage for our next big move - cutting out the factory frame rail. It's a meticulous process, but every cut brings us closer to our goal.

Charlie gonna be super nice. I figured those framerails would have been heavier. Are ya'll gonna slide the engine back any?

We were hoping for more lol but we kept cutting 😅. We are not, headers are built, all the lines exc. We don’t have time for that if we want to race soon. Also on the front side stuff the engine placement isn’t killing us.

Putting that car on your chassis table did you first level the car and weld tabs from the body to the table or is the car just laying on the table ?
    Thanks

We had Charlie scaled out the way we wanted with just moving key components to the back of the car. With us primarily running front side no prep our scale numbers we are looking for are pretty easily obtainable by planning ahead. There is a reason it never had carbon tubs or anything.

Such a shame to cut an already good car! The minimal weight loss gained! Would have been better off achieved with more cubes and more gas.
The car is now basically heading north of being nothing short of a shit box pro mod.

You will be amazed how much all these “small” amounts of weight add up at the end.
