Had to look it up and found out mana burn was eliminated almost 8 years ago after seeing him use the Pristine Talisman. That's great! i also like 45 degree tap, because when I started playing during Revised, the tap symbol was a T turned at 45 degrees.
Deck cutting exists to prevent cheating not because you express explicit untrust towards the person in front of you or because you don't necessarily trust them, but rather because not preventing basic false-shuffle cheating is two seconds of your time to prevent (or at least discourage) foul play.
technically, you could argue: - illusionary means "pertaining to an illusion, or of the nature of an illusion" - illusory means "resulting from an illusion; deceptive, imaginary, unreal" so all illusory things are illusionary, but not all illusionary things are illusory. with that said, yes, the two are more or less synonyms
The Deck namers at the Pro level should take some hints from how you guys name your Decks...maybe not as loosey-goosey, but still more creative then Mardu Vehicles (when there may only be one Vehicle in the whole, entire Deck).
It was super hard watching Assault Formation not being used in Attack or Defense and killing Serge quickly no matter his 30 life. ITS A INSTANT >>>> UGHHHHHHHHHHH
Considering in past Loading Time videos that they've shown boxes upon boxes of MTG cards, I'd say there's an office pool somewhere that they say "oh hey I need " and then everyone's either like "yeah that's cool" or "no Cameron, that's the eight Cryptic Command this week, you need to *stop*"
Play kokusio in commander, give it myriad, attack, create two token copies, sac two copies due to the legendary rule, drain each opponent for ten and gain 30
You cut the deck all the time so that everyone knows you cut the deck all the time so nobody has any reason to expect that you won't cut the deck. You don't commit to anti-cheating behaviour because of the 99.9% times it won't have any impact. You do it because it costs you nothing and there are people who will exploit its absence.
Yes, if you cannot crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women, then absolutely hot water, good dentistry, and soft lavatory paper. Two thumbs up.
Their talk about edh and kokusho is out of date. There is no longer a seperate list of cards that are banned as the commander; now either a card is banned completely or its not. When this change was made kokusho became completely unbanned. Im not sure about his legality in french commander or mtgo 1v1 as i dont play those formats
Wotc missed the boat with Iconic Masters. Maybe half the set was iconic. Grim Tutor should have been included instead of another printing of Necro. Instead of Monastery Swiftspear, I’d rather have an original art Shivan Dragon. I know Shivan has been printed into the ground with it being in all the recent deckbuilders kits, but I would still take that over many other cards. Nearly every common in the set should have been something else. Iconic could have been an absolute homerun, but instead we got a handful of useful reprints, and two handfuls of garbage.
Draft - 5:11
Deckbuilding - 30:43
Game 1 James Vs Ben - 46:21
Game 2 Cameron Vs Graham - 1:21:49
Game 3 Ian Vs Serge - 2:07:35
Thanking Subs - 3:40:23
you sir, are a blessing
Agree
"Are you buying magic cards for work or pleasure?"
Correct Answer: "Neither, I play blue."
Manifusion but I play black.
maybe it's not pleasure to be on the business end, but not letting my opponent play magic gives me aa lot of pleasure
“Look how cool we look Internet” - Ben Ulmer.
I was screaming through Serge's deckbuild because what he was looking for rebound and lifegain, and look what has lifegain AND rebound? SURVIVAL CACHE

That spy in Graham v Cam. Almost as funny as the Hermit activation in Game Knights

I love cam, pick 1 passes a fireball, pick 2 sees rosheen, "oh oh"
Serge forgot to draw for turn after survival cache rebounded... in game 3... and here I thought that chat would realize...
sage cheated the whole game

And not a single card with anything to do with the Mardu clan...
OH! Oh. Right.
fuckin magus of the moon
I'm still waiting for Beej and the Boiz first single to drop
It was super hard watching Assault Formation not being used in Attack or Defense and killing Serge quickly no matter his 30 life. ITS A INSTANT >>>> UGHHHHHHHHHHH
@1:03:19 Ben should have flashed in Illusory Ambusher so that he could have still gotten one last use out of Skywise Teachings.
Noncreature spells. As in, not creatures.
Not with that attitude
sick tides in the relm
What do you guys do with the cards after the draft? Does each person keep the cards or do they go into a big pool at LRR?

I'm hoping at some point they're going to build a giant cube out of them.
They pool all the cards and take them to yellow jacket and trade them in for store credit for future events
bonfire (of the damned)
serge squeak at 3:20:00
Why does he squeak? :o
It might be his equivalent of hiccuping
Assault formation has two abilities.
NVM, Serge caught it.
I am wondering what kind of camera are used as "in hands cards" camera from the draft pick part ? :)
Did Graham draft two cards at 9:50?
No.
Play kokusio in commander, give it myriad, attack, create two token copies, sac two copies due to the legendary rule, drain each opponent for ten and gain 30
Rinse. Repeat. Be forced to play at another store or change decks.
This is why I only bring that deck out every two months min
Not done with the first pack, and I feel sorry for Cam and the choices he had to make.
hahaha I just watched that and came down to the comments to see if anyone else mentioned it. Then he just looks at the camera. hahaha too good.

very, very difficult to read but completely correct in every way
Walter White!
I hope someone in chat knew the proper response to Paul's question, "What is best in life?"
Hot water, good dentistry, and soft lavatory paper.

@1:14:53 Feeling attacked.
OMG!!!! Ian!!!! Dude!!!!! You missed like 15 plays!!!! Buddy...
He was very new at the time
Misplay by Ian in game 1, could have buffed stuff with that enchantment and traded more effectively, goddammit Ian
.... Part 1

Good to know ty
You absolutely should not be allowed to riffle shuffle somebody else's deck without their express permission.
Go team black!
Round 2 and 3... painfully slow.
Also, it doesn't help Ian once more doesn't seem to know what he's doing
He's new take it easy
