Honestly Stan - I find your reviews the most helpful and informative. You really break them down and pick out the little kinks fantastically (and I'm a fellow RUclipsr that has also reviewed several Edelkrone devices)
Heya, two years later - has there been any update to increase the speed of the motor? I'm on the edge of buying it, but the only thing that holds me back is the panning speed...
Just bought this based on your review. Thanks so much. I agree that the panning is a little too slow. How often do you find yourself using the jibone one year later?
I have 2 questions. 1. When operating with a jib and head plus, let's say you program a pose that only needs the jib to turn a couple degrees, and you set to full speed for all ; will the jib and head resume normal speed after the pan pro has made it's movement? Or I suppose, do they move their usual full speed regardless? Then 2. Let's say you lock the pan pro, and only want the jib and head to move, will they move at their usual speed? My setup would be Max load. I understand this thing really slow with a jib, head plus and full frame camera and focus pro.
Thanks for your great review Stan I will receive my Pan PRO today and I’m very excited to see what’s possible. I own almost all EK products and I'm not sure if it will replace a slider as the slide is being driven in a curve.
Great review, thanks for this. Question for you, I do live streaming for funerals and we are looking at a device that we can pan the front camera remotely left and right. Will this product do this? like can you literally push left and right and it just moves a little but one way or the other? and what is the range of the device? I know you can use it on your mobile but is there a dedicated remote you can buy for this instead? Thanks in advance ;-)
Solid review - currently pondering this setup vs the slider setup ... looks like you can nearly get any motion at any angle on a sphere. With the setup and such, how much do you use the JibONE vs your slider?
It depends on the shot you want. If you need a linear slide, you need a slider. There is an arc in the jibone movement. If that arc is okay, then the jibone can do everything just fine. I have both and it comes down to which camera I want to use more than the actual equipment. The c200 is always on the slider. The r5 is always on the jibone.
Getting mine delivered today. Looking to test it with just a camera on it and see if it moves quicker. Also it will be a great edition to my JibOne as well!
Ordered my full setup during the Black Friday 30% off sale. Cant wait for it to come in. I too am a little concerned about the panning speed. Their site states it takes over a minute to complete a full 360 at full speed. I wonder if you double up the pan pros? stack them for twice the speed?
Worth is subjective. If you need a rotating jib, you need it. This is one of the one only options available to my knowledge so in that sense, it’s priceless?
Does this Setup Works with your peak design travel tripod? (I saw you used the Peak Design tripod on your other jib one video) Or what tripod would you recommend?
It does but the peak design is just a bit on the light side for such a top heavy setup. I actually prefer a manfrotto 055 or 190x better with the jibone.
Hi Thanks for super fine video. Maby it is posible to adjust the seed seperat for each motor. I "think" that is posible on the Head Plus so maby also on the Pan Pro???
I have a total of 5 LPE6 batteries powering this setup. You can use ac adapters but I find I don’t like the cables dangling from the unit when it moves. Buy some off brand batteries from Amazon and just call it a day. IMO.
Hi! I just like, and subscribed. I got the JibONE, the HeadPLUS, and a HeadONE. I can’t bundle all 3 devices, if I want to have my subject turn at the same time pan up and down. Please tell me I can make this happen if I use the PanPRO instead of the HeadONE.
... you can bundle the JibONE with the PanPRO and the HeadPLUS or the JibONE with the PanPRO and two(!) HeadONE - like I do. But you can‘t bundle a PanPRO or a HeadONE with a HeadONE ...
@@SuprUsrStan I just got a deal on a used bundle with jibone, head plus, and pan pro, as well as canon battery plates for $2800. Any tips or things to look out for?
@@hellohogo Nice! you really can't go wrong considering they have a lifetime accidental warranty. the Jibone can be a little finicky with adjustments so if you are having trouble, I'd contact tech support and they'll set you straight. It's all about the tensions and balance.
@@SuprUsrStan thanks Stan. Do you ever get the message that JibOne has stopped moving? Happened a couple times. It says tension is the issue, maybe it gets loose over time?

What tripod do you recommend to use with the JibOne?
Great video!! Thanks for sharing it, really nice and detailed!
Excellent review and very helpful. I like that you are direct and to the point and hit on the most important ways to use the system. Thanks
Yeah! This is the video that I needed! Thanks a lot
Thanks for great review. I noticed you have your headplus unit underneath as opposed to over the jib one. Any reasons, advantages/disadvantages?
Have you used the Motion box or the HeadOne? Curious how this compares to the HeadOne
Exactly what I needed! Thanks! Is the Pan Pro in stock anywhere?

I’d be curious to know how yours behave. It might be because of the extra weight that it’s moving slowly.
