This ported box was built to what Pioneer recommended. It may look big, but it's only 14" tall, 20" deep and 35" wide. After sub and port displacement, the box is right around the 1.6cf per chamber. Thanks for watching and the comment! I've always wanted to try the new Pioneers, they changed up the design, but I'm sure they perform flawlessly. This box was built before is started keeping logs of each build. I know the port width is 2", but not real sure on the length. I used (reaudio.com/info/RE_box_calculator.php) to figure this box. It's a free on line program that works well. I did individual ports, because the manufacture recommended separate chambers. Not sure about the new model tho. +Lee Coupland - I've got a few questions for ya. What type of music do you listen to? What is your amplifier gain, low pass and subsonic filter set on? How are the subs/box performing now? What type of bass are you looking for? What is the length of the L-shaped port? You said it was 4" at the end, so I'm assuming it is the same width all the way through? Thickness of box wood? Internal bracing? If you can answer most of these, we can get started my friend 👍🏽.
hi BJ, I listen to mainly rap & r & b ,dubstep & drum and bass and ocasionaly rock music hard house sometimes, amp gain is set just over half way and ive tried to match the headunit whick has 4 volt pre outs, I think my subsonic is set a couple of hz below box tune but I have to guess it as theres no numbers and I don't have a smd dd1 etc to set it propley, low pass I keep playing around with between 100 hz and 40 hz , yes the port is 4" all the way through and stops a few inches from the second sub at a guess id say its around 17" long inside the box.thickness of wood is 1" or 25mm thick.i don't have any bracing inside the box.but I have lined the bottom and all the corners that I could get to with glass fibre resin and matting.im from the united kingdom and car audio outlets are crap well they are where I live anyway.
it does kick and I'm using knukonceptz kca 0 gauge wire for power and grounds ive kept grounds short as poss and ive achieved 0.0 resistance in the grounds.150 amp alt with 0 gauge to batt from alt.it still hurts my electrical system ! sometimes I get the subs over exerting and make a fart noise but I don't have any port noise but sometimes it sounds like I do.
Most likely 32 or 34, is there a big difference in them? And i currently have a 2.5 cu ft. Box. Tuned to 35hz, But im not sure if i should put it in that box since the recommended specs are 1.6, but i see alot of people having bigger boxes for their subs and it sounds fine. Can you help me out please?
+Jesse Galindo -Not real sure how it will respond in a box that size. I don't think it will hurt it, tho. I've ran a Kicker comp in a ported box that was too small and it sounded good. I'd try it out, just to see how it does.

Thanks for watching my vid bro 👍🏽. I'd be glad to help design a box for ya. Please keep in mind, I am not a professional, by any means. I do build boxes for people in my home town and surrounding areas. This is a hobby for me and something I do for fun. As long as your cool with that, I'll give it a shot...... 1. What are the maximum dimensions, of the area, you are putting the box? 2. Do you want the port facing the same side as the subs? 3. What tuning frequency do want the box? .....and anything else you can think of, that I have left out. Thanks again 👌🏾
Do by any chance have access to a box chevy caprice if so thats where it is goin in and I would also want the port on the side or maybe the bottom as far tuning I have no idea that part
No I sure don't, but I will try and get ahold of one of my homeboys and see if he can locate one, I can measure up. What type of music do you listen to? This will help determine the box tuning. Do you want the subs facing up towards the trunk lid, back towards the tail lights or forward towards the back seat?

Internal bracing? If you can answer most of these, we can get started my friend 👍🏽.
hi BJ, I listen to mainly rap & r & b ,dubstep & drum and bass and ocasionaly rock music hard house sometimes, amp gain is set just over half way and ive tried to match the headunit whick has 4 volt pre outs, I think my subsonic is set a couple of hz below box tune but I have to guess it as theres no numbers and I don't have a smd dd1 etc to set it propley, low pass I keep playing around with between 100 hz and 40 hz , yes the port is 4" all the way through and stops a few inches from the second sub at a guess id say its around 17" long inside the box.thickness of wood is 1" or 25mm thick.i don't have any bracing inside the box.but I have lined the bottom and all the corners that I could get to with glass fibre resin and matting.im from the united kingdom and car audio outlets are crap well they are where I live anyway.
it does kick and I'm using knukonceptz kca 0 gauge wire for power and grounds ive kept grounds short as poss and ive achieved 0.0 resistance in the grounds.150 amp alt with 0 gauge to batt from alt.it still hurts my electrical system ! sometimes I get the subs over exerting and make a fart noise but I don't have any port noise but sometimes it sounds like I do.
i recently got a pioneer 12" champion series pro, can you please give me the dimmensions for only 1 subwoofer of these? using 3/4" mdf
Cool! What tuning are you shooting for?
Most likely 32 or 34, is there a big difference in them? And i currently have a 2.5 cu ft. Box. Tuned to 35hz, But im not sure if i should put it in that box since the recommended specs are 1.6, but i see alot of people having bigger boxes for their subs and it sounds fine. Can you help me out please?
+Jesse Galindo -Not real sure how it will respond in a box that size. I don't think it will hurt it, tho. I've ran a Kicker comp in a ported box that was too small and it sounded good. I'd try it out, just to see how it does.
+Bj Hammon ok thanks sounds good, ima give it a try and get back with you. when you built your box, is there any software you used? for example Winisd. or did you just calculate the cu ft.?
+Jesse Galindo -I'll keep an eye out for ya. I use, the12volt.com and Rockford Fosgate app, on my phone. Thanks for commenting 👌🏾

The pioneer TS-W3003d4 manual indicates a 3 diameter tube as the vent. Not an open space like the one your have made.
rederatv those aren't ts-w3003d4
They are TS-W3002d4
How many cubic ft and what's it tuned to?
Right around 1.6 pet chamber and each tuned to 34hz.

Is any way you could design me a sub box for three of these sub with one port if possible
I would rather have them facing the taillights and i also listen to rap and r&b,blues and where bout are you located I stay Wichita Falls, TX
Cool,
I live in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. It's about 45 minutes south of Tulsa, on HWY75. I'll start working on this, once I get the measurements from the Caprice. I will keep you posted 👍🏽. If you have any further questions, just let me know.

Hello .. Good evening! I'm doing a project and I'd like to know if you could send me the cutoffs so I can make one of these here where I live. Grateful for the attention and hope you can help me!
Rodrigo Nunes - Thanks for watching and the question. I currently do not have the cutouts for this box anymore. If you get me the measurements of the area your box will go, I can figure you a cutout sheet.
Ok friend, it's because I live in an interior here in Brazil (paracuru / CE.) And in my project I'm doing I'll use two pioneers of this model, I would see around here if in any sawmill around here, I make this box ... I have a wood here that can serve I think kkk. More will be missing two pieces. Anyway thank you very much for the attention and I really liked the video, it gives you a sense of how I will do here! Good night and stay with God, my friend!
I'm using google to translate kkkk
