You forgot the OHIO UNIVERSITY BOBCATS! The program has produced some great QB’s Recently. Nathan Rouke had an amazing rookie year in Canada, went to Jax, & back in Canada now. His baby brother left Ohio for Indiana & has led the Hoosiers to their best start since 1967 (6-0). Plus, don’t forget Tyler Tettleton, son of Mickey Tettleton HOF MLB player for the Tigers.
Sun Belt (southeast), MWC (west), and even C-USA (mostly southeast minus the soon to be leaving UTEP and NMSU) are all still pretty regional too. Only G5 that isn’t is the American, which even then is still pretty southeastern
@@natethegreatgaming9196 Stop joking. I was eager to see if Jordan Lynch can compete in the pros. I was not entirely impressed by the 2014 QB drafted. Some undrafted QBs are pro. Bears did have a chance at Juice Williams in 2010, didn't last long in the pro.
Jordan Lynch was one of my favorite QBs for his class. But the Bears immediately switched him to HB. And idk if Nate is making a joke or we just legitimately remember things differently but he was not good at HB in the preseason. He ran a 4.76 40 and had already taken a lot of abuse at school. He did make it to the CFL for 7 games though.
@@lucasmcculley4928It can both be true that Edelman was the last Kent State QB drafted (he was) and that he got drafted as/to play another position (he did). It just looks like a lack of research went into the video because it wasn’t specified that the player had to be drafted as a QB, and there was another example of a MAC QB that changed positions in the NFL, Edelman just did it a lot sooner.
You left my Alma Mater, Ohio, off the list!? And like others have said, Julian Edelman was the K State QB drafted. He just never played QB in the next level. Watched him lose to Ohio one year and he was amazing to watch his athleticism
Charlie Batch had the strangest career haha. I like him though, and I think he belongs on the list of all time backup quarterbacks. Every time Big Ben would get injured, Charlie would go in and execute just fine. Respect 🫡
This is a cool video since I've been a College Football fan since Ncaa Football06 dropped but I'm casual player who hop from conference and find myself looking into the teams Records and find myself wondering who was the last Big Name guys from some school so i Go digging...but this was Cool since my last RTG i was at Akron
Western michigan had Tim Hiller after his junior year todd mcshay had him ranked is the 2nd best QB in the country but he blew out both his knees and made Tom Brady look like Mike Vick in the 40 at the combine

Do this video for other group of 5 conferences. I would love to see sun belt
when was the last time a group of 5 school had the top draft prospect at each position
teams who won national championships the season after legendary QBs left for the NFL (BYU, Tenn, USC, etc)
The history of Tulsa football
The 2011 BCS national title race

Kent state had a qb named Julian Edelman drafted in 2009. No one probably has heard of that guy though

Future MAC member U-Mass had the recently deceased Greg Landry who played for the Detroit Lions.

MACtion was a pain in the ass for parking, but now that I'm a graduate I can appreciate it

NIU had Jordan Lynch go pro undrafted and he should have been a QB.

Yeah! The Dawgfather Coach Don James made your video. Coaching at Kent State before he came to Washington.
Dan Lefevor still holds the record for the most Touchdowns (rushing or passing) in D1 FBS history
Maybe MAC history but Case Keemun has more passing TDs than Lefevour has total TDs

Can’t forget about Ohio Bobcats the Mac is owned by Ohio
Ohio has been to five MAC Championship games since 1997 and lost every time. How is that “owning the MAC”?
