When you go to blow your nose out after it getting broken the air generated in the lungs that tries to go out your nose can't fully escape. That's because the break in the nose therefore the air goes into the area around the eyes.

@Spited it's not air, it's fluid. Happens anytime there is swelling in the sinus cavity and someone forces the pressure to the eye. When a cold press is used, it forces the fluid into other sinuses. The second Cowboy blew his nose, I jumped out of my seat yelling at him. A second later my outburst was justified. DO NOT BLOW YOUR NOSE IN A FIGHT IF YOU FEEL SINUS PRESSURE.
