  • OW2 is the HARDEST FPS of them all to aim in, yet has the FEWEST resources on how to actually improve your aim of them all. Thankfully, Coach Spilo has friends in high places, bringing on Coach Psev (professional mechanics and movement coach) to breakdown tips and tricks for better aim in OW2, and a whole lot of talk about positioning and winning 1v1s as well!

    15:04 wow I have been doing that for a while without really realizing it when I play zarya.
    When there is nothing against me that can headshot me and they don't have enough burst damage to kill me I often don't strafe at all and just focus on tracking.
    Like for instance when the only 2 things alive against me is a ana who is mechanically very good and a moira and there is a torb turret shooting at me there is no point at all to try and dodge because they will have a very very high chance to apply their damage anyways and the torb turret won't miss either way.
    Ofcourse this only applies when not near cover and you gotta take in account the respawns they have if they have a widow shot available if she grapples out of spawn you don't want to be standing still.
    I'm not sure if it is the correct thing to do in this case but it seems to work well for me.

    • @lamptowel
      @lamptowel 4 месяца назад

      In that case you should strafe to maximize damage you deal, you should be mirroring them to minimize the amount you need to aim

    how would u recommend strafing against an ana playing genji point blank? In my eyes, it is as easy for both characters to hit shots, so im not too sure about mirroring. Ive looked at some pro vods but havent really been able to arrive at a conclusion. also for kiriko, i hate playing against kiriko. Thanks!

    • @StormcrowProductions
      @StormcrowProductions  Год назад +1

      The ana is more likely not to mirror in the 1v1, as it's likely the Genji who is more in a "hurry" to finish the 1v1 as the Ana is more likely to receive help than vice versa- same probably applies to Kiriko. So, as a Genji player, probably mirror would be my best guess.

      @@psevpsevpsev as the ana or as the genji?

    • @psevpsevpsev
      @psevpsevpsev Год назад +5

      @@StormcrowProductions Ana and Genji.
      Ana: you are at the disadvantage and want to even the playing field with the Genji, + the range you are playing at, because its so close, the Genji would easily kill you if you strafe aim.
      Genji: Dodge because the range you are playing at is so close, strafe aim becomes less useful. If the Ana is going to be dodging, you can't really strafe aim that super well, especially if it's a good dodge. You instead should focus on avoiding her CDs and damage, so dodging is beneficial. Although you have the 'advantage' you need to be aware that you can still easily die, and just because you have the advantage that doesn't mean strafe aim will win you the duel.
      Strafe Aim really comes into play during situations where you have the advantage however even that is situational. You can use it more for range and poke as well as situations where the advantage is that much bigger if that makes sense, like a nano Soldier vs a regular Soldier. It's really up to you to decide if it's worth it to strafe aim situation to situation, because remember, it makes you easier to hit too.

    LGVAMP was the code for movement game?

  • @WoWbloodcrazy
    @WoWbloodcrazy Год назад +2

    I really do believe I have better Mechanics than most at least at my rank and I do believe I have good enough mechanics for at least masters in terms of mouse control, but my problem is definitely my movement. Consistently I can rewatch VoDs of my games from not only my perspective but also the enemies and over and over again I notice I have better tracking and aim overall than my opponents but... It doesn't matter because my movement is so crap, they don't need better aim. So, this is a huge thing I am trying to work on.
    Then secondly, I am trying to work on better Positioning but there is a catch 22 I have with positioning. Where I know the correct and optimal positioning I should take, but then I'm also not very high ranked at the moment, so the best positioning isn't the best because of my team's overall position and then our position is sub optimal which causes problems.
    Like I find it very interesting how differently all ranks play out overall.

    17:35 Don‘t play kovaaks or any aimtrainer for strafeaim. Play instead Tryhard-FFA or start playing aimduels (LG-DUELS, Aimbeast Arena, Soldier Duels, Sym Duels) to get a fundamental for strafe.

    • @psevpsevpsev
      @psevpsevpsev Год назад +4

      it's easier to learn the fundamentals in an aim trainer. also strafing in the options you provided is not a good idea, dodging is what you should be doing in those situations.

    • @markus-cj2rf
      @markus-cj2rf Год назад +1

      Dude xD, lg vamp is actually not good for dodge. it actually provides bad habits for dodge because you start abusing angles. The player are going angles and just trading damage (no one has actually an idea who to move). Ca lg duels are better for dodge but tbh not that great because youre just outmoving a beam. idk why you think this shit is good for dodge. I have played more than 1000h lg adhd also pushed 4600 in aimbeast arena with 95% winrate in a day (means nothing because this mode is full with nubs). I disagree with your point for sure. Gamebrowser is the better practice for overwatch and strafeaim

      @@markus-cj2rf i mean its not great for dodge but its better than other options; why would learning fundamentals where someone is strafing like a maniac with no movement accel be good for learning fundamental strafe aim? also if you have that many hours you should know that strafe aim in an LG is just gonna get you beamed.
