14:24 😮This segment on “who killed the orisa?” just blew my mind! I never thought through the events in that way. I hope I can be more impactful in my games now. GREAT VIDEO! Thank you 🙏!
fr man it’s easy to get caught up tryna kill tanks who keep getting low but keep getting healed having faith in your team to kill the tanks who have little mobility while you dive one of their supports for separation, or even another dps to take the supports’ attention off the tank is pro thinking. D.Va’s ability to reposition every 4 seconds really must be taken full advantage of. probably my favorite tip of this video
My favorite tip from spilo about the value of high ground is the ability to see what’s going on. When you’re low ground it’s hard to see shit, on high ground you can see all the moles to be whacked. Think about it, when spilo wants to show the aggression levels and the moles concept, he always zooms the camera above, to take the ultimate high ground. Seeing all the info let’s you make the easy decisions on what the best play is.
One of the best teachers I've ever listened to for OW. Your explain things so well, and I like how you ask lots of questions for us to contemplate and then give the answer.
18:03 this is why alot of metal rank players hate ball, cuz they cant play well with natural cover and they dont like that the ball is not tanking on the frontline
I just learned of you Spilo, but I love the way you look at the game. Usually I watch these videos and everything is very banal, but I felt genuinely satisfied to pick out the things you were coaching and also came to understand some things I didn't think about before.
The absolute best teacher in OW. His humility yet confidence as a top 500 player really makes the difference in his students response to criticism. Go ahead Spillo. Youre loved over here my dude 🎉
Hey Spilo, I’m looking to get into coaching myself, and was wondering how you share your screen with people, do you just use discord screen share or do you have some other program?
So a big take away is diving their back line while the rein walks forward and dies due to the enemy team focusing you cutting off rein resources. What if your team has like a widow sombra, or any other dps that are typically not close to the supports?
The widow is throwing if she lines up in front of rein shield. U gotta dive someone at the same time as Sombra and make sure u get an early kill or it's a 4v5. Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be the same target as Sombra. For instance, diving a bap with her just let's the bap get huge value out of lamp unless she starts with a hack. But if she goes on the bap while u go on the hanzo, somebody's probably not gonna get any help. Kill them fast and retreat or confirm another kill if u got the healers already
i absolutely despise ow2 dva players when im dps. dps is my lowest rank (plat 2 atm, diamond 5 peak) and 9/10 dva players play dva like rein with dm instead of shield, meaning they just soak damage and heal from their team like crazy and end up getting demeched anyways. its driving me crazy. whats the most frustrating to me is that they keep forcing dva even though they dont understand why you would play dva instead of orisa, rein or rammatra. whenever they swap to one of those they are usually doing fine.
I wish I could play dva more dive oriented but it feels like the instant I leave my team they all immediately die to one person (im literally bronze 1 and trash but thats how it feels to me lol)
0:51 I hate to ask but I understand your words but not what you mean, what do you mean In the team can't follow up since they're short distance and can walk up. Please no agro I just wanna understand and not hear you out. Thanks man. :)
I am absolutely terrible at dva but I have to learn this hero now that I’m in the higher ranks on console and they abuse high ground as a ximing hitscan dva is meta on console
15:38 why not finish killing the Ana before going for the Symettra? The Ana has no sleep and no nade. Since you have micromissiles you could secure the kill in about 1 second. To me the correct decision is to kill the Ana and then go and help the rest of the team, instead of allowing the Ana to get her sleep and her nade back while you reposition. 21:19 is a bad play 9 times out of 10. He should die there but the Ana saves him. Without the damage reduction from the Nano Boost he dies in at most two hits each from the Kiriko and the Ana.
"What did you just do?" "Okay, what SHOULD you have done?" I fucking hate this style of training or teaching, it comes off as lazy to me. The reason being: All Spilo is really doing is asking for the other guy's knowledge of a situation, and then bouncing his own viewpoint/knowledge of that situation based off of my answer. Instead, I would prefer that Spilo just do what he's there for and teach/train/give advice instead of just incessantly asking "Where are you? Are they a threat? Where should YOU be?". Stop asking me shit and just tell me what I need to do, bro.
Thank you for sharing this content and I also thank the player that allowed this coaching session to go public :)
but girls dont really play dva tho

I was easily able to push to diamond by just sitting high ground on DVA. Enemies often underestimate how much poke DVA can do from 5 meters.

@@Htiy it’s still very much happening to poor ball players every day in the lower elos even diamond+ lol
Same deal with why they don’t like supports like zen. Zen doesn’t put out enough healing to make up for a lack of skill.

Picked up OW2 3 days ago and I have had 6 hours on D.va. This was very informative and helpful!
The Q&A style really works, clever pedagogics!
Nice timing I think Dva is nicely placed in the meta atm.
Thank you for the content bro!
Great Video!
He sounds like a father helping his son with math homework
I have a question~ what should you do if the whole enemy team is grouped up together and there aren’t any squishies isolated that you can pick off?
check this review out for an in-depth discussion on that: ruclips.net/video/D68VKqCVIPs/видео.html

She's absolutely the worst bad tank to have on your team. It's what happens when a massively popular character has a difficult/unintuitive playstyle.

As in the DVA + matrix is preventing them from walking forward. She's eating all the CDs/follow up damage and doing damage to them at the same time.
What rank was this lobby?
This was a Plat/Diamond lobby!

How is it not useful?
Deva is 100% useless she looses her mech in .0000000001 seconds.
