    SORRY GUYS HUGE ERROR !!!
Becca just got round to watching our last vlog and asked me why I said it wasn't our stern gland causing the leak when it was???
It is in fact our stern gland causing the leak, but its not the standard rope re packing that it needed, our boat is fitted with a rubber seal instead of the rope so the process takes longer
For some stupid reason I thought that ment it wasn't the stern gland
We have 2 new vlogs going up again this week, monday and Thursday
Sorry again for error... suppose it just goes to show how clueless I am about our grubby little narrowboat... but I'll get there I promise
    Chrissy Crobot x

Buy a float switch and connect into you bilge pump circuit to make it automatic for peace of mind, although it’s no substitute for a good stern gland.

I just read what you said about the bladder but still not sure. You two are my hero’s taking on the challenge of this boat, and you WILL get there with it, you’ll have a beautiful boat in the end, all be it a lot poorer, but you’ll know it back to front and be able to do most of the work yourselves. So in stock car racing, when a car’s engine blows in a massive cloud of steam and smoke, is customary to pull up to them and ask “did the smoke valve let go?”
Is there an equivalent to that in narrowboating? Like asking a person if all the “one way water valves” are installed in the correct direction.
