I did cry when I saw this.... For the death of real music, whether you like this type or not. Its real. palpable, organic, and it will all be lost to time when my generation dies. These women didn't win a contest in order to form a band, but they worked their sweet asses off for years and years and years and it obviously shows.God bless them. They went after their dreams, without knowing it would work out!
+Eric Standiford oh, the death of a real music and best generation again? It's not like good old rock, metal, jazz or any other genre of music has been abandoned, killed or weakened. It still exist. It's true that some of the most popular bands are no longer with us. But there's a lot of bands out there in the world making good music and waiting for their popularity to rise, and if people will still waste their time talking things like "oh my gosh, the music is dying" or "For the death of real music" and not spend this time to find this bands the good music will truly die.
I am a female in a classic rock 80’s band and I know exactly what your saying. It’s a lot of work to play in and manage band but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I personally think Show Ya is, unfortunately, like other Japanese bands, they never made it big in the West due to the language barrier. Keiko Terada is one of those few rock singers that has an incredible voice, sounded the same live as in recordings. Had they been American, they would have been huge in the 80s.
These ladies Rocked so hard in the 80s so much talent by any measure they should have been much more famous. I feel they got underrated due to the fact that they're so stunningly gorgeous.
They’re underrated because they never got to the level of fame they could’ve achieved had they not started bickering and fighting over control of the musical direction. My mom really summed it saying “couldn’t expect to have 4 women in a group agree on anything without 2 of them getting offended” 😂
@@everythingunderthesun439 yes because stating that they failed because of their own behaviors towards each other is misogyny, what a moron. I actually quite like Vixen and wished they would’ve been able to make it further but again it was their own undoing, also I was quoting my mother I don’t think that’s misogyny either lmfao.
No auto tune no robo voice no ghost singer... no lip synch... those were the days.. now the suits who run the Industry have their mediocre shills out there and while there is still great music and world wide we have to come to youtube to find it.
youtube is so amazing! How often I have seen someone go "I haven't heard that song in decades! Not to mention the new artists ( often unsigned ) no one has heard of that one finds every night online. An audio treasure trove!
The 80's...the era of Vixen, Dokken, Great White, Whitesnake, Triumph and so many more AMAZING bands...real bands with real vocals and real talent (not some fake beauty queen lip-synching to an unknown band or singer's voice)...the current generation will never know what REAL BANDS looked like or sounded like...and that is a real shame.
They played our local high school! No joke! The kids won a Vixen appearance as part of a radio promotion! I bet they still reminisce about having to play that one backwater cowtown when they were normally hitting the civic arenas!
VIXEN was one of my very favorite bands in the 80's. (1989) I'm a METAL-MONSTERRR, and I still love this band even now!!! YOU GO, GIRLZ!!! 🌹❤️🥁🎸❤️ ROKK IN PARADISE, JAN🤘😇
From what experience I've had bassing in bands, girl drummers are really great. They just seem to have great accuracy and instinct for "organising" the band through the rhythms. Rock on, ladies.
This song sounded a lot better live than in the studio. I never liked the version on the Vixen album much, but the live one on their compilation album was absoutely superb, as is this one. Great song and wonderful playing by all of them
We need these Ladies to rise up again. We need them to educate the youth of today as to what proper fuckin' Rock/Metal is all about. They know what it is.
That solo...ubber freakin' awesome! Why don't we have women like this anymore?! Back then, women were women, man were men. Not mixed dumb-nuts with no talent or character, like "artists" today.
Ohh, i miss all that kind of music from the 80s. I hate the actual music, that isn't music.. I want you to rock me, roll me, learn to control me. Vixen is greaaat, i love that song.
I just had to come back and see Jan do it again. This is an amazing live video and she is looking all bad ass and beautiful as always. I surely hope she found peace before her passing. I often wonder if her teammates ever come to see her play in videos like this one during this period. I never seen her in person or life but sure can hear her loud and clear. Thank you Jan, for as long as I'm alive you will never be forgotten and please rest peacefully.
Man I loved this band back in the day, Janet's voice was amazing.Saw them live at The Hummingbird in Birmingham in the UK around 1990 and they absolutely smashed it.
Yeah Vixen were HOT!I'm glad I was able to see them play LIVE.Really sexy in all that leather close-up,damn now that was a awesome concert, got the T-shirt etc,,for that show.
the only radio station i have found that plays 80's, 70's, 60's...well good music is "GOLD" but they don't play this kind of thing...it really is a shame that the kids of today don't get a chance to hear when music was at its best. now-a-days people consider bands like "bring me the horizen" to be rock...they havnt got a clue
A billion times better than the crap we have to endure these days .❤❤❤
Vixen was one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. Brings back a lot of memories hearing their stuff again. Love it!
For sure. I feel the same way about autograph.
that's right, Vixen, one of the greatest bands of the 80's, they were great hard rock artists
Loved Vixen! Especially Roxy!

Eric Standiford New bands could easily imitate old bands easily if they tried...but radio is really biased.
I'm just a teenager but I feel where you coming from, and I pray for this world when the last real rock band dies.
This kind of stuff hasn't never died, it's just not on mainstream levels now
I am a female in a classic rock 80’s band and I know exactly what your saying. It’s a lot of work to play in and manage band but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Probably the best female hard rock band.
Girlschool rocked as well
Yeah nah not even close. Great music but singing is crap
@@garyjackson4034 really singing is crap give me a break dude wow just wondering what your thinking here let's hear your peeps who are better

Absoutely 100% correct.
I agree!

I do not know why this group didn't get more recognition...they should have been up there with Joan Jett and heart and the like
I'm so lucky to have front row seats at their concert this year. Omg. They're still amazing. So sweet ladies. ❤
