Taking some inspiration from the recent HBO show House Of The Dragon, could we actually create our own dragon?
Well the characteristics that define a dragon do exist in some shape or form in nature. So all that remains is developing a way of combining these into a single entity.
In the past decades considerable advancements have been made in the realm of genetic manipulation and engineering. This might hold the key to creating our own dragon. Наука
maybe the flight can be achieved in large sizes with strong but light compounds like graphine, this way a giant creature could exist being not that heavy
CRISPR with:
Komodo Dragon 🐲 (for Reptile look🦎)
Fruit Bat 🦇 (for Flight ✈️)
Bombardier Beetle 🪲 (for flames 🔥)
@@henryokoro3140I feel like for flight bird DNA would be best for bone structure due to the bones being fairly hollow in the middle but still strong enough and light enough to get the whole body off the ground
Colossal Bioscience is working on De-Extinction of Animal like Dodo, Mammoth. If they want they can make it real. Look at their official channel.
It's always Quetzalcoatlus the biggest flying reptile is hagzegopteryx while Quetzalcoatlus was the second
FYI: A dragon is a magical legendary creature that appears in the folklore of multiple cultures worldwide. Beliefs about dragons vary considerably through regions, but dragons in Western cultures since the High Middle Ages have often been depicted as winged, horned, and capable of breathing fire. Dragons in eastern cultures are usually depicted as wingless, four-legged, serpentine creatures with above-average intelligence. Commonalities between dragons' traits are often a hybridization of feline, reptilian, mammalian, and avian features. Some scholars believe large extinct or migrating crocodiles bear the closest resemblance, especially when encountered in forested or swampy areas, and are most likely the template of modern Asian dragon imagery.
Why not methane which is available in stomach just like cows and humans. And electrical spark from organs similar heart or even from spine. There are also animals that has evolved to be fire resistant or resistant to heat.
For scales, it would be keratin or teeth with iron similar to beavers
I think that could work, there possibilities are endless. They’re a couple cool takes in the comments.
Obviously we are still in the realm of science fiction.
True
It could have a skull and throat entirely cased in bone internally to resist the heat from the fire

Maybe we can even get different dragons that can breathe different elements like lightning for how to train your dragon friends of like ice, for like I don’t know people who live in hot climates, and maybe some could be used for military purposes, Maybe even some dragons with more than one head
Ice is probably the most realistic one if we include httyd, but it has made many very good fire breathing dragons along with the rules for them.
I think it would be more realistic if we made a dragon like this on a smaller scale such as a skink unlike dragons in fantasy. I also think that we could remove the fire breathing as it could cause internal harm to the reptile. But besides that I loved this video!
You could engineer a lizard embryo with inclusion of hoz genes to produce the wings or second pair of legs on a bird embryo.
Condors
Can we not add the fire breathing part.
I have a question I don't know if you will respond or not but can we create a dragon by help of biotechnology size of a bird it doesn't need to be big but can it be created
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
Good point, If we make something smaller we could probably get over the square-cubed law limitations.
Theoretically we have lots of tools to manipulate genetics and they’re being used constantly in research. This video was having a a fun hypothetical exploration of the potential of this technology.
Let's mention Colossal Bioscience, they could make it real.
I'm going to try that
In Japan my zodiac sign being a Gemini means a water dragon
They could be created but only if omes up to flying reptiles or birds sized bodies also it can only 4 limbs wyrms but not 6 inc wings dragons advanced genetic and cybernetics skin on wings must large surface area not a silly limbs no skin
