- I travel 3.5 hours to meet Boyce and scout out a rock mark in north east England .Hopefully ill catch a few fish on the lure for my first time. watch to find out. (i done my best to edit out wind and completely cut some sections of audio)
Have fished brigg both boat and shore for over 50yrs a top mark but beware any swell stay clear round the back between the two ladders black hole green rock lives have been lost you can fish of cliff top Ben storrys high nab etc good down end on big ebbs bait fishing soft crab mussel worm squid etc rough ground if you don’t like losing gear stay away Yorkshire shore caught record cod was landed on brigg end 33lb I was lucky to watch it been weighed Jan 70 if conditions are unsafe you can fish into bay side shallow and not as rocky

One off the best fishing places in the summer get some nice size wrasse and pollock good for cod in winter on the side or low tied on the point there’s a little on the mark mate

Yeah bro it’s a one in a kind mark can bring some good fish in the summer on lures and spinners depending on what you going for the winter is better on bait but if you go on the part where the rocks and beach there’s a little path down the side and get some bass on lures in the winter and summer

Yeah mate it’s the best time I’ve had. 8ld pollock. 6ld wrasse 9ld bass biggest cod in the winter is 11ld so there’s some nice size fish in numbers and species you couldn’t ask for anything better and mackerel but last year wasn’t the best so hope this year is better for the mackerel but it’s a good mark and the ladders are off to the left half way down the path on the top it the path

THE BRIG not the best place to go if you dont know your way around you can get get cut off by the sea spent a number of days on there as used to go down there on holiday
I soon found that one out 😄, Completely agree.we took all saftey precautions like life jacket and radios and also quite abit of research. I should of got there at high tide and fished it to low in my opinion. I would of had more time to scout about
