Hans Klaar - Ontong Java II - Saidisale

Chiuso il 2021 con una esperienza davvero entusiasmante, a Fuerteventura (Canarie), dove ho conosciuto Hans Klaar, marinaio svizzero ecosostenibile e dove ho navigato sulla sua Ontong Java II, conosciuta nel mondo anche come OJII, un’imbarcazione di 75 piedi a vela “crab claw” (vela triangolare) totalmente in legno, fatta da lui, sulla spiaggia del Gambia. Era il 2012, quando ha coronato il suo nuovo sogno e ora, vi racconto la sua storia:

when I had the pleasure of sailing with him in the Canary Islands, we favored tailwinds. Considering the type of boat, going upwind is possible but not so much, as also happens with a catamaran... it was a great life experience ahahaha
