@Lucas Not Here I mean not really. The run was not really 100% perfect. TAS is the hypothetical fastest run. Tho this run is definitely almost fully perfect and optimized.

I GASPED when koschei did the spell pogo in isma's room, i feel like that simplified the difficulty of the whole sequence there- the run seems actually viable!
I think it is viable. Northirn said the skip before with the hwurmp is probably doable and I am pretty sure that one can get the stall ball quite consistent, because it is not hard to an extent where it is just random. Also iirc Yihou is trying that route which makes me pretty confident we will see runs with that route.
Wow, the QGA room without crystal dash takes only 8.72s compared to 8.8s (Pest's run) with crystal dash (albeit charging up again for cDash through next room). From QGA to transition before mantis fight is 26.75s vs 23.32s (with cDash). Really shows how much time this route saves when only looking at 3 rooms cDash already saves 3 secs.
THIS IS SO COOL!!!! I’m so excited to see some runners actually attempt this route 👀 geez I’m excited for silksong but I hope that even after it comes out we keep seeing awesome things like this as the runs improve!!!
I think there is an issue: at 5:54 Soul is gained through the room transition which is used on spells in the next room. There are a few other places where this happens but I think that this is the only significant one.
3 hits after the first baldur and 6 in the tall room. We were counting the hits done to ensure the amount of soul had when it needs to be used is possible. (Same with geo)
One third of the soul meter have been obtained at the end of mount, in that vertical climb they actually only need to get 2/3 of the soul meter which they did.
If you want a good look at how all the soul works out, you can see the spreadsheet linked in the description. If there's any inconsistencies you spot despite that, let us know.

Interesting. I saw the idea for this route a while ago (before stall ball). It was considered unrealistic with a large rng component (needing the whermps to spawn in the perfect location) and it also required full soul, with either of these going wrong = dead run. I always considered it cool and I can't wait for people to start doing it now. With stall ball's introduction though, this finally can be done more reliably by us mere mortals. Has a route been considered like in Any% Steel Soul where you grab tram pass? It would skip the trek from Ancestral Mound to Dream Nail as well as Queen's Gardens but would add in more Deepnest and going to Dream Nail through the right side of city. You could use the bottom tram as a S+Q spot to grab Monarch Wings, then Isma's, then Dream Nail and then Herrah which would be nicer for real runs because you do the skips earlier
I have some questions 1. Why do speedrunners upslash the “walls” in king’s pass but this segmented run doesn’t? Does it make a difference when you upslash? 2. Why do speedrunners fall in the dream nail room in the dream realm but this segmented run doesn’t?
you can randomly get a soft-fall from that breakable platform but it’s rng so most speedrunners go for consistency and upslash the ceiling and land on the platform slightly before

@@waffthewaffle Two cycle Uumuu is not just hard, it’s completely rng since you need uumuu to do a certain pattern of attacks to get them in the right position to do enough damage.
