its not a new game mode. it was called quickplay before and they changed it to soul suvivor a few months ago already. this mode plays more similar to a battle royal whereas the main game mode bounty hunt is a PvPvE extraction shooter with boss fights
I was very pleased to see that even Low settings look good AND it improves performance tremendously. But I would suggest to try increasing settings until you hit the sweet spot of quality and performance.
New map is FIRE, I remember the dev saying the wanted to have more player engagements and I definitely notice WAY more fights happening on this map, sometimes it can feel like all out war with teams converging. Love what they've done there. It needs optimisation though, I run a 3070ti and can still get close to 32fps whereas I normally sit at 90-100 in OG hunt, but that will come with time with the new engine. I really do love what they've done with compounds and the verticality of the map, there's always a hidden way into some compound or a sneaky hole in the roof or wall to break through meaning defenses cant be EVERYWHERE as before. They did however really fuck up the UI by making it more console friendly.. I see the vision, but it really needs to be decluttered and fixed in a few ways, as in I hate that I can't see my teammates loadouts from the menu (at least not easily, anyone else seen how?) and if I do want to see loadouts, I have to go to the pause screen in game and choose "My Team". Also, I miss seeing my team mates free hunter names. Small detail, but made for a good laugh and lore if they survived.
This is why i love doing videos like this. Just to get other perspectives and feedback is so Dope! you mentioned the fights, have you noticed a big difference in those other player encounters? also 3070ti 30 fps wtf? i assume 4k dlss off?
@@FrissYT I have i5 11th rtx3050 16gb and on lowest fullhd around 50-60 on new map and I get 80/90-100+ on older maps... not so good for me. On the other hand on ps5, textures are flat and plastic like ( '__' )
Yeah gameplay additions and map are great as always. The UI rework, all that time for nothing improved. Shoulda just add drag and drop and reduce a few clicks for setting up the hunter and optionally beautify it. Not that hard
similar setup minus the monitor (I went with an MSI MAG because it has built in light/dark room detection in game and will make it where you can see better in dark rooms without it washing out with Gamma) and over 200hours in the game perspective: DLSS I just turned off because it's easier to spot people when it's crisp. Motion Blur, Depth of Field I turn off always. DLSS Quality looked good, but harder to get those long shots off where you are looking for people in bushes. Field of View I don't go quite that high just because when you ADS you can see more clearly if it is lower. In the past render distance I would turn to low because it basically wouldn't render some walls and you could watch people even if you couldnt hit them (havent noticed it in this new map, though, so you can leave it up), your biggest performance hits are shadows, lighting, water, etc. In NVIDIA settings, turn up digital vibrance a bit to make the color differences stand out better. If you have a decent card, you can leave all textures all the way up. I never get close to VRAM max except on my 3060 laptop (8 GB) so as long as you have more than 8, you should be good. 4090 desktop, no issues.
7:37 I kept rewinding to get the time stamp just to keep watching and hear you say that it was a bad lag lmfao Idk if they messed with the lighting and shadows or if that’s a user preference, but it looked really nice
Hey! Me too i also have 4090 with i9-14900k. My settings on highest graphics in native 70-80fps. With quality dlss 110-130fps with some drops to 90 in mines. Tell me how He have so much diffrence?
Hi Remember this is 21:9 3440x1440p Resolution. I should probably plug in my 4k monitor and see if the difference is that much between 21:9 and 16:9 The game is unoptimized. So looking at a town will tank your FPS vs looking at just the forest or an empty space. i'll get a 40-70 FPS difference depending on what you look at. If you have the same monitor, double check your XMP profiles and thermals/power delivery, make sure you aren't getting throttled there. otherwise if it's NOT the resolution, i'm really not sure without a little more info on what your cpu running at/GPU etc. If you got XMP profiles and whatnot. (i downloaded the Driver that came out like few days before Hunt released Version: 560.81) Hope that helps!
i would HIGHLY recommend. at first i thought nha it can't be that good. and it'll be a downgrade from 4k. while yes clearly goes down SLIGHTLY. everything else outweighs that. Im not into e sports i play other games survival mmo, FPS here and there....and for all of those it's just so much better. the curve. the field of view....getting UI elements further out of the way so you can see the game behind. i could go on and on i love it. If you ever feel yourself having to choose between one or the other, at least TRY one for a week. For professional work/esports probably still use regular monitor, but for everything else ultrawide! at the end of the day it's all personal preference.
yo that's actually good info please let me know.....ima guess with dlss quality, around 100? but yeah let me know i also don't know if they went for the new DLSS or the older version.

I did a countertest. So we have basically the same fps. I was also on the same spot where u have been on the map. 5fps here and there. OBS is s*cking around 15fps +-. Insane how good the 10900k still is.
Maybe a borderless vs full screen issue. Make sure to minimize afterburner not close it. Also set a keybind to show and hide the statistics, turn that on and off while in game.
