Take care of her?? Really?? Look at how he’s treating her now. He’s undeserving! Only one proper answer so far...get a tractor and a chain! Why burn out the clutch by rocking it. His daddy must have give him the truck.
My mistake. The 3406 PC did have glow plugs in the injector adapters. Other versions of the 3406 did not as well as other heavy duty diesels from that era. As a driver myself i admit my mistake.
Should've kept at it, forwards and reverse, over and over. The ol' girl wasn't even properly bogged, mate. Roll yourself a nice solid pad and be out in no time. Btw, nice rig, keep 'er 3406 cat, can't go wrong.✌🙂👍
when front wheels get stuck your gonna have a bad time... but you have to rock it backward and forwards and use higer gears.. This truck looks very cool!! shame we dont have them in europe...
By joe, this video has inspired me to go out and do a cold start on my 2012 T660. I just got home a half hr ago, and it 90 degrees out but I’ll be sure to let the glow plugs cycle for awhile. My truck has a Cummins isx six zero zero in it.
Be gentle guys, everyone needs to learn from their mistakes, and at least he is in a field. WE that said you can use the rear wheels that spin to winch you out.
It's the front end that always gets you bogged down, especially on a bobtail tractor. Grab the intelligent end of a shovel and dig that front axle out.
That's a tidy ol flat top, luv those old button tufted interiors. You probably know by now that a 3406-B doesn't actually have glow plugs. When you get em stuck you need to rock them out so you don't dig a grave.
Yea I remember those ole buzzers. My dad had a blue 79 Pete, 400 Cummins with a 13 over. Rode many summers and miles with my ole man. Wish I could have just one more.
No it wouldn't its a cool old truck but this dude dont really know what he's doing go to truck driving school or and diesel mechanic school make sum money
God damn super truckers are all pissed off that you got it stuck, I mean seriously? You're telling me you've never gotten a vehicle stuck in your whole life?!? They're probably jealous cause you've got a badass new cabover.
Hey there's a thing out there that's called shovel dig out around the front tires it might work sometimes in life you got to be smarter than the equipment you operate
Hasn’t moved , it’s a swamp. I hired the best tow truck driver in the state and he got his truck stuck there too. Two trucks stuck to this day. The earth will eventually reclaim them.
I know that. I'm joking around. Those are great trucks, I used to drive one. Hope he's enjoying it and learning as he goes, but a little good humored ribbing never hurt anyone.
Hello, that is a beautiful truck...if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for her and are you using for everyday OTR work or show truck? Thank you.
Everyones gotta start somewhere. Its the love of old rigs and the will to post the fuckups on the internet to all see that counts. That said now dig them tires out and give her hell. As a chip truck driver that has spent many hours out in muddy orchards theres nothing like a big diesel engine singin through the mud.
As a practicing ornithologist, I will gladly translate the unintelligible bird chirping in the background: Cardinal: Hey Harry, you believe this clown? You think he's going to lock those axles? Bluejay: Ehh, doubtful Steve. He's still looking for the glow plugs. But don't tell him anything, Valerie plans on using his intakes to build a nest for the kids this spring. It seems like a safe place. This moron will never get it out of here this season. Cardinal: Oh why didn't you tell me? We've been letting the kids shit all over his windshield and headache rack. Bluejay: No worries, guano market is up. And even with a tow truck, he's not going anywhere. It'll take him 6 months to figure out that blue valve on the air brakes. Probably thinks that blue valve activates the glow plugs... Cardinal: Maybe he can float it out when those saddle tanks rip off or rupture from dragging them.
@@damagicmaker1 I've heard the real complication sets in if you bring a northern hemisphere truck below the equator. The Axles start to spin in opposite directions, eventually shortening the wheelbase by several inches due to compression. If my memory serves me correctly, that's what the sliding axles were for. Same option package that the glow plugs came with.
Yea, no doubt, true true and also... verrrry hard on the muffler bearings also, with the excessive compression going on ! Mind you... if you get the chrome reverse fufu valve calibrated correctly, well... then all your problems are solved! Yrmv :)
When your in a fix like that you do this, shovel in front of the front tires about 5 feet. Then let air out of all the drivers untill they have 50 lbs each. Then drive it out to good ground, and air up the drivers. If you don't have a air compressor, hook a hose up to the truck air tank.
With some elbow grease and put a little money into it, it would make a great truck I think. I've seen a lot of trucks with over a million miles on them still doing hard work every day. Listening to the engine, it started right up &, it sounds good, but has some black smoke when the RPM is higher, but that may be from sitting or it's running a bit rich, set it back a bit unless it pings then. Add fuel stabilizer & Anti Gel too.
What’d you do, buy a truck like you use to see when you were a kid? Never heard anybody call a Cat 3406 a three four zero six. Ever thought about locking your diff.
Just transform to optimus prime and walk out of that mess
Optimus prime was a peterbilt in truck form
DONT PAY ATTENTION TO THESE HATTERS HERE. YOU DO YOU AND LOVE WHAT YOUR DOING YOUNG MAN.

One of my favorite trucks.
Ps, there's also a high reverse, after 20 years hauling grain from fields I've had my fair share of stuck truck moments.
All you goddamm super truckers bashing this guy for getting stuck. It's his truck. I did the same in my k100, who gives a fuck.
CHRIS BROESKY agree with you broke I have a long nose pete 379 and I've got it stuck

Great video, While your changing the glow plugs, Don't forget to check the s cams on the Jake breaks
You're not trying hard enough driver, rock that thing back and forth!
You had the balls to put this upload this video for our entertainment and to get picked to pieces by all these armchair experts.

Engine sounds musical everytime from that caterpillar engine. Should have few planks to get it out in the first try itself.
Poor Kenworth, looking good and ready to go but stuck in the mud. Lay some girders down for it ride on.
Its January 2019 are you still there trying to get that 87 KW unstuck?
I have that same motor in a 1991 kenworth w900 recognize the turbo sound and everything beautiful.
Would it sound weird if I said I think that truck is beautiful and I want one just like it for no practical reason at all?
No it wouldn't its a cool old truck but this dude dont really know what he's doing go to truck driving school or and diesel mechanic school make sum money
Rumor has it he’s still trying to get out
Piece. Of. Gold
Have the camera guy push. He ain't doing anything but making us all seasick with his filming skills anyway.
At least he is gentle with the machine.
Some nervous one could have burned the clutch in 3 minutes...like I did to my 4x4.

She's got a B model CAT. Of course it fired right up. Good idea cycling those glow plugs, fella. SMFH
Cabovers built in the US of A are the best semis no guaranteed. Customize it anyway, it’s still looks cool.
Yes. Let off as soon as it starts moving. Good plan
I think she has 'bottomed out' on the ground below -- definitely a tow truck needed here.
I could have gotten that out in a second. You have to feel the truck.
Now mr kenworth, where did rob touch you on this doll?

Then he called me a dirty old bitch.
Lol✌🤣👍
Were all better off that he is stuck in the field, and not on the road, he has no idea what he is doing.
Rodney Pekarek THAT K W. NOW THAT'S A REAL TRACTOR!!!!
a lot of those older trucks only had power dividers but no difflocks.
Yup, my tractor ain't gettin not traction, an I can't get no action
He did a poor job at trying to rock it out
Why did he not have both diffs locked? Does it not have a power divide?
when you got stuck you have to turn the wheels straight so you can utilize little more traction to the rear wheels
One of my favorite trucks next to the Freight liner.
I don't see many of those cabovers out on the roads anymore like I used to back in the day.
Well yeah, since the length limit was abolished in 1982..........
Nice model rig truck my favorite!!..
Was hoping to watch you pump your diesel like the super Duty. Lol. No skate kicks this time either lol. Glad to see you back
+gunnlover we can get some pumping in the next one lol
+redneckman454 just like old times! Hahaha!
pumping with boots and I hope the truck will be hard to start.
Love the sound of the meadowlark
Glad to see you took the keys out so no one could steel it.... lol Nice ride
A little bit of shoveling behind the front wheels would get you out much faster. Dig first, rock it later.
The trucks not stuck. You are
Reverse only option front bumper is like a snow plow
Glow plugs?🤔🤨🤨😑😑

A bit of shoveling wouldn’t go astray 🤷🏻♂️
Reverse.. brake at the furthest point you get.. put in 2nd, go.. that was simple to get out of.
That was frustrating to watch. Nice rig though.

Isn't it a orginal #1 key chain! Should glow in the dark too!
Two things.
1. What glow plugs
2. Know what that blue knob is for?
Why wouldn't it get stucked? When you had those little bald tires on offroad.
