Saw Dianne Reeves many moons ago. She did a number in one of the tracks of Sarah Vaughan's I Love Brazil album (just can't quite remember the name of the song on top of my head) but she did it without a microphone singing acapella. Her voice just resonated inside the concert hall. It was amazing

But she wont go anywhere unless she creates her own songs to carve her identity. .Top notch for me among the Filipina singers are Morisette Amon and Julie San Jose. Morisette her vocal agility, Julie Ann San Jose her vocal quality and prowess. Between the two i prefer Julie Ann San Jose she is more of a complete package.. You know when both of them are really damn good, you look for other factors in the selection process.
