This is one of my favorite performances of Gigi Vibes. I heard the original of this song about 20 yrs ago & loved it. It by Diane Reeves who is a multi-Grammy award winner in the jazz scene. It's been covered by a few Filipino singers as well. However, it was only after I heard Gigi sing this song that I understood what the song was about. It's bc she's such a good story teller.

Oh I love the message of this song. If you listen to Gigi well enough, she pronounces every word of the song clearly, expressions and all. She's a great story teller and tells us a story through the song of a grandma and her grand child who'd often asks lot of questions before sleep but not once did her grandma ever turned her away because of her so many questions. And the lesson and nuggets of wisdom she imparted to her grand child which until she was all grown up, in her head she'll still hear her grandma say:
You can't get to no better days

You got to make it through the night
There's just so much life wisdom in this song and Gigi through her singing was able to clearly convey it to the listeners effectively.
