Angela seemed like she didn’t get on board with the whole disingenuous compliments. She became a mood killer later on. I actually find it an interesting concept.

Okay but what about when you have major anxiety attacks CAUSED by flirting? Like I have had MANY bad experiences with people when they flirt with me. My body goes completely stiff, my mind shuts down, I cant breathe and all I hear in my head is 'Dont notice me' repeated over and over. It's terrifying and it happens anytime someone takes romantic, or especially sexual, interest in me

What do you think will happen if someone notice you at that situation?

@@swedensufal I'm not entirely sure. All I know is that I dont know How to handle romantic or sexual attention, my body and mind just paralyzes with pure fear

@@adrianlove7424 Do you fear that you may behave wrong ways and that will cause the other people judge you negatively?

@@swedensufal No, thats not it. I was sexually assaulted when I was 4 years old. Ever since, I have had a irrational fear that someone expresses interest beyond friends that my consent doesn't matter to them. When I freeze up, it's like fight or flight but my brain cant decide on either

    • @swedensufal

@@adrianlove7424 Sorry to hear the incident. It seems you intellectually understand the fear is irrational but emotionally you haven't been convinced that the fear is irrational. I guess cognitive flooding or some other techniques with the support of a compassionate and skillful therapist might relived your problem.

Good advice for women. Not so much for men

I agree with you on that
Most of these flirting techniques will work on men more as men are more open to moving things with women.

A couple of the principles generalize. No attachment to outcome. Reframe the interaction (Can you pretend to talk to me for a minute?) Be willing to walk away. Ask for an opinion or input. Fail fast. Don’t worry about behavior that is playful even if it’s a little exaggerated. Question the assumption that there is only one person for you on Earth. Question the assumption that you should not have to change ANYTHING to get a date.
