    I just went to my first tea cerimony, it was great, and this was all because your videos got me into tea. I seriously cannot thank you enough for all these videos, and getting lots of people into chinese tea culture!❤❤❤

    Finally pulled the trigger on buying a tea set and the 8 tea sampler, because your videos made me so excited to try gong fu tea, you made it look so fun!
    Everything came in this week, and I just sat down to try the roasted oolong!
    I'm not sure if i can keep buying from your store (customs fees and shipping costs are pretty steep), but thank you for setting me on this journey. Even if you can't be my go-to tea guy, I hope we can still be tea friends 😁

      ​@@jessesteahouseI'm from the Netherlands. I did know beforehand that it'd cost a bit extra, and I kinda fell in love with several things in your store when I looked (especially the dragon tea pet, he's so adorable), so it wasn't a very hard decision to make haha

    I recently started following you and now I rinse the green tea bags before actually infusing them in more water and at a lower temperature than the directions say, it really does taste smoother and more floral. Maybe in the future I will buy a leaf tea which is much more expensive, but for now I'll settle for tea bags. Thanks for all the advice!❤

      Trust me, if you buy the loose leaf although its more expensive at once its much less expensive overall, and you can immediately tell the flavor is much better

    I feel like i have a lot of similar feelings as terence when it comes to learning chinese as a chinese american. For me it was always really weird bc on top of that im also sixth generation so not even my grandparents speak and it felt like in a way i couldnt even connect to other chinese americans because of that disconnect, actually majoring in Chinese in university right now!

    I’ve noticed every one taps on the table when you pour more tea or a request for a refill is that something that’s common in china or tea practice in general?

      In case you never found the answer to this; it's a way of thanking your host without interrupting the conversation every 10 seconds to say thank you every time they pour you some tea. Refills are gonna keep coming until you turn your cup over.

    Hey friend, I know this is off topic but I was wondering if loose leaf pu-EHR could be pressed at home. I do quite a bit of hiking/camping and I really do not like to take loose leaf with me as it is bulkier and I find that the leaf breaks while being in my pack...
    Any help would be appreciated...

      You need equipment to do it, I would just buy pressed Tea cakes and take them with you

    I spent 70 bucks on a sampler of puer from yunnan sourcing. I was disappointed to find it all smells and tastes like urine. It's like Bear Grylls commissioned an entire category of tea.

    One thing I always see is the tapping when someone is pouring the tea for another person. What is that for?

    Hi Jesse quick question => l know you cannot reuse tea leaves till infinity as after few hours these develop slight TOXICITY [correct me if dr google told me wrong]. So in your opinion, how many hours after first brew the tea leaves are still ok ? sometimes l feel like 2-3 servings only and in the afternoon l would like to re-use the same leaves. Or should l stop being STINGY and just brew new batch ;)?? thankss
